^Absolute truth! Right onto SFDK. "Ok, because this is a SERIOIUS event, we must make a checklist of all important items needed for the day. Me: Check. Camera.... well, duh!....." "....complimentary SFDK parking pass: Check......." ".....directions to SFMW: Check...... wait..... SAAAYYY WHAAAAAAAT?" "....Krispy Kreme for breakfast: Check...." ".....and iFly Indoor Skydiving, just incase boredom or something that causes the dimension to invert makes us to want to do something other than the Tony Hawk Water Challenge: Check. We're all ready to go!" We spent too much time eating doughnuts! We're gonna miss ERT on this sexy, Swiss beast! Indeed, it is VERY sexy! As is this. No LIMs for us today..... Or ever. Also sexy.... but this ride lives up to the song 'You Give Love a Bad Name'. Park Entrance Sign whores rejoice! We got here late and missed the dolphin show. But I took advantage of this time to take a few shots of Medu..... CRAP! WE'RE MISSING ERT!! Only 150 ft tall.... but 150 times better than Scream! IMO. After 2 rides on Medusa (not only did we arrive late for ERT, but I also happened to be in the train that stopped on the final brake section during the little e-stop), 1 on Kong, and... I think 1 on Hammerhead Shark, I got back to taking pics. Yet another Vekoma ride that gives Love a bad name. I really don't get the name for this thing... Scat-A-Bout..... WTF? Wwwwwhhhhhiiiiiirrrrrrr...... pssssstttttt........clunk!.... Some hot looking Boomerang curves. 2 Vekoma trains, 1 shot! SFDK's Skycoaster is one of those weird looking, wide ones. Skycoaster sign. This one is pretty expensive, but thanks to SFMM Fanboy's mom, we got 2 rides for the price of one! This is what happens to you when you eat all 5 large bags of Jelly Flops in 1 night! Wassup, Hanno? "Hello, I'm Mrs. African Elephant!" "I am able to stand on 3 feet with no problem...." "....I have very large toes....." ".....2 teeth......." ".....a long, bendy nose....." ".....and really big ears!" "I am also able to stand ontop of a small stool....." "......lie down VERY gracefully, considering I weight so much...." "....hold lots of sticks with my trunk...." ".....and ride an Intamin Giant Drop! I'm practicing for when CGA gets its own little animal park!" "Phew!...all of these moves are tiring me out... I could use a snack." Guy:"Wow, that thing just walked right in front of me and took a bananna from me! That's nearly as cool as getting stuck on Medusa!" Elephant:"Medusa e-stop>>>>>me eating. Trust me, it gets kinda boring after a while." See 'ya later, ........ uhhhh....... Captain Lee to th rescue? Lucario:"Who are you?" Bumblebee:"That yellow 2009 Camaro from Transformers." Lucario:"Hmmm.... So it seems like SFMM Fanboy has been inspired by Six Flags Enthuseast to bring a sorta 'Not-so-Flat Stanley' to parks, too?' Bumblebee:"Yup." Lucario:"So I guess we're like rivals or something?" Bumblebee:"Let's just shut up and watch the show!" Lucario:"Agreed." Lucario:"All of these people...." "....against this elephant?" "No Vekoma-Brace-Position can prepare all these TPR members for the kick in the a$$ they're about to get!" Bumblebee:"Glad I told you to shut up and watch?" Lucario:"YES!" "Hey Elissa, strike a pose.....SNAP!....Thanks!" Let's all be good sports and make peace with that hecka-strong elephant who just seriously dissed on us all! Ha! Kong just got stuck on the lift hill.... Medusa:1 Kong:0 A better full view of Skycoaster. Skyrate picoaster! Boomerang goes right the heck over the path, allowing you to get good shots like this! And this. 2 Vekoma trains again! Did it just stall there? No it didn't. Don't get your hopes up so easily! The show I missed.=( V2.5 'through the trees'! V2.5, brought to you with limited tree interuption.... ....by Minute Maid! I rate BAB a 6 so far! I had to get my obligatory 'Palm Tree Shot to prove to friends that I was just in California' shot. LIMs ahoy! This was the final shot taken by my camera, as it got caught around a picnic table while I was carrying it and it fell to the ground. R.I.P. Kodak EasyShare: 2004-2010 =( But this still means I can get a new camera that takes WAAAYY better pictures! Once I get a new camera, I'll show off some of the pictures I got at CGA on a disposable camera. Thanks for reading!

Bay Area Bash photo TR attempt-complete
Six Flags Enthuseast replied to fatdaddy's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Great report! Good humor, good pics, and a bunch of credits! What more do you need? Oh yeah, dolphin feeding... -
I'll skip the typical crap I normally say at the beginning explaining my situation and just get right to the photos. EDIT: Since I broke my camera, I'd like to ask anybody if they have suggestions for a new one I should get. Thank you for your feedback. How can you tell if you're in California? Look at the license plates! (and the amount of cars on the road) How's it goin', Buzz? Lots of very interesting clouds floating around the bay that day. Hey, that just rhymed! We just happened to be passing SFDK.... ....because we wanted to check out that Jelly Belly Factory that TPR did last year! Pretty colors! Do you like jelly beans? Then this is probably your place! We liked this shirt, so we bought it. This 'sample fudge' was pretty good. However, the salespeople were really high pressure, so we only got 2 small blocks. Goodbye psycodelic Jelly Belly world! On a sidenote, as the sign on the top right says, they were selling Belly Flops for $30 for 5 bags. They were really big bags, and we're still pigging out on them to this day! Can you tell it was bright that day? Or that I was facing the sun? "Due to the amount of Belly Flops I may be about to consume, it is very well be possible that I will be able to fit onto Medusa tomorrow..... Yay! First official 'in-seat' credit!" Jelly Belly truck credit! 2nd part of update to follow. Thanks for reading!

Photo TR: The complete set of B&M
Six Flags Enthuseast replied to Noxegon's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Great report! I've only ridden a very small number of these. I really wish I was able to get out into the world and ride B&Ms. -
^It is. R&B's FFC is actually less than 1 hour away from my house (when south-Seattle traffic isn't bad). Thank you. I personally don't remember the original bridge taking more than an hour to cross when traffic was bad. But I certainly agree that the new bridge makes things much more effecient. Now to just wait for the tolls to drop a little. $4.00 every crossing adds up over time.

Quick little 'off topic... sorta' thing. Washington has that problem as well. There is no such thing as friendliness towards business, big or small, at all in this state. That's the main reason why that NASCAR track wasn't built when it was proposed a few years ago.... but more on topic with the site, why no big theme parks are here and why none probably will ever arise here. Anyways...... I'm a little surprised, but not that much, as I haven't seen very much progress at all since before West Coast Bash. So for now, I guess the lot will just have to stay dirt for a while...

Liseberg Discussion Thread
Six Flags Enthuseast replied to viking86's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This looks very interesting. Similar to the one at Kings Dominion, but with the newer generation Intamin OTSRs. I personally think that it may make the experience better because those new restraints are a little bit less restrictive and more open than the restraints on the typical Intamin Giant Drop. You can feel the air more and you can have more room to throw up your hands as you fall .... Unless you're one of those people who has to hold on as you fall. In that case, the placement of the grab bars could probably make holding on feel more 'securing', if you don't enjoy the falling (which I do). I'll definitely be on the watch for this amazing looking tower! -
I'm fine with the extra trimming. In fact, by the look of the speed of the first few curves and the OTSRs, I actually think if might make it a little less intense. Then I wouldn't have as much of a chance of greying/blacking out, so I could actually enjoy the whole ride! And I agree with Robb, it really isn't that big of a deal; I305 definitely looks much better than a lot of non-trimmed coasters.

Early Season Mini-Scandi Tour
Six Flags Enthuseast replied to milst1's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Great TR! Once again, all of these great European TRs make me even more exited to be moving to Italy, because I'll be right in the middle of it all! The cool BMWs that aren't sold in the US (the old 1 Series being the coolest of them all, IMO), the rides, the theming, the boobs, the.... well..... everything! Patrick "Boobs, Beemers, Intamins, oh my!" Carnahan -
Here's a video of my mom and me riding Xtreme Skyflyer at CGA, the day of Bay Area Bash.

Photo Trip Report: Pima County Fair
Six Flags Enthuseast replied to JimmyBo's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
The fair itself is comparable to the Puyallup Fair, but that shark tank, as well as the awesome variety of fried foods, makes it WAAAAAAYYYY better! -
Bay Area Bash is in 4 days!

Yes, but look at what Intamin has done for Cedar Point. For the most part, Intamin has made Cedar Point the place it is now. What rides do you think of when you think of Cedar Point? A big chunk of them are probably Intamin. Sure, Cedar Point has to become a bit more varied in order to keep up interest among the enthusiast community. But when you think in the big picture, does the general public care if most of the Point's rides are Intamin? Heck, I'm sure a lot of the general public doesn't even know what Intamin is. Joking aside, the general public (and when you think about, we too) just wants more good rides. And sure, Cedar Point has plenty of awesome rides already. But once again, don't you notice that most of them are Intamins? I completely agree that Cedar Point could use a bit more variety, I'm all for it. But I agree with ^^, Intamin is one of the best companies out there. I don't think they need to back away from Intamin to have variety. Heck, with this ride, instead of another mindblowing Intamin coaster, aren't they already adding a little bit of variety to the place?

Photo TR: Fuji-Q Highland
Six Flags Enthuseast replied to zottewoef81's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
It's cool that this park operated in the winter; as Robb said, I wish more parks did that. What's funny is the 'Fuji-Q on Fire entrance' thing in the snow..... This photo contridicts itself in more ways than one! (Can anyone guess the second reason?) -
Photo TR: Darien Lake Opening Day 2010
Six Flags Enthuseast replied to rollin_n_coastin's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Agreed. To me, Darian Lake has never been a park that seemed to be a good place to stop. I've only seen 2 or 3 of its 'major' rides, and I personally thought those were the only reasons to visit. However, this TR shows that it has a lot of other decent rides; Aside from RoS, Sling Shot, that huge ferris wheel, and Viper, there are a lot of other good attractions. I think I just might want to visit now. -
