  1. -SFOG -Carowinds -Dollywood -Kings Island -Cedar Point Also planning to hit up SFOG at least one more time for Fright Fest.
  2. If you want to get technical, I would argue that ALL Huss parts are rare now when you consider it how long it takes them to get them delivered to parks.
  3. Here's his quote from when the ride was announced: The fact the park won't say where it is being built buy did announce where SFWW's new slide is going kind of says it all....
  4. My main issue with Ed Hart is he sunshines pumps his prior record there with all the capital additions (T2, Chang, Thunder Run, Hell-A-Vater, Mile High Falls, Twisted Sisters, etc.), but fails to point out that KK could not have sustained that kind of growth for much longer. Attendance would have started to go flat (like it really does for all regional parks), yet his expenses would continue to rise. How was he going to increase revenue than? How is he going to do it now? You can't "Build it and they will come" forever, and he has never talked about his plan for when that happens. He faces a much different atmosphere now, with the tremendous growth Holiday World has had, with Kings Island no longer handcuffed by a movie studio, and even with Beech Bend making a huge transformation the last half decade or so. He blames Six Flags for not continuing his agressive expansion while not admitting that they DID keep it up at so many of their parks and it landed them in Chapter 11.
  5. So the state wants a private developer to come in, give them ZERO assistance for land that they own, make them FULLY pay to repair rides the state owns and has done NOTHING to maintain, not give the developer ANY ownership/property rights for their investment, and then sit back and rake in money from a lease that will make it VERY difficult for a developer to make their money back a grow the business, all while not agreeing to back the developer when it does fail because the state sets them up for it? Riiiiiight. And Ed Hart STILL wants in? He should probably check his ego at the door...
  6. Too bad that just based on "Major Infractions Cases" Texas A&M would be the dirtiest (well, tied with Auburn) program in the SEC with seven such cases. SMU and Arizona State are the all time leaders with 8 cases each.
  7. ^^Every major park should have a Giant Frisbee and one of the large Screamin' Swings. They are just so much fun and have good capacity.
  8. I'm sure Brad can expand on it, but when Goliath opened I remember reading an article where Melinda said they *could* have gone higher than 200 feet, but there is a lot of red tape involved with it so they chose to go with the "sure approval" with a 200ft lift. Goliath is towards the highest point in the park, and it sounds like Sky Screamer will be at one of the lower points so their height difference is only about 2 feet instead of the actual 40 foot difference if they would have been built side by side on level ground.
  9. Well....it's back!
  10. Reading between the lines....I guess the question now is what is being removed for Sky Screamer?
  11. Oh trust me, we have had fun with those
  12. Yeah I would not have guessed that coaster in a million years.
  13. Yeah he's supposedly a pretty good manager, or so I'm told. Awesome report! Frontier City seems like such a neat little park. Got to get myself out there soon!
  14. The SEC rule only prohibits it at conference events. Beer is allowed for the Chick Fil A Kickoff games that involve SEC teams, but is not allowed when the SEC Championship game is held even though it is in the same stadium.
  15. Some of you would be very disappointed if you saw the actual numbers they are pulling in now that they are just a waterpark. The area flat out refused to support a park the size of Alabama Adventure, for a variety of reasons. The waterpark has done pretty well on its own so far.
  16. The problem with opening Buzzsaw/Gorge is they are so far away from all of the waterpark attractions. Plus I have always hated everything about Wild River Gorge so I actually enjoy seeing it closed
  17. Eli Bridge did issue a bulletin a few years ago telling parks to either install seat belts on the ride or to enforce the "no single riders rule" on Scramblers.
  18. I will say I have been surprised somewhat at how things have gone this year. Sure there are plenty of people that are upset, but the crowds have been decent so far, IMO.
  19. Parts of it are being used for other things. It has also been discussed some to possibly reopen at least one or two of the water rides from that side in the future as well.
  20. Wild Eagle yesterday at Dollywood. Perfect ride for that park.
  21. You aren't going to see anyone really on that cam simply because there is nothing there to draw people to that part of the park. One the Aqua Course goes in there I'm guessing you'll start to see a good number of people on the cam.
  22. Buzzsaw Falls is still up for sale. The two new water attractions are actually being built outside of the existing waterpark. The water maze is being built in between the Celebration Street area and the waterpark entrance and the aqua course is going where the old Cedar Point fountain was located.
  23. The biggest thing with today was the new season pass system not working. That was a real headache. Unfortunately the new water attractions also are ready yet, but it will be a pretty decent waterpark once they are ready. Several rides a completely gone now such as the Carousel, Giant Wheel, and Fender Bender.
  24. ^It's a season pass holder "Bring a friend free day," so it good get crowded.
