  1. Thanks, Scott! Maybe next time I will remedy the situation.
  2. We did not stop at the playground, but they did go through the water play area. It was really nice to cool off! We had a scorcher on Saturday and the kids were burning up so the water was nice!
  3. It's an a$$blaster from Tremors III: Back to Perfection!
  4. Love the updates! Looks like everyone is having a great time!
  5. Just wanted to say that the very first TPR person I met was Big Mike this past Saturday!
  6. There were some things that I didn't get pictures of. All the more reason to go back soon! I was so proud of my girls for conquering their fears and getting on all those rides. Ally really impressed me. We rode the big water slide. If you knew how terrified she was of getting water in her face, you'd be impressed. And I couldn't believe she climbed all those stairs to the top without freaking out! If you don't count the crappy kiddie coaster at the ghetto fair, this Wacky Worm was Ally's first coaster. It was definitely Cammy's first coaster! Relaxing on the antique cars. And letting Danny drive us around. Torture device, er, um, I mean Wild Lightnin'. It doesn't look like it would be that bad, but looks can be deceiving. Check out Danny's expression! Does this correctly convey the feeling you have when you get off Wild Lightnin'? The kids on the frog hopper. The kids in our group took up six of the seven seats! The line for the Cannonball. I loved this coaster! Unfortunately, this is the only picture of it I took. My sister-in-law on the swings. In line for the boat chute. I ended up with the smallest kids in my boat. They were starting to get a little freaked out after ten hours in the pitch black, so we sang "You are my Sunshine." Me and my oldest niece in line for the Ferris wheel. Me and my niece, Holly, on the death trap. And the last thing we rode was the tilt-a-whirl. I didn't get any pictures of our group on it. Even my two little squirts rode it and loved it! Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures with Big Mike on my camera (although he took plenty). But here's what I did get! I really enjoyed meeting you and Scott!
  7. More pictures in just a minute!
  8. We took the kids to Lake Winnie this past Saturday. It was their very first park EVER. It was also mine and my husband's first time at Lake Winnie. We all had a great time! We will definitely go back. The pictures are mostly all of my kids, so forgive me. I hate pictures of myself, and for good reason. If the camera adds ten pounds, I look like I have about five cameras pointed at me. I also finally got to meet Big Mike! And I got to meet BeemerBoy, who called me a wuss for not riding the drop tower. I'm not sure how I feel about that, Scott. But it was great to meet you both! I hope we cross paths again sometime! Ally was so excited to finally be on our way. Cammy was so excited, too. We're here! All smiles in the parking lot. You'd think they were anxious to get inside or something. Waiting in line to get our wristbands we watched this. Heading to the balloons first. Both of the girls were scared on this. By the end of the day they were fearless! Genie. I love these things! Awful death trap, um, Ferris wheel. My niece and I were the only ones who rode it. I think I'm done with Ferris wheels. When we got off of it, the operator said it had gotten off balance (yikes!) and he had a hard time lining the cars up to let people off, and kept trying to go backward. DONE. Kids' parachutes. This is what my girls were most excited about: the elephants. They talked about this every day last week. Ally on the elephants. Danny and Cammy on the elephants. Danny and Cammy flying. Big slide. When we got to the top, Ally started crying. By the time we got to the bottom, she loved it. Giant fish! By the time lunch rolled around, they were so tired and sweaty. Cammy was ready for a nap. She got over that quickly, though! After lunch we made our way around all the kids' rides for the little ones. Ladybugs again. And the kiddie boats. Motorcycles. Motorcycles, again. Cars. I know, witty commentary, huh? Bees. I just can't think of anything clever to say. More bees. The girls on the kiddie swings. Matterhorn. My oldest niece loved this! Wacky Worm.
  9. I have been listening to Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and I love it! Would love for our community theatre to do it one day. And I just found Rock of Ages last week! A musical set to the songs of big hair bands is awesome!! I already know all the words.
  10. Pretty sad and pathetic, huh? At least this not our annual county fair; just a random one passing through town, set up in a shopping center parking lot. We get a lot of those. Now the kids are really looking forward to Lake Winnie this weekend.
  11. I'm a big chicken when it comes to scary/disturbing movies. I try to steer clear of gore. That being said, I haven't seen the majority of the movies listed (or anything on their level). But of the movies I have seen, the one that disturbed me the most was Pet Cemetery. I absolutely will never watch that movie again.
  12. Last week my husband and I took the girls to a small fair in a shopping center in town. It was extremely ghetto. Not really much too it; mostly kiddie rides. The girls had fun, though. We didn't ride very much because we didn't want to buy a lot of tickets, and an unlimited ride pass was pointless with so few rides there. I'll actually have another trip report soon. We're going to Lake Winnie for the first time on Saturday! Kiddie Coaster Ally's first credit. She loved it! Berry-Go-Round. Danny rode it with them. We tried to conserve our tickets, so I didn't ride. Pitiful excuse for a fun house. Even the kids knew it was bad! Scrambler. Neither of the kids wanted to ride it. These cars made a god-awful banging noise as they were going around the circle. We wouldn't let the girls get on them! Inflatable slide. Ally climbed all the way up and panicked. She started crying and freaking out. We finally convinced her to slide, and she loved it. She climbed back up and slid two more times! Ferris Wheel. Again, neither of the girls wanted to ride it. This didn't have a name, so I dubbed it the slow swings. Cammy actually rode the slow swings. She's not a thrill-seeker. Blaze. Fast swings. And finally the slide.
  13. Nice pictures! I am fascinated by abandoned buildings! Love that big red door. I really hope someone salvages that.
  14. My husband and I watched this episode. I thought he was overacting a bit with his reactions. I just didn't buy it as being genuine. But he was entertaining nonetheless, especially interacting with people.
  15. Thanks for the comments, Everyone! The train does give you some views of the rides that you can't get walking around. I took most of my pictures from the train. Are they really getting a new coaster next year?
  16. Thanks! I didn't think it was blue before, but I wasn't sure. The blue isn't bad, but I didn't get the connection. Batman doesn't wear/drive/carry anything blue, does he?
  17. Those were left over from that morning. Chick-Fil-A has the best breakfast!
  18. We went to the drive-in to see Toy Story 3 on Saturday. I agree with the others that said they could have developed the new characters a little better. But other than that I thought it was awesome. Definitely on par with the other two movies. A lot of good laughs. The people at Pixar are brilliant and very original. We will most certainly be adding this to our collection.
  19. Still more... Goliath's helix as seen from Scorcher's station. Train POV! Mine train as seen from the regular train. Ninja from the train. Believe it or not, we rode it twice and didn't die! It didn't even give me a headache. I searched TPR for the "magic seat" before we went. Whoever discovered it is brilliant. First seat of the last car. You won't die! Wheelie from the train. Us on the train! Thomas Town. We didn't get a chance to go in and take pictures. There was "inclement weather" and everything shut down. After the rain stopped, Thomas Town was still closed. Thunder River. A friend of mine used to do the gun fight show and he hadn't seen the area since they redid it after the flood, so I took some pictures for him. New gun fight stage. Mindbender loop from the train. Again, this coaster is really hard to photograph. This is the best I got! Look very closely...there's a Mindbender train through the trees! Log goes up... Log comes down! Goliath and Scorcher. Goliath track. It's everywhere throughout the park. Cyclone from the train. Danny and his new friends. On our way back to the car I wanted to try the zoom on my camera, so we waited for a train to come by. I was happy with how close I could get, especially for a point-and-shoot. I just wish I could've gotten their faces. I wasn't fast enough or at the right angle to get the front view. And finally, check out what the sun did to our parking receipt that was in the window! Anyway, that's all guys! Hope you enjoyed!
  20. More photos... Fiesta Bugs? Why is he dressed like this? Batman track. How long has it been blue? I can't remember if it was blue when I went in 2008. Batmobile. I think they need to update Gotham City. Danny said they should style it more like the comics rather than the movies. Brace yourself for that ending! Mindbender entrance. This is a really hard coaster to photograph. We went back to Superman when we had some dollars to rent a locker. Splash! Marvin the Martian. It was very obviously a girl. Danny kept saying, "Marvin has boobs. Why does Marvin have boobs? Couldn't they have gotten a guy?"
  21. My husband and I went to SFOG last Friday. Crowds were pretty light in the morning, but got heavier as the day progressed. It was miserably hot but we expected as much. This was the first time we'd used a flash pass. In the morning, with the light crowds, we thought we'd wasted our money but in the afternoon when the lines got longer we were so glad we'd gotten it! The pictures are in the order I took them, so coaster pictures are scattered throughout and not grouped by like coaster. Enjoy! View walking toward the entrance. Danny and some Cyclone track. Okay, prepare yourself for a series of Monster Mansion photos. We had not been in it since the refurb. Outside the entrance to the mansion. It's blurry, I know. It was at this point I switched my camera to "sport" mode for moving objects. We couldn't figure these guys out. Are they peeing? I don't get it! Monster frog? She's always been one of my favorites! Stay out of the marsh! Scream Machine going up! Folks about to fly. I don't think I could ever do this! Superman. We didn't ride it at this point in the day because the locker nazi got me and we didn't have any dollars to rent a locker at the time. We did come back later, though. I should have posed inside the phone booth, but I was too mad at the locker nazi. They let two cars stay empty during our turn. And those two cars got bumped and proceed to turn parallel to the oncoming cars and completely blocked the path resulting in a huge pile-up that no one could get past. Balloons. We didn't ride them. Boat, which we didn't ride, either. Riverview Carousel. Closer view of the carousel. We rode the Hanson cars because Danny had never ridden them before. Hanson POV! Mine train from the Hanson cars. Canyon Blaster. Goliath's lift from the station. Standing under Goliath.
  22. My two daughters are going to be in their first musical! They're in the children's chorus of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with our community theatre. They are so excited!
  23. I just voted and GKTW is still in 9th. Also promoting it on facebook as well!
  24. Universal's theming really is awesome! Looks like a fun park!
  25. I think I just threw up a little in my mouth. As for spellings, I hate that I even have to spell Brandy for people. "Brandy" like the beverage. No i, ie, ee, whatever. Y!!
