I mean sit down or floorless trains on Apocalypse wouldn't be that outrageous of an idea. It seemed like a fairly easily transition for Vortex/Patriot at California's Great America. -

Nice update^ Wow RIP Splash Battle, I can't believe they replaced with a fountain that seems to be surrounded by mini golf turf. -
Not sure I’d consider Knoebels that small of a park. Small market? Yes. But in reality its a decent sized place. Mine would be Lake Compounce or Canobie Lake

^ Not surprised the least bit. For the last decade or so in this country we’ve been bred to be a bunch of cry baby whiners. Zero accountability for something that was more than likely her fault. -

This would be a route I'd like to see them take. It would be cool to see a coaster with similar theming as Baron 1898. -

^ I made my visit in the middle of August last year (peak tourist season) and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge was absolutely swarming with tourism. -

At 75ish for a day ticket.....Yes it is a bit pricey. In this case I didn’t mind paying it because you get the extra half day and the park is nothing but quality. -

As mentioned by others before me, I do not think that Dollywood has the amount of visitors needed for another gated park. On the other hand, I'm curious that if this idea was even feasible what the overall theming of the second park would be. -

^ That looks awesome. I'm happy to see at least a little effort being put into the theming. -

I agree it does look suspended coaster-ish. Maybe a family invert thats highly themed with an indoor element? (Im serious, nothing shocks me anymore) -

Great news, very interesting that it is taking place behind Thunderhead. Looks like theyre trying to bring foot traffic back by that area. -

If it's bolikus approved I might give it a try. I can vouch for this. It is a tremendous ride and I too am not particularly a fan of spinning rides. -

Definitely do the Yuengling Brewery Tour here is a PTR I did a couple years back http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=72115&hilit=Knoebels+Yuengling Larry I loved tbe Bayern Curve when I went to Kennywood. It is crazy intense. The retracking for Phoenix is going to be glorious. Can’t wait to take a spin this summer. -

This, how about some TLC into the back area of the park that is a swamp with no shade in the Maryland summer. Thats the addition im hoping for. -
We have an answer, but you're not going to like it. The park is closing it and replacing it with essentially nothing. You can help them name their new event space though. Gartensburg Castle, NewKastle or Oktoberfest Palaste? Comment with your choice from these 3 (only 1 vote per person)... poll ends Jan. 26 at noon. I'm not joking. Damn that sucks! I rode this ride back when it opened in 04 and loved it. When i rode it again in 2015 although it wasn’t the same it was still a really good, fun ride. Sad to see it go. First Big Bad Wolf and now this, RIP Darkcastle.
