So I'm using it now. It feels much faster than firefox. My only problem so far is that when I use my little scrolly thingy ma-jig on the right section of my touch pad on my laptop, it only scrolls down. And it does it extremely fast, any way to fix/change this, because I use it a lot.

Obama or McCain or Beemerboy?
okinawaboy11 replied to dragsterfan420's topic in Random, Random, Random
Oh I could care less about marriage. While yes McCain says he will give us benefits, so does Obama...and then some. Such as the Don't Ask Don't Tell, Obama wants to get rid of it, while McCain says we're a threat. I'm sorry, but last time I checked, my sexual orientation doesn't effect how I fire a gun or however I defend my country. -
Arg, this sucks so bad. I feel so bad for all of you in New Orleans, if I was religious I would say my prayers are going out for you... but I'm not, so I'm saying good luck and stay safe! It was originally forecast to hit as a cat. 4, now they have it as a cat 3. Which is a little bit better I guess. I know New Orleans is many peoples home, but after this, depending on damages, I really think they shouldn't rebuild the city, or at least move it to another location. Honestly, what if it were to happen again next year, or the year after that? You never know with these things. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Obama or McCain or Beemerboy?
okinawaboy11 replied to dragsterfan420's topic in Random, Random, Random
Well, being a RAGING homosexual, . Obviously I'm voting for Obama. Not my favorite, but he has more to offer me than McCain ever will. Plus, my parents are hard core republicans so my sister and I have to cancel out their votes. Oddly enough my boyfriend is a republican (Wierd I know) and he has yet to explain to me the amazing-ness of McCain. What I like most about Obama besides his more pro-gay side is his support for the middle class. I also have heard that McCain will possibly bring back the draft. Now I'm not sure if this is true nor do I believe it as of now. If it ever becomes official than there is no way in hell he will ever get my vote. Call me a coward, call me what you want. My dad being military I give all my respect to those who serve, but serving should defiantly be ones choice. You shouldn't be forced to do something you don't want to do. I had more to say but I forgot...oh well. And for all you 14, 15, 16, and 17 year old's, please tell me your not just saying who your parents are voting for. I was that way when I was 15, then you know what hit the fan and I came to a serious realization about politics. Don't get me wrong, I'm far from a bachelors in politics, but I know what I need to. Oh and... Amen to that! (No pun intended) -
The Official TPR "East Coast/Behemoth Trip" Update
okinawaboy11 replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I did ERT on Skyliner with ACE when the Minor League playoffs were at that stadium. The owner wanted the coaster running the entire game to give that "America's past time feel" to the game. I found the airtime in the last seat down the first hill to be almost uncomfortable with those buzz bars. My thighs were hitting them every ride, we were ejected out of our seats every time. It's a good, classic coaster. I loved it. -
The original cast of All That. CatDog (Possibly 2000 or 2001? Oh well). Pretty much any of the stuff on Nickelodeon I'm sorry but I know how many people hate him, but I love Spongebob. Something about him amuses me. South Park still rocks of course. I always liked Drawn Together, but I think it got canceled.

Invertigo at CGA is down
okinawaboy11 replied to Sunfire's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I wonder if it suffers from the same problem as Two Face at SFA? Why is it that these Invertigo models have good uptime but when they finally break, its for some extremely unnecessary long time? I was talking to an employee at SFA asking when Two Face would be running again. I joked "If ever?" he laughed and replied "actually not at all this season." -
Any of the Batman clones. Also, Volcano at KD. Its just to dang short. I'll always ride it once every visit but not bother to re-ride. Even if the line is short. IDK Lots of coasters. I found KK, Superman clones, and Medusa all fun the first like 2 times but after that they get boring. One coaster I could re-ride over and over (this might sound weird) is Rebel Yell. I love it! I could re-ride this thing for days. It's just good old fun.

Your Favorite at SFGAdv
okinawaboy11 replied to Rousfv's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So far, Nitro. Kingda ka was loads of fun, but I mean, I could ride Nitro ALL DAY. I have yet to ride El Toro. First time, it was raining all day. Second time, it valleyed during and early morning test. Third time, It got struck by lightning. I'm going next week but my wisdom teeth were pulled yesterday and I don't know if I'll be ok to ride by next Wednesday. Plus the remnants of Tropical Storm Fey could pose threat to rain if they decide to travel up here. -
I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed.

Hey guys I know this thread is kinda dead, but I read the first 4 pages and was too tired to read the rest. Anywho, I didn't really find what I was looking for. So I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday (Monday), and my main question was, how long did y'all wait before you went back to riding coasters. This extraction was kind of unplanned because I woke up Sunday and was in the most pain I had ever been in. I went to the ER and they were like Wow, take those suckers out now. So they scheduled me the next day with an oral surgeon. Came back, got the IV, was on an anesthetic drip. Now, I was told I would fall completely asleep but I never actually did, I would doze on and off and periodically feel them yanking in my mouth. Some parts I could actually feel pain. Continuing on, I told my surgeon that hey, next Wednesday I'm supposed to be going up to SFGAdv to ride some coasters, what would you say? Yay or nay? He said that I could risk dry socket. Since I got to a naval hospital because my dad is in the Navy he said he would wait 2 weeks before sending a pilot back into the air. Now I had to think, pilots pull WAY more G's than any of us do on coasters, so the chances of my blood clots coming undone would be much less on a coaster. ALSO, I'm a heavy smoker and I was told not to smoke untill 7 days after, also so I don't get dry socket. I'm on the patch right now, just so I don't go ape$hit right now, and trust me, come next monday, I'm having my gosh darn cigarette. Ok enough talking, my main question is, after you got your wisdom teeth pulled, how long did you wait before you got back on coasters? Now excuse me if I may while I sit back relax pop some Percocet, 800mg Ibuprofen, and watch season 8 of Will & Grace Thanks mucho guys. -

My little brother used to be terrified of going upside down. I told him FoF at KD didn't go upside down. He had no idea. Right before the launch I looked over at him and was like...Oh yeah, Howie.....it goes upside down. He flipped out, we launched, blah de blah, hit the breaks... LETS DO IT AGAIN! From that day forward he'll ride anything. Cruel? Yes. But hell, it worked. -
Hershey TR 7/19/08
okinawaboy11 replied to Jcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was there today and almost everything was a walk on. Except Great Bear. The operators were all teenagers that were goofing around. At one point, the main op, and another op were chatting away and forgot to move the sliding door for the cubbys, the train unloaded and it was chaos, people were just standing there, with blank stares and then the train started to load and the other passengers couldn't get to the cubbys because that other people were wondering where there stuff was. Fahrenheits ops got a little slow towards closing. Plus people arguing over the front. Saw about 3 yelling matches between the person who assigns seats and the guests...in 30 minutes of waiting. Wildcat was also unusually smooth as well. And as for Comet's line, it moved pretty quick for me. Boardwalk was packed to capacity as usual. Everything had lines. Lines for the Waterworks, lines for slides, lines for tubes for the lines with slides. All I know is Hershey made a good move in building that water park, it really brings in the crowds. -

Yes, the last couple of rows has the B&M shake but nothing too bad. The ride is still incredibly smooth for any of the coasters at KD. Even Volcano is getting pretty bad, and FoF has developed almost a wooden type roughness. The brake run is set on INSTANT stop so be prepared and there are a lot of lights inside now, almost too many. They do have the music on though which they usually have off (or atleast previous visits in 07 they did) But all in all Dominator is still very smooth. -
Just to put this out there. Went to KD on Tuesday and Wednesday and Dominator ops were shooting trains out like no other (10 minute wait max, both days). They were doing great, keeping the line short with 2 train operations. Volcano's staff was unusually fast as well. Most ops were doing good. Rebel Yell's ops were very slow though, very lazy. So do KD on Saturday, hopefully the ops will be nice and fast and keep the lines moving. Go to Volcano first. No matter what day it is, if you get there within the first 30 minutes of the park opening, you don't have to worry about the line. But if you don't there WILL be about 30 minute to an hour wait at least. Especially on a Saturday. It was about 45 minutes both days we went.

Alton Towers Discussion Thread
okinawaboy11 replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Oh I love this idea! I remember back when I went to theme parks with my parents, Tokyo Disney to be more specific, my dad wouldn't put down his god damn Blackberry (Crackberry as we like to call them, you also might be wondering why he had a Blackberry in Japan? It was government issued, it had international roaming). Anywho, I think this is great, my dad spent this money to go into the park, and all he did was text and type away on his PDA. I've since been going with friends and left dad behind because thats all he does. So kudos to Alton Towers. -
Horrible Park Operations
okinawaboy11 replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You would think, of almost all the enthusiasts that despise SFA that they would get enough complaints from the general public to actually do something about these slow operations. Has anyone ever written a letter or an email to them about a bad trip and gotten a response? -
Horrible Park Operations
okinawaboy11 replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
SFA hands down. Long story short. Slow everything. Dispatches, Employees, blah. Oh and I don't know if it's just me but, if a ride op is lolly gagging, I personally will yell at them. Not yell but a, "Uh hello? we're waiting" or a "What are you doing? Hurry up" I have thrown in a "Get off your ass, stop talking and dispatch the train. We don't pay to visit this park to watch you sit on your ass, we pay to come to this park to ride your rides and have fun." To the last remark, on S:ROS 2 employees were sitting on their butts, talking and eating, while the air gates were opened, all passengers had taken their seats, and buckled their seat belts (I know, a BIG accomplishment for the GP). We were all just sitting there giving them blank stares like WTF? It was about a good 3-4 minutes before I spoke up and said something. Of course I just got attitude right back from the employees, but at least I got them up. -
Mine is pretty simple and realistic. A launched woodie. I mean, we have LIM brakes on woodies, why not a LIM launch? Just a thought.
