rodeo is not even as good as it used to be. I think they decreased the speed, the amount of spinning, or something. The ride always used to be down so they had to alter it some how. It's not as forceful or fun compared to two years ago. The Rodeo used to have an AWESOME cycle. It used to go really fast and it would spin both ways. It would start in one direction... then halfway through it would stop and start spinning in the other direction. This is back when it was first installed though. The one at Ocean City at the Pier still had a great cycle last time I was there. They actually removed it, but it was a long cycle and spun well. It was replaced with a temporary portable drop tower for one season, then when the tower left a Jump-and-Smile ride was put there. Those types of rides are alright, but definitely a downgrade. Dang!!! My favorite was still the one Santa Cruz Boardwalk - its under the boardwak, in the dark, and plays music. At least Jolly Roger at the Pier has a power Surge now! That is awesome.

Laff Track doesn't spin all that much. Its much more tame then a Pandemonium in my opinion. -

Six Flags in general needs not only faster service but better food options. I LOVE this park but the food options is ridiculous. Both my BF thought that having so many food stands sell the same things is pretty silly. They all sell something with fries. There are a few things that are different but I got bored of the food here fast. However, this is a problem at most chain amusement parks.

Just buy a line skipper. -
I have only been to this park once.... I will be coming down next week and plan on going to the park Thursday 6/29 (later afternoon if my plane lands on time and night) and Friday 6/30/17. May I ask how the crowds are usually on Thursdays and Fridays? We want multiple rides on pretty much every coaster since we won't get to this park much being from Maryland. Think we may need a Flash Pass?

You are complaining enough, but not to the correct audience. If you are insinuating I don't (also) complain to the park, you're wrong. Every single survey. I used to do the same thing for Six Flags America. I also provided a lot of feed back on their FB page. I have officially been blocked from their FB page. Its the only Six Flags page in the chain I can not 'like'. Not saying I am proud of that.

^ in the same boat!! I was only there a few weeks ago because the BF got free tickets from his job. Cedar Fair has the best line skipper option hands down. Unlimited rides without any specific times. Just Buy and ride - that simple. -
Okay, more what one may call "European parks" flat rides Zamperla is selling more stuff in the US lately, I think the Luna Park showcase of their rides is helping and Owa should boost that more. I really like the Zamperla rides I have been on. I wish SF would buy more Endeavours and try out a Hawk, Power Surge, and the Super spin. Air Race's also looks cool or in the same genre SF could try a Gerstlauer Sky roller or Sky Fly. Never been on Fabbri rides, but checked out their website and they have some interesting looking stuff, some of it is similar in concept to Zamperla's. Mondial has some interesting things that Cedar Fair is trying like the Inferno(CA Wonderland 2017) and Top Scan(KB 2017). The Mondial Tornado and Super Nova also seem like good rides. I'm still hoping somebody buys a Huss 2nd gen Enterprise. You ask for examples so I gave them. These rides do not have to be *European" rides. Anyone in the world is free to buy from these companies and install these rides. I never understood why the USA does not install these awesome rides.

I LOVE Hersheypark. They are one of the few parks in the region that has awesome food. LOVE the place next to Trailblazer. Anyway... my only complaint is their line skipper option is terrible. Just one ride on most of the coasters. I have spoken with them about paying an upgrade to get multiple rides and its just not an option. I am someone who does not mind paying extra for a line skipper and I usually do it when I visit a park on the weekends. I just do not have the luxury of going during the week days with having limited vacation time every year. -
Yeah, as much as I LOVE new rolly coasters, I definitely think that area there needs to be the focus of the next year or two at GAdv. Hopefully, that is their thought as well, and JL is just the first step in really revitalizing, and reclaiming that area as useful, and attractive park space! Keep in mind this area has been closed off for years! Almost since the Chiller was taken out. If JL is a hit they may add more and more back there.

I assume you're referring to the Sky Screamer's at Six Flags over Texas and Six Flags New England, respectively. Both of which are over 400 feet tall! Yep, I have rode them both. Non traditional flats? What would that be? SF is a creature of habit and cloning. Only 3 SF parks are without Sky Screamers and I would bet GAm and MM will get them soon. SF is likely going to keep on installing Giant Discoveries, 3 in the last 2 years. Another staple flat ride that many patrons like. I expect they will come up with a new clone ride for the super loop. They may have topped off after 8 in a 2yr span and none last year. Of course they did take a yr break in sky screamers after installing at least 1 every year for 5 years and then went back to it in 2017. Yes, ones you do not normally see at parks.... 1. Unicoaster - Chance 2. Freestyle = Chance 3. Air Race - Zamperla 4. Endeavour - Zamperla 5. Power Surge - Zamperla 6. Super Spin - Zamperla 7. Energy Storm - Zamperla 8. Stampede - Wisdom 9. Y Factor - Wisdom 10. Viper - Wisdom 11. Booster - Huss 12. Topple Tower - Huss 13. Jump - Huss (I know Canada's Wonderland had problems with theirs but Huss still makes this ride and its so much fun to me) 14. Dancinf Fly Midi - Fabbri 15. Inversion - Fabbri 16. Niagara - Fabbri 17. Eclipse - Fabbri 18. Magic Dance - Fabbri 19. Super Orbiter - Fabbri 20. Suspended Polyp - Gerstlauer 21. Water Cosater - Intamin 22. Flume - Intamin 23. Rocket - Funtime

Do it! We are getting them popping up in Baltimore and I love it! -
I just returned from a Great Escape, SFNE, Compounce, Quassy, SFNJ trip and will be writing up something this week. First RMC conversion coaster ride for me on Wicked Cyclone and I am hooked. While I think an RMC ROAR would finally give the park a coaster I could love, I don't see it happening. ROAR is a cold weather coaster for sure and people will catch on to this only adding to FF and HitP. SFGAm's impulse seems most likely. If they were going to spend money I could see another Joker 4D cookie cuttered in. The easiest way to disperse that crowded parking lot in the park itself is a path between Coyote Creek and the back of Gotham. When they do that they can clear the area for the Impulse or a Joker 4D. It would create some hype and buy a year. Change the restraints on Mind Eraser (which made it a tolerable ride at SFNJ). Drop in some Freestyle beverage stops while they're at it. I would rather see them focus on ride op and food service training, couldn't advertise it, but it would help. I would love for them to partner with Chik Fil A in some way to have them train food staff and run the booths. SFNJ? I think you meant SFNE which has a Mind Eraser invert like SFA. OMG the new trains on the Mind Eraser at SFNE give it a complete 180 turn around for the better. I LOVE the restraints on it. The ME is one of my favorite coasters and if SFA bought the new trains I am sure the ridership would rise. The SLC at Morey's has the comfortable restraints as well plus the layout there is a little different. One of my favorite boardwalk coasters hands down. Wicked Cyclone is AWESOME!!! I still prefer Iron Rattler but WC was really fun!

Wonder Woman is burning up the charts, and Six Flags has themed new rides at SFA and SFDK to Wonder Woman, not to mention the three JLBFM rides going in at SFOG, SFGAdv, and SFMM where Wonder Woman is part of the themeing. I don't really understand your criticism here. Totally agree! My only complaint is why has so much been wrapped around Batman, Superman, and Joker? We have a hint of others thrown in but not as much as them main 3 it seems. - I would love to see more water rides themed to Aquaman - as far as I know there is only one and its quite small. - What about a ride like Justice League but its themed to Suicide Squad. - The Flash could make an neat theme for an impulse coaster. There are dozens upon dozens of characters in the DC arsenal. Unfortunately, most of them are just not known outside of the comic book world. I am sure awesome rides concepts could be created for - Amanda Waller, Amethyst, Anarky, Anti-Monitor, Ares, Arsenal, Atom, Atrocitus, Bane, Batgirl, Batwoman, Beast Boy, Big Barda, Birds of Prey, Black Adam, Black Canary, Black Mantra, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Brainiac, Captain Boomerang, Captain Cold, Clayface, Deadshot, etc. Maybe as DC makes more and more movies bringing more and more different characters to life we will see more and more rides popping up with their names on them.

I went to The Enchanted Forest when I was a child. I do not remember much but my mom says I have been.

Is it though? I know these rides were cheap at first but all indications are that they're much more expensive now. The cheapest option for this park is to focus on small additions and occasionally move in a relocated coaster. That's the sort of what they seem to be focusing on now and it seems to be working out for them. I don't really see why they'd break from that strategy. I totally agree here. They know they do not need to cater to the enthusiast world. That is not their prime demographic. Six Flags Inc has been doing a great job with maintaining what they have. I would love to see lots and lots more flat rides, some more advanced technology water slides since this is their biggest draw, and some awesome relocated coasters.
