  1. Wow. This looks far more intense than a 'family coaster.'
  2. Sad to see the Log Flume go. It holds memories from my childhood visit and it was the only real ride that I went on. Like every ride closure it very much depends on what replaces it.
  3. I suspect Merlin will take this on the chin given their conduct thus far.
  4. ^Ariel always gets things white I think you'll find.
  5. Just read on another site (don't know whether appropriate to name) about Big Thunder closing April-July. Seems a very strange time to do a rehab. Not sure my 4 year old would have braved it and been on the Paris one more recently so not the end of the world I suppose. Although finding out Toy Story Mania closing in same article was more annoying.
  6. Is that blood paint again?
  7. ^yup. Particularly as it it's likely to be a few years before I'm back in Florida.
  8. ^ I'm planning to be there May 17th so likely to be horribly close. Got the same worries with Mako.
  9. Read somewhere that Big Thunder Mountain is down from April to July this year. Is this true? Gutted if it is.
  10. I think Kraken would sneak it for me in front of Hulk. Can't wait to try Manta when I'm there though as to which is the best in Orlando.
  11. Given the room it takes up and the dreadfully slow ops on Grand Prix I would be delighted to see the back of it.
  12. If I only get the chance to ride one dragon which should I be going for?
  13. Please hurry up! Must be ready for my visit!!!!!
  14. Can't say the pre-show ever bothered me that much. Probably just because I was so excited about the coaster that I sort of ignored it.
  15. To be honest there is so much else to do in the parks that even with the absence of the stunt show it's still going to be overwhelming for a four year old as it is. Did I say my 4 year old Robb? I really meant myself!
  16. ^ could be an option if he's misbehaving! Will need to see how brave he's being. Things like Spider-Man, Jurassic Park and similar rides in other parks are going to be a gamble. You never quite know until it's too late usually.
  17. Helpful advice above (thanks) re the HP rides. So to be clear Escape should be ok but Forbidden Journey is likely to be a no-no?
  18. ^ thanks. I think he'll just make the 48" by the time he arrives there. I'll have big shoes on him!
  19. ^ thanks ST. We've got the Windsor one but its five hours drive (at least) from us. Think we'll go. Especially for sake of younger one who'll maybe get more out of it than some of the other parks.
  20. Is the park worth a trip down from Orlando? Have a nearly 5 year old and a 20 month old so guessing they would really like it?
  21. Some trip advice please if you don't mind? Travel in Mid-may with wife (not a theme park person generally but loves HP) and a nearly 5 yr old and a 20 month old. My questions are; 1) how long are the lines in May? Will I need an express pass? 2) if I'm using an EP and child swap do you need 2 EPs or just one? Do you need a child EP? 3) are the HP trains pram/stroller friendly? 4) are the Forbidden Journey/Escape rides ok for a 4/5 year old?
  22. But disappointed with the timing of it closing as I think my four year old would have loved it but we're not going until May. I'm guessing the Toy Story land will be the same as DL Paris?
  23. If they took Dragons out I'm not sure I would even bother going to IOA.
  24. ^ thanks. I'll live in hope! They certainly seem to be making good progress with it.
  25. That news makes me sad. Looks like it won't be ready for my visit.
