  1. Looks like it was a great group and Coasting for kids Event at Valleyfair, might consider heading out there next year for it.
  2. ^ I'm actually contemplating selling my DS and getting a 3DS to join in on the fun. My latest mystery box contained a whopping $250. Even with this update I'm logging in every other day or so to do stuff. All interest in this game is coming to an end with lack luster updates and nothing that requires me to pay attention more than once a day max. Granted if they ever do another whacking day esq. update I'll gladly pay attention again but until then it's just there.
  3. You're welcome along with every one else. Glad to have sorted out the resizing business. SkyScreamer's are more nerve wracking to me, Since the chains allow the chairs to swing in the wind it definetley ups the scary factor compared to stationary Windseeker Seats. If you haven't watched the video of Chad Crapping himself on the Texas one you should, and be sure to watch the tower in the back ground. You will notice it goes in and out of frame a bit from the wind spinning us. This can not be stressed enough! Thank you everyone else for the comments as I continue to tweak and get better at presenting good trip reports.
  4. Can't wait for the day I finally ride Balder
  5. Seems like everyone is having fun and the trip is off to a great start. Thank you for the updates and videos while on the go!
  6. Loch Ness monster - BGW
  7. Hurler - KD and Carowinds
  8. Space Mountain - WDW/DL/TDL
  9. Those are some great looking trains! Curious how these new style trains and restraints will feel.
  10. Wouldn't be an EA update with out a pointless glitch....
  11. Phantom's Reveneg at Kennywood. I honestly hadn't heard much regarding this ride, and being the Combination of two less than appealing companies seemed a bit scary, Turned out to be an extremely fun, smooth, and airtime filled ride! Totally took me by surprise in the best way possible.
  12. Between that and finding Frozen Dirty Shirley drinks , I could end up with one scary bill. After sampling an item from each stand last Saturday, I have to say Busch did a great job at creating their Food and Wine festival. I would put it right on par with Epcot just not as many stands. Busch portions are more generous for the $3-$5 range and even the not so stand out items I tried were still delicious. I also like that for $10 you can buy a souvenir wine glass that stands will fill up for the same price as the small pours. So if you are going multiple times or just like a whole lot of wine it's a bargain! The other bonus is the Season pass discounts apply to all beverages and food! The stand out items to our group was the Grilled cheese with honey from Greece, Meat Balls in Scandinavia, and then the Pumpkin Mouse in canada. So if you are going I highly recommend getting those three. Or at least the honey cheese, since we all went for a 2nd round of it. Ultimately it looks like the festival will be a success and I look forward to Busch building on the offerings next year.
  13. Downloading the update now. Perhaps it'll rekindle my interest in the game. I haven't touched it in over a week.
  14. Dominator - KD last Sunday for coasting for kids.
  15. Looks the issues with Moser have worked in their favor of getting a far better ride.
  16. Had a great time at Kings Dominion, they gave all participants a little goodie bag that and some random Kings Dominion stuff in it. The new shirts this year were great looking too. It seemed like all involved this year stepped it up a bit and the event was a huge success. It was interesting going from last year where the whole group rode a coaster together all day to a park where basically it's an honor system that you will ride the ride your group is assigned for that hour. The small groups also meant some operators at rides were not as involved or aware of what was taking place (big kudos to the I305 crew though for rocking and being involved in getting us in empty seats). Then it was apparent some of the other groups may have skipped their ride times on certain less appealing rides, which isn't the point of the event was a let down to see happening. The big thing i missed though was The enthusiasm and energy levels that a large group together has (think ERT session vibe vs just being alone). I like both methods for different reasons and they both work out fine and keep the spirit of the fundraiser. Though i would have preferred some sort of kick off and/or ending hour as a group on a ride to get people pumped for the day and to have that big we are here for a cause together feeling that being alone on a train doesn't have. Just a little thought for next years planning. With that it was still one of the best days I've had at Kings Dominion and I can't thank Cedar Fair, Give Kids The World, and Thme Park Review for all being involved in letting us do an event like this. Looking forward to next year all ready!
  17. Have to agree about Phantoms Revenge with you. Row 2 surprised us big time and became a go to seat and made that ride so much more than I expected. The boasters on our ghost car were also horrible with aim so it wasn't just your car. Great updates from two great parks.
  18. Thanks for the intro to the event chuck! Already have a few must try items picked out for tomorrow.
  19. This week I had the pleasure of going down to Six Flags Over Georgia for the first time and meeting up with RD, Matt, and Lauren. After reports from Deep South Bash, and other's reviews it was one of the Six Flags parks I was looking forward to finally getting to. The park was well shaded, reasonably clean, staff were friendly and efficient and the rides seem to be well taken care of. All of it just didn't give the normal Six Flags park feeling which made for a great visit to one of the better properties. And While none of the coasters will crack most top 10 lists, it is a well rounded collection of purely fun rides in my book. I do hope to make it back to this park one day. Here's a few of my thoughts on some of the rides: Mind Bender - My now favorite Anton coaster, surprising Air, good forces and great pacing. Goliath - Out of all the B&M Mega coasters I've ridden this one could be the best. It was running well, love not having a mid course break, and the Helix is decent. DDD - It's creep quiet when it runs... especially if no one is screaming on the ride. Hard to believe it's related to some of the other Euro-fighters. Ninja - despite the hype on how horrible this ride was, it actually wasn't that bad. Apparently the Arrow trains have helped make it ridable. Though it's still not re-ridable in my book. Georgia Cyclone - The work RMC is doing, just wow! The difference it makes in the old vs. new track is unbelievable! Superman - Wow! What a difference terrain makes for this coaster. Monster Mansion - This was my most anticipated ride in the park, and I loved the odd, cheesy, cute, bizarreness of it. If only six flags could some how do more original ride and/or character concepts. Little Known Fact about Gertrude, she flys to SFOG to breed. Will it be Anton or the Kennel for RD? "God is that you?" Anton would prove to be a wonderful #400 for me, And if you can ever ride one of his creations with RD, I highly suggest it! Dive Dive Dive!!!! Or in this case silent, silent, silent. How is this ride soo smooth and quiet? And cue the "oh crap" moment The other "oh crap" moment is being a week to early for this concert. And then there is this piece of crap... Intensity is not the word to describe Ninja.... but it's now wrapped and ready to advertise. In case you didn't know SFOG got a tall new addition this year. That's right, another Sky Screamer has been installed. A little sign love. Sorry the way they had the overflow line configured and my lack of zoom doesn't get all the details. Basically it goes up and down and round and round and round and round. After just riding SFOT's giant version this one just looks like it hasn't hit puberty yet. Why not one more photo of Anton doing his thing. Certainly look forward to going back at some point! Thanks for reading.
