  1. ^Sounds just like my love life. (Not laughing at you, by the way)
  2. Depends, we talking minuscule Ben & Jerry's tubs or those super massive Dryers tubs? Speaking of which, why is Dryers called Edy's on the East Coast?
  3. ^^Awesome stuff! Anywho, I need to continue strengthening my resolve to stop posting in the Theme Park Discussion threads. I don't think a single post I've made in there has gone over well.
  4. My parents have now not only run through their bank accounts, but now mine as well. Just...wow.
  5. ^Personally, I think the place needs to go out with a giant fireworks show or rock concert during a workday, as a sort of final "Screw you!" to the neighbors. I'd say that'd be fitting.
  6. ^The following: Eat a tapeworm. Murder the President. Buy a Bugatti and then wreck it. Amputate my head with a spoon. Wear a dress to a fight club. Kiss Ernest Borgnine. Go on TV and tell the world that I had a relationship with Monica Lewinskiy. Join GeaugaLakeToday. And more!
  7. You never know, the 49'ers might actually see some value in that water park...it's not all that big and could easily just be kept open on one side of their brand spanking new giant parking lot!
  8. Yeah, this has been discussed to death already. That event will not have any serious effect on WCB, SFMM wouldn't let that happen considering everything else they're doing to make WCB so amazing this year! *Wonders if I should put this post in bold so that this doesn't crop again...* Also, currently hoping like hell that I can make it this year.
  9. ^There's always going to be hope. This park has meant a great deal to many people for decades, so there's reasoning behind the wishes (no matter how far out there) that some people have regarding CGA. Unfortunately, I've come to resign myself to agreeing with the general consensus here in believing that the park is fast approaching Geauga territory, and that either total rebound or total failure is right on the horizon.
  10. ^Is anyone really shocked?
  11. Woo! Night ERT on Tatsu! I think I just died and went to heaven! Really hope I can make it this year!
  12. I need to make my title "I don't sleep." Seriously, I think I've posted during every hour of the day at least once.
  13. You know, I knew I saw this a few years ago while living in SoCal! Good find! Also, is it just me, or does the quote under the park sign on the reference image that Robb posted seem...rather un-Disneylike?
  14. Adventuredome is 12 miles down the road from here, if that counts for anything. Have you ever visited a Mexican grocery store?
  15. Sure, but I'd imagine that the movies would come in a bit fuzzy. Will we ever know of Sheep-O-Matic's origins?
  16. Burnout 2 Theme Dominator Remix-Stephen Root and Criterion Games This is probably my second favorite song ever, right behind Palm Bay Heights...also from Burnout 2.
  17. Really liking the work you've done so far! However, two things that bothered me: -The waterfall looks really unnatural and out of place. I know this is a WIP, but even with scenery I'm not sure it would fit. -The carousel's queue could use a little sprucing up, perhaps with some queue covers or something to that effect. Keep in mind, now that you're doing CS, there's no "cheating" if you will. If you're going for realistic and meticulously detailed, that's what people are going to expect.
  18. ^^Contrary to my post in the other Vegas thread (which was from a few days ago), also agreed. If a park was a destination, it would have to operate in an area where land values aren't as high. If it was for locals...well, it'd be doing that anyway I suppose.
  19. No. No way. It...it can't be. But it is. Hello Ghostrider.
  20. A few years back, me and my family were staying on property at the Grand Californian, so my parents just let me go to the parks on my own if they were busy and/or asleep. So one night, I was hanging out at Disneyland, when I realized that the park closed in five minutes, and I wanted to get one last ride in on Splash Mountain. I was by the Matterhorn, so needless to say I sprinted for it. I made it in with one minute to spare, and got on the last log of the night. That was only the beginning. Because I ended up alone in my log, I basically just decided to enjoy the ride my way-that being yelling my own version of the songs throughout the ride (most of them far, far more disturbing than the originals), pretending to be asleep, and just sorta enjoying the solitude at some points. At the top of the final drop, I threw my hands up at the top of the drop and yelled "THANK YOU CLEVELAND!" to a crowd of employees who were leaving Pooh and the Hungry Bear, and I got cheers on the way down! I was also one of the last people to leave the park, so I got to experience the walk back to the front virtually alone. Best. Theme park moment. Ever.
  21. The sad thing is, I'm confused myself...and I'm apparently the cause of it.
  22. Oh, are we not allowed to do that? I must have missed a new rules seminar or something. In any event, I actually think that I305's new turn looks pretty neat, definitely a nice compromise for the sake of ride-ability and intensity. Good move on KD and Intamin's part (although I don't really understand why the trim brakes were such a bad option).
  23. Don't forget the tunnel filled with leprechauns, rainbows, and the floating head of Zsa Zsa Gabor. No, no, the Draco animatronic from the Wisconsin State Fair has been relocated, which is responsible for the ring of fire Robb mentioned. I thought that was going to Dorney Park? Oh well, looks like we have another Demon Drop on our hands.
  24. ^Dude. Read that back. Seriously.
