Great report so far, Carowinds is definitely on my list of "must visit" parks I have yet to get too. Also, sick wooden floors on the bus. Looks like you got some high class crap going on riding to parks in style.

I agree, these are still great rides! I hope they get relocated but Im guessing they won't be. Talk about pandering to one group of patrons. I understand HP is their cash cow but now Universal is just selling their souls.

^ It is a very good rapids ride too, they can defintely send some foot traffic that way.

Well we know a water park expanison is definitely going to take up some of that cleared land. During my visit this year we were saying how a new coastee could certainly take some of that land as well.

And Blizzard River usually doesn't open until 11:30 . . . . . (I actually have ridden it a couple times this season, of course with my water shoes on, as I don't want to walk around with soggy shoes/socks). But yeah, more shade would be nice. Summers in Maryland can get hot at times (but rarely into triple digits) As someone from the south that's use to heat, I was shocked when I visited D.C last summer with the humidity, I always thought the further north you went, the less humid it got, especially in the summer. Come to NYC in mid July.

My hopes for getting to ride it this coming weekend are diminishing more and more... I have a little over 3 weeks before I arrive for them to figure it out.

Damn, that sucks! I had a great time at Canobie last year, hopefully they can give me a reason to go back sooner rather than later.

No unfortunately, the only negative thing about Knoebels.

I haven't ridden a Gerlauster without OTSR yet, but Untamed was fun as was Impulse. Both similar rides, Impulse has the slight edge IMO.

Make sure you pick up some acid on the way down. So a great old dark ride? Can't be anny trippier than Mine of the Lost Souls at Canobie.

I'm intrigued about Garfield since I'm making my maiden voyage out there in a few weeks.

Rode Ka for the first time in a year and a half on Monday. Sat first car row 2, it was fun but my lord is it rough.

I never in the past 15 years recieved any for Nitro, Toro or Joker and the only two times I have ever seen altercations in the park were in the station of Kingda Ka and the queue line. When patrons jump lines it tends to piss other patrons off which in turn leads to these altercations.

Took a trip down to the park yesterday from 5 - closing. I haven't been on Kingda ka in over a year so we took a spin on that. I had no idea they issued line tickets for Ka now. They must have had a really bad incident for this to happen. Also on the queue Nick and I got caught underneath one of the fans spraying water for 20 minutes and by the time we moved we looked like we jumped into a pool lol. Batman was closed, anyone have an idea as to why?
