Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
okinawaboy11 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Intamin's version of the 4D coaster. Has anyone thought that it might be more on the family side? CP Has only had high speed record breaking coasters since 1999 with Woodstock Express. Just a thought. I guess an Aquatrax coaster could be considered a family coaster. -

Yeah, come on Cedar Point, we need some B&M goodness. I'm tired of the complaints of ACErs not fitting into Intamin restraints. -

Well, I guess we have our sit down, inverted, looping, accelerator coaster. Now all we need is the wood and the splash down. -
Last one was The Academy Is... tour with... Panic! At The [FREAKIN!] Disco. To bad they are mainstream now.

Ok, got some good news. I have a japanese exchange student And she says, that the name supposedly means "Take It Easy" which might sound wierd but if you know the japanese and their coasters, they have some WIERD names. Also, on the website for the coaster. After the date flashes by, she said that this ride will break records. I'm guessing its the record for tallest 4th-dimension coaster. -

Today's woodies...

^ Very true. Even the coasters that don't stay open year long, they usually go thru the freezing/thawing stage. They freeze thaw freeze thaw over and over during the winter. Also contributing to the health of the wood. I say, be like SFA retrack the first 2 pieces of wood in each layer of track, they did it for Roar this off-season. And Poof, they usually end up smooth again. Roar, which i've only ridden once this season, ran considerably well with the retracking. -

NEWS: The Quest is over for DisneyQuest WDW
okinawaboy11 replied to Homer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The ESPN Zone in Baltimore REALLY sucks. I still hate ESPN either way, I've been to other ESPN zones, and Baltimores, isn't good. Um yeah, that one closed after about a year. I went twice, the first time it was packed, 6 months later it was empty....on a Saturday afternoon in the middle of winter. Really? Wow, I went about 4 times, each time, it was packed with people. No one ever told me that It closed. I thought it was still open... Well that sucks. -

That would be Millenium Force! -
The incident that I THINK you'r talking about happened in 1998, at SIX FLAGS Great America. Not Paramount. I was acually at the park. No on the coaster (DAMN:P). I Acuallt was too afraid to ride Demon then, I only rode Viper and American Eagle. Anywho, it got stuck in the loop, a wheel came off.

^ Very good point. I have been wondering what they are going to call this bad boy. -
Wow, I didn't know that Top Gun had an open station (As in no Roof). How many coasters do you know that have open stations? None that I can think of.
