Photo TR: The Holy Land Experience 4/9/05
Jeezus Juice replied to BarryH's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Thanks for saving us all $25 Barry! They need a Shoot-the-Cutes full of Holy water. It could even be an upcharge ride since you get god juice splashed in your face. At least is the park ever goes under Kent Buescher can buy it and put a boomerang in there somewhere. J "If ever there was a park for a coaster named Hades..." Juice -
Paramount Kings Dominion fun
Jeezus Juice replied to joshg678's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Dude, your mom's hot. :o Firefall looks better than I thought it would after reading about it in theose surveys. I would kindof expect PGA to have gotten one of these already seeing as they hate coasters. I'll prolly put PKD on the list next year. I still need the XLC credit. -Don -
Worst Coaster Ever?

^ Not if homeland security does their job!!! j/k Although the canadian nazi at the booth made us talk to a REAL mountie before they'd let us in. He was all trying to use 9/11 to hassle us too! At the Quebec crossing the dude was all, "Bonjour! Have fun" Don "Stupid traffic cop trying to be a boarder guard" Garrison -
Thanks, that actually made me lol a bit! I was trying to come up with something but the juices...they weren't flowing. -Don

Any other Geocachers on here?
Jeezus Juice replied to disneyfan1313's topic in Random, Random, Random
Hey, I just found my first cache! Here I am at work reading this thread and I put my zip code in and find out there is one near me! I work at the VA in San Francisco, you can actually see it in the opening scene of Soarin' (off to the right on the bluff overlooking the ocean) which is right in the middle of the Golden Gate rec area so there are lots of trails. Being a VA there is one trail dedicated to the Battle of the Buldge where the cache was hidden. I don't have a GPS but I was able to follow the clues and find the cache behind "the treestump covered with iceplant". I don't know how many times I've walked right by it. Pretty fun, I may have to get myself a GPS now. Don "Coaster Tool, Geocacher, Juggalo" Garrison -

Gardaland Discussion Thread
Jeezus Juice replied to Rockman89's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well, it was just testing so there is a chance that what we saw is not the final program. However, I never saw the origional screamscape video when it ran with people so maybe this IS the program. Either way Gardaland looks like fun anyway, plus it's not like they removed something cool to put this in. For some reason I think this will feel just like riding Swat. -Don -
Worst Coaster Ever?
Jeezus Juice replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^If your lucky enough to ride behind a car full of skirts then the loading station is pretty damn cool. Then of course god punishes you throughout the rest of the course. IMO, it's totally worth it. Actually the Volares remind me of that scene in Temple of Doom where that guy is locked in a cage and lowered into the lava pit. Only imagine if the cage was swung against the walls all the way down! J "Stupid Volares!" J -

All the same guys I'm probably still going to go down to Magic Springs. I've got 3 days in Branson and I'd regret not visiting a new park when it's only a few hours away, even if I only stay for 4 hours. Plus I'd like to ride SFStL's/Dollywood's old mine train, and marathon the only wooden coaster in the state. I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to visiting new parks. I once drove 5 hours each way in a day just to spend 4 hours at Silverwood. Totally worth it. OTOH I have a pilot friend who is overnighting in White Plains who doesen't want to make the 2 hour drive to SFNE because he heard Supes is only running one train. I however, would totally be there. Farral! If your listening, go get the Mr. Six credit already! -Don -
Do me next do me next! I want something smart and sassy with a twist of lime, subdued but in you face. Also, if you can include something about wrestling, that would be great. Thanks J

Enter the Golden Kingdom
Jeezus Juice replied to GAcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow, that looks pretty awesome. I kinda want to hug one of the girls in the Tiger costumes J "...those were girls right? Right?!" J -
Cupids' Chariot huh? I just hope they don't put in a pink woodie. Prolly not considering their in a red state and all but still. What about a groovy Morgan Mine train with lots of tunnels and trenches? Most mine trains kinda suck, but anyone who's ridden Quicksiler Express knows what the modern mine train is capable of. Maybe theme it after the mine where they harvest those candy hearts. And they could tie the whole land together with a cherub skyway. J "Still think they need a Devils Night section" J

Project Tumble Weed?
Jeezus Juice replied to benzo41190's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think there is a field in Indiana somewhere with some forgotten coasters. Also a log flume I think... The 4D rumor is wrong, everybody knows that SFGAm is getting Gadv's Viper. I think it's going in Wizzers spot. -Jezze "that pretty much the worst idea of all time, GOSH!" Jooze -

Thanks for posting the pics! I was thinking of going to this park in June as part of my Branson trip. I'm already planning on driving down to Magic Springs from Brando but I don't think that Libertyland is worth the extra drive from Magic Springs. At least you got to go out and ride some coasters! You've got two credits that I don't have. grrr..... -J2 -

Well, thery're a bit late, but here are some pix from our trip! Dude, how awesome IS Kracken! Monica likes they Batman OMG this is like Windstorm #4 for me Since I feel I have to choose...Fire. I make friends wherever I go! Gangsta Tut! Check out this Mini-Mullet! Why even go to Hollywood anymore? -
^ there's your answer folks. That's about as concise and to the point as it gets. If you want to count it, count it. It kinda fun to tease each other about contoversial counts, "Dude, your counting that again?! All they did was turn the train around!!" (SFMM Colossus, yes I have a friend that counted it again!) But really, all the differences in counting methods will only change your count 2-5% anyway. Only one coaster I've ridden I've ridden somewhere else and so far I've only ridden one Moebius (racer). So my count is 394 +/- 5 depending on how you count. I actually used to count Devils Den until it started bothering me. Yes, that would only happen to a tool and yes, it makes me feel dirty. But hey, it's not like I've ridden that coaster at Uncle Bernies or anything!! -Don "Only j/k don't get upset" Demarko

I've ridden both the real and video versions of Blue Streak, Gemini, and Magnum, does that equal 6?

New Jersey Shore Parks...help
Jeezus Juice replied to Jeezus Juice's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^^thanks for the OC/AC tips. I'll check the map but it sounds like there isn't much of a draw there coasterwise. ^I'd love to go visit Atlantic City and the Boardwalk but due to time constraints if I did go my time there would be limited. I've found that with these types of places not much is really gained from a rush trip through. It took me 3 trips to Vegas before we actually stayed in the city more than an afternoon. I definately got more out of it then. Looks like Wildwood and Clementon are definately on the list with the others as possibilities depending on how are time goes. Does "swingman" still work there? I've been wanting to see that guy since '01! I may actually end up back at playland for the credits we missed last summer (flyer, mouse, and that steel family one). -Don "Watch, I'll scratch NJ all together and just drive up to SFNE!" G -
New Jersey Shore Parks...help
Jeezus Juice replied to Jeezus Juice's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thanks! I'm going to plot all these on my map and see if I can connect the dots in any discernable order. At any rate, it looks like Wildwood is now a definate stop. Clementon is still in the air, I'm planning an open day incase KK is having issues on our first day there. Always good to have a contingency plan. I guess I can thank Hershey for not building Turbulence, thus freeing up an extra day. I wonder if the New Jersey water is safe to swim in.... -Don -
-edit- In reference to the PCW question ->No, it's that groovy mack powered coaster through the brown mountain of doom. I count it. S:TE is also powered for most of it's circuit and I count that too. (twice ) -Don "I'm not counting Dudley though" Don -edit- In reference to your post I'm just seeing now -> Yeah, well Space is getting a cool new sign, that means everybody has to count it again! or not, or something. I do see your point though. I'm just really glad it's reopening. At least I KNOW I can count Space at DLP this summer! -Deeze Stupid edits, Do you know if they are using the same supports for the Space Mountain redo? Now that I think about it, I remember seeing new track hauled in but I didn't see any new supports...

Well, Kingda Ka and Hydra aren't going to take a whole week so I've decided to visit the small parks in Jersey. I've never been to any of the piers before and using the rcdb for them is kinda confusing. There are alot listed but I don't know which are the best, which are still operating, or even if one company owns several piers. For anyone whose been before, what would be the best way to see everything efficiently? I don't mind a little driving, but I'd like to squeeze the most into a day that I can. Also, I haven't been to Clementon yet either but the park doesn't really seem worth the admission price just for J2. Any thoughts, comments? I'm planning on going in the first part of June, after memorial day if that helps. -Thanks -Don

I'm excited about pretty much all the new coasters this year. Even Mr. Six looks fun (reguardless of the fact that I've already ridden it in two places already) Dons Top 5 Picks for 05, in no particular order: Sheikra Hydra Kingda Ka Hades and Rita Though I'm easily most excited about Sheikra, perhaps because that's the one I'm hitting first, perhaps because I'm duck-stomp insane. -J "who knows" J Kannonen looks awesome though, have fun guys!
