Just realised despite my meticulous planning that our day at HS is a day they aren't doing the fireworks. Is it worth heading to the park on another day just to see them? eg on a water park day?

So..... First test run 14th April. Any conceivable chance of a soft opening by May 18th?

It is a truly awful coaster. So much so I always miss it out even though it's my local park. The weather has been pretty bad. Why anyone would ride it in this weather, let alone ever, is a mystery to me.

The riders were stuck around 20ft off the ground on the ride, called Tornado, for up to half an hour during the incident on Saturday afternoon. The fire service used a cherry picker to remove the riders from the attraction in North Lanarkshire. No one was injured. A fire service spokesman said shortly before 4pm that they had removed most of the riders. The spokesman said: "We are working with on site staff using a cherry picker to remove members of the public from the rollercoaster." The theme park's website says that "riders are taken on a whirlwind journey" on the Tornado, which is M&D's biggest rollercoaster.

Sad that the activists seem to have won, but I'm sure there are ways that Seaworld can shuffle their arrangements to keep a similar product to now. Hoping it's a tactical withdrawal rather than a complete surrender.

Still "summer 2016" for both projects, but late May/early June looks plausible especially since Kong has been testing since a few weeks back. Going to be tight for my trip. In week of 13-20 May I have a nervous wait for these two, Mako and Cobras Curse.

Is there any update as to possible openings of Kong and re-opening of Hulk? Both look fairly advanced.

^ well that's screwed some plans. When at DL Paris our oldest had a sleep at dinner and we enjoyed some wine which made the rest of the evening at the park that bit more relaxing. Because we're not staying at a resort hotel planned some drinking at Epcot and MK as it was easiest days not to have car with the two kids in tow. Now that MK is out the picture I'll need to replan to get some drinking in!

I've just been reading that Be Our Guedt is the only place that serves alcohol in MK. Is this true?

This is making me hopeful it will be ready for my visit in May.

Having a look at the shows on offer. Going with a nearly 5 year old and a restless 20 month old. I see the shows are 30 minutes long. Which ones are likely to suit? Thought A is for Africa and Opening Night Critters looked best?

So this could be up and roaring soon then?

Can I ask some advice on child swap? We have a 4 year old and 20 month old. If I take my 4 year old and we use child swap, wil they let him go back on with my wife, or is it just my wife? I know WDW allow this but unsure about Universal.

X2 and Tatsu would always be my first choice. Haven't been on YC so not sure about that. After that they're all much of a muchness but all are good in their own ways. Just try to get on as many as you can.
