Yes, Skyrocket already checks off both the launch and Premier departments. A more traditional looper would fit nicely. I can’t see Kennywood investing in a huge B&M or Intamin. I think Vekoma, Mack or Gerstlauer fits the bill perfectly

My guess is that Gwazi will finally meet its maker (a wrecking ball). That is a huge plot of land the park could use for a bunch of new attractions.

I like the idea of a Vekoma terrain looper coming to Kennywood. It was mentioned before, Vekoma could do it at a lower price as well to launch their new product line in the United States. Kennywood is an awesome park, a looper is one thing they lack and this could fill that void perfectly.

I would love to see one of Vekoma’s new coastees here.

Really? I was there too from 11 to 4:30 and was able to ride Batman twice, El Toro, Bizarro and Nitro.

Oh man can we not start with this? Its been a good 4-5 months since this was mentioned. There is absolutely nothing to this perpetual rumor that seems like it will never die. The park could add 4 B&Ms and enthusiasts would still be all "Dinos Alive, guys. GCI woodie all the way!!" Lmao I was literally like “here we go again” when I saw this. This rumour is going on year 5-6 now.

Chris when are you going again? Maybe we’ll run into you like last time. I can’t wait to get my first laps on Cyclone this season. Im in the minority that likes Thunderbolt. Unique layout with intense inversions and some great ejector air on the three hills at the end.

Outstanding! The two car trains look really interesting. It reminds me of a Vekoma version of an Intamin Blitz Coaster.

Great report! That food really looks fantastic. That glazed Pork Belly I wish they would do something with Gwazi already. Its been a really long time for the coaster to just be sitting there dormant.

Same here, My two rides on Joker during my first visit may have been some of the most insane ever.

Phantom's Revenge at night time is a top 5 ride. It is utterly insane in the dark.

They asked me before going on Joker Tuesday, I laughed and said no. My wallet and phone were securely zippered in my pockets.

I didn't think SFA's Mind Eraser was too horrible, actually it is one of the better ones that I have ridden. I rode Nor'Easter before the re-tracking and new trains.....Woof.

Went to the park yesterday. The weather was on and off rain the entire day with overcast. It seemed to me Six Flags wanted no part of this day since it seemed to me they were still understaffed and a lot of the rides were closed. We got two spins each on Joker, Nitro and Bizarro (which was running amazing) as well as a ride on Batman (Best ride Ive ever had on it). El Toro was closed but it was still a fun day. Its good to be back.

Lmao, you gotta love enthusiasts. Ride has been open maybe 180 minutes in late March. Stupidity has no limits my friends.

^ FireChaser is more gentle, but don’t get me wrong it is still an extremely fun ride. I personally enjoy Verbolten more, Im a sucker for the drop over the river.

Having ridden Back Lot Stunt Coaster, Firechaser Express and Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Orlando (All rides that would put in the group of trying to deliver the same experience) I’d rank Verbtolten as better than BLSC and Firechaser but not as good as Mummy.

This, I had the same exact experience with my girlfriend last visit as well. Verbolten was her favorite ride there. I can’t see how you can classify it as weak and boring. I think its a bit more on the forceful side especially for its target audience.

Hopefully that speeds up the line because I really like this parks log flume. Its constant 45+ minute wait is rough though.

All reasons why Im curious to ride it. I’ve always like the SLC layout, now I can actually enjoy it since it would be like getting into a car accident.

I agree with all of this. Im thinking that there could be a major coaster addition within the next 2-4 years.
