Have booked up from 6th-8th July at AT Hotel and two day park entry. Bit nervous that it all be a bit shambolic early on particularly as we’re taking our 5yo who has Aspergers. Has anyone heard if the CBeebies show and characters will be on? My boy loves Duggee and would be good if it was on although I suspect it won’t be to begin with..... -

Sitting in storage since 2011? Doesn’t sound particularly re-assuring..... -
I'm saddened by this news. I love B & M inverts and having two together was great. My sadness is that I never got to ride properly duelling. The one time I queued at the front for it they messed up the duelling. One of life's little regrets. When I was in Florida last summer I got to ride them both one last time. Still great coasters imo but couldn't help feeling it was being quietly edged out of Potterland. I really hope it can find a new home but worry that Rob sees it as unlikely. Would be a real loss and a wee bit like the end of an era.

Good spot. Will not be sorry to see Tornado going either. Don't know where this leaves the park right enough. -

Drove past yesterday on the motorway. There's certainly a big gap on the park skyline now. Not sure what the replacement will be but I don't see it being another coaster. -

Good lord, who had to write the sales sheet for that one? "This is your chance to own one of Scotland's b̶e̶s̶t̶ most "thrilling" theme park attractions! Ride includes t̶w̶o̶ one gently used trains̶. Ride has only run for 16 days since it passed it's last comprehensive safety inspection by our in-house safety inspector who has since b̶e̶e̶n̶ ̶b̶a̶n̶n̶e̶d̶ ̶f̶r̶o̶m̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶p̶a̶r̶k̶ ̶d̶u̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶b̶o̶r̶d̶e̶r̶l̶i̶n̶e̶ ̶c̶r̶i̶m̶i̶n̶a̶l̶ ̶n̶e̶g̶l̶i̶g̶e̶n̶c̶e̶ retired. Toddler narrowly avoids injury in M&D's Tsunami crash http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-36651692 Am I being slightly cynical in doubting this version of events? Edit to avoid double post. Further article as media try to destroy park's reputation: http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/mds-paid-100k-compensation-injuries-8306314#4Y56LIv9G0DrQbqD.97 -

Other witnesses saying it was as the ride started. With the damage shown it looks likely to have been round he first drop. The cars seemed to all have turned at a strange angle as they're facing back into the ride. -

Pretty shocking for this to happen so close to home. Hard to imagine how the hell it all came off the track. Had any kids been playing in that kids bike area the consequences would have been so much worse. Probably a good thing the weather wasn't great and it would have been quieter. This could have grave consequences for the park. Not got the best reputation as it is. Of course there are the inevitable overreactions on social media. I saw someone on Facebook suggesting the banning of all rollercoasters! -

Wonder what loose psychological fear connection they will try to shoehorn into this ride.... -
Quick TR. Went with my coaster hating wife and two young kids. Didn't arrive til after 1130. Park was really quiet, pretty much walk ons on everything. By time we had lunch at Dragon Fire (pretty decent I thought) and the boys had done the Panotopia kids rides we headed round to Stanleyville to get on Skyride. It was shut due to weather. I'll admit now I chickened out of FF. Then went to go on Sheikra only for that to be closed for weather as I was about to board. Headed to Sesame St only for whole park to go down for weather. Waited an hour then boys did all of Sesame St. Pretty good I thought for young ones. I then got choice of one coaster. Went for Cheetah Hunt as never been on it. Liked it and good airtime in back of car but not as big an acceleration as I was expecting. Rain came back on not long after so pretty frustrating day as a coaster fan. I love Busch Gardens and would have loved to get on more myself. Was great seeing the kids loving the rides though.
