That can definitely be be hub to the new area. They just have to take down that theming to create a new pathway. -

Canyon Blasteer is an awesome little coaster. The positive g’s on the loops kick arse. -
Just got back from he park and let me say that its a trip riding Ntro in 18 degree weather. We stayed for about 2 hours and rode Nitro twice, Justice League, Dark Knight, Green Lantern and Harley Quinn. Batman was closed as well as Joker. We skipped out on Skull and Superman. On another note The Pecan Pie Cider was awesome.

For awhile now I have been planning to get up to Six flags New England for some night spins on Superman and Wicked Cyclone. This Saturday presented the perfect opportunity so I asked Nick if he was in on a trip and he obliged. These plans were made about a week in advance and so it gave me some extra time to plan around it. Friday night before the festival I decided to partake in celebrating my Italian ancestory by attending the San Gennaro festival. As a rare full blooded Italian (50% Abruzzo, 25% Neapolitan and 25% Sicilian) I have partaked in the festival in my younger years but it has been over a decade since my last visit. I have to say the festival has become overbearingly touristy and crowded but at least the food is still on par. So anyway, it was a short trip over the Williamsburg Bridge to the Lower East Side for some Sausage & Pepper, Zeppole and fresh grilled Bracciole. As for Six Flags New England we arrived at 5:15 pm. An were greeted with a nice crowd since it was a beautiful Saturday outside. Lines still were not bad though. We managed to get a ride on Joker, Dark Knight and two rides each on Wicked Cyclone and Superman. Great Adventure’s Joker is much superior to New England’s. The Joker at Great Adventure is way more out of control. Wicked Cyclone and Superman were both unbelievably amazing. These are really two great rides that can compete with any park’s 1-2 punch. Also, Goliath was open...But suprise it broke down 5 minutes from us boarding. Fright Fest also happened to open this night and while the park looked great for the event, you could tell the actors were still working out the kinks in their performances. Lastly leaving the park is an absolute nightmare one lane funneling in an out. We waited 35 minutes to leave the parking lot, unreal. Overall it was a solid trip and we were glad to make it. On to the photos. Little Italy has been reduced to two blocks over the years. I was so ready for this. Look at these crowds. Perfection. Some bracciole on hero with peppers. Empire State. Never enough American Flags. As you can see, its a beautiful night. Stall lyfe. Giant Spider attacking Wicked Cyclone. We’re gonna need a bigger bottle of bug spray. It speaks for itself. 200 mph is powerful stuff. I really like the compact layout of Dark Knight. Corkscrewy. Through the supports. Some Frightfest Theming. Proof that Golith *was* open. Perfectly time cause I know ya’ll like that. Same coaster, different setting. On to the main event. Idk what this was but...Neat. Spooky fog I really liked this shot, peep the blurry train. Purty More fog and spookiness on the way. One more ride on Cyclone before we leave. Idk what this thing was but it was speaking. German Apple Pancakes! Till next time folks. Great breakfast if you ever find yourself in the area.

What do crowds tend to look like Columbus Day weekend? -

Im going off the basis of the Intamins are less durable than the B&M's in cold weather from what we have seen which is why the B&M's have been running during winter events while Intamin's haven't. I remember seeing Intamin's have a minimum degrees requirement to run while B&M's will run in the middle of a Blizzard. -

I agree with that although they will draw the line at Great Bear and never run any of the Intamins in winter weather. -

^ Can they run it, sure. Are they going to go out of their way if they don't have too? No. Hershey's Christmas event pulls in plenty of money and is more family oriented. Unless they are changing their marketing to thrill seekers they won't have to open any of the major steel coasters.
