  1. I believe the Mondial Fighter made it first US appearance two years ago. It was at the Ventura County Fair and the local paper was stating it was the ride's first appearance in the US at that time.
  2. I hit El Toro 15 times the first week in May, but my record is 22 on Goliath at MM.
  3. Props to MM. Not only did we get to ride night ERT with a midnight snack and full breakfast spread, but all day long fast pass on Saturday. Ended up with 20 rides in all, and no headache. The music on the ride makes it a complete experience. From the Enter Sandman with the voices to the heart beating. It really sets up the anticipation. Thanks again MM for a great time. Forget Disney, I found my happy place.
  4. Just received my ticket today, counts me in. I think the Gold Flash pass is almost the same as the Thrill Pass at MM. The thrill pass is good for unlimited fast pass; AYCE at Mooseburge Lodge, reserved show seating, a 5x7 main gate entrance photo and 25% off all merchandise purchases. The price is almost the same for one person, but the Gold drops in price as the quantity of people using it increases.
  5. At MM there are three racks with four balls each. Three are orange and worth one point and there is one black ball. They call the black ball the "money shot" and it is worth 2 points. For a total of 15 points if all balls are made. The shooter only gets 45 seconds, but when I was watching last week they let the player shoot even after the clock ran out. I did see a guy get twelve points. He won an Ipod Nano. It took about fifteen minutes to get him the prize. But, that and ten dollars was a small price to pay. I completely understand why they would not keep the larger prizes at the game. After he won, I watched seven or eight people play with no luck at all.
  6. Great!! Now everyone spills the beans on the correct name. All this time I thought it was "2-Xtreme", you know since the predecessor was called "The Xtreme."
  7. After watching, my impression was only the elephant ear (the piece of fiberglass between the inside seat and the train) was going installed. I did not hear anything about covering the gear rod. Maybe a cover might be added after they see how the train handles the elements. But, I think it has been said before...I am sure MM has taken all of this into consideration. But, I am definitely looking forward the new X2.
  8. God Is A Bullet(Live) - Concrete Blonde
  9. Club Innovation 010 - VoRo
  10. Beginnings - Memento
  11. The beefiness of the train now adds to the intimidation factor. This should be sweet.
  12. ^I have seen quite a few people do the don'ts. Great stuff
  13. Bad Religion - Godsmack
  14. Wish You Were Here - Floyd
  15. I downloaded the demo "Frenzic" for the iphone. I was so addicted; I bought the full version. It is an extremely simple concept, yet it pisses me off…good job.
  16. Until The End - Breaking Benjamin
  17. The Do(Steve Birch Mix)-Anne Savage
  18. I think it was all about the way the movie was shot. I think it was the only way to get the 1st person perspective which made the movie more intense and believable.
  19. Jessica and I had a great time. It was the first time we actually liked being in the park. Usually we would stop by for a hour or so, just to get my adrenaline fix. Saturday was different story. There were ride ops interacting with guest, clean midways, and after getting my free souvenir bottle filled, I was told to "enjoy the rest of my day." In the past few years, this is the kind of service I would not have associated with MM. From what I saw and heard things are changing for the better. The WOW has begun. Thank you to Robb and Elissa. I have been out of the theme park loop for a few months, and what a better way to come back. Tour, food, party and a piece of Flashback (I stole the track piece from Jessica). Thanks Again.
  20. Last show was I saw was Social Distortion at the Hollywood House Of Blues back in December.
  21. Nice pics, strange location. I would have gladly paid under 3 dollars for gas, but then I filled up yesterday with the cheap stuff at $3.45/gallon.
  22. I was up at the mountain today. Tatsu was two train/one side operation all day. It was at the point where the flashpass line was at the bottom of the exit ramp. All operating coasters were running two trains, except Goldrusher and Psyclone(as the other two trains are operating on Colossus). Most rides that were closed Friday, but opened today: Atom Smasher-operating Buccaneer-operating Circus Wheel-operating Flashback-closed Freefall-closed Jet Stream-closed Ninja-closed Orient Express-testing Psyclone-operating Scrambler-operating Sierra Twist-closed Swashbuckler-opened Tidal Wave-closed X: still down Overall not a bad day, but there has been much, much better.
  23. ^Great ride. Last ride was in the early 90's at a fair in New Mexico. The ride was all black with yellow lights. Try this: www.angelfire.com/movies/coastervideos/turbo.html
