  1. So i was just curious if anyone on here also loved playing music like myself. I personally play Gutar, Bass, Piano, and mess around with Banjo and Drums. I like writing metal music. It may seem weird to most, but it is fun putting you're guitar in drop C and writing in C-Minor. Here is pictures off all my gear. http://s98.photobucket.com/albums/l269/pacoasterrider/
  2. ^hah, I almost cried when the Vet was torn down in Philly. So many memories. Every time i went to a baseball game there i complained about how crappy it was, or how i had second row seats on the first base side and still managed to be 200ft from the pitcher. Citizens bank park is so nice and i love watching games there, but it just isn't the same. The Vet wasn't a horrible place to watch Football tho, so I can't rant about that too much.
  3. I love Big Bad Wolf. That second drop is a experience that you will not find on many other coasters. Head first at the water then slung on you're side with the watter at you're ear. Great theming too I'd love to ride Tennessee tornado tho, it looks awesome.
  4. S:Ros at SFA is one of my top coasters. I just have to rank Storm Runner higher, and i hear Fahrenheit is even better. I wouldn't pass up Hershey. SFA is alright, if the staff was very nice then it would be much better. It's just asphalt and coasters. I wouldn't pay to go back again, but if you can go for free, go for it! I don't know if you could get a full day out of it tho. You will not be disappointed with Hershey
  5. I got a GREAT idea! How about this trip? 1st stop: Hershey 2nd stop: SFGAvd 3rd stop: SFA 4th stop: KD 5th stop: BGE How does that sound? Sounds really good to me. I'd rather hit Dorney then SFA but you can have a good day at SFA, My only trip there, i was bored and done all the rides by 2pm. I got on Jokers, SROS, and Batwing within 30 mins of the park opening, and by the afternoon Sros was a 2 hr wait, and all the other rides were occasionally breaking down. I would watch out if you want to go to SFA during the day, rides like superman get packed. I'd get there early and head right to Superman, and hit up a front or back seat. But this sounds like a fun trip. Nothing beats flipping over about 100ft off the ground and boom you're flying (batwing). That part is awesome, but the rest of the ride is kinda boring untill the rolls at the end. SRoS is boring through the helixs, but it isn't to bad of a ride. Jokers is cool, when it's open, and Roar is alright. Just be ready for a horriable staff and downtime on rides at SFA. The other parks are all excelent tho, and that's a much better trip then you had planned. If you can get into SFA for free then i'd stop there and just hit the rides and go.
  6. The Staples Center is a pretty nice arena, but it always seems very dark in there. I don't know why, but that has always bugged me for some reason. I have only been to the new Garden once and it wasn't even for a game, it was to take a train into Maine, but from what I saw it seems pretty nice, but I guess I would have to see the rest to have a real accurate judgement. I've never been there but it looks awfully dark in there. You can't see more then the first two rows of the fans. The Wachovia Center is well lit, that's a beautiful place to watch a basketball game.
  7. Hershey is worth going out of the way . I know what you mean with that, but Hershey is the way to go
  8. trust me, it is not worth it. I was bored after about 2 hours. It'd be a great park if it was clean and well staffed. The line for Sros did not move, Batwing took 5 mins to dispatch a train, and jokers jinx breaks down every 20 mins. It's just not up to quality, and the park is falling apart. I think you could go to Hershey instead of SFA, and you will LOVE you're trip much more then going to SFA, i promise
  9. awesome TR, beautiful pictures. I love how the hockey rink wasn't even big enough, it must of been interesting to see. And i am not a NBA fan, but i drool over the classic basketball courts, whether it be NCAA or Pro, and those pictures are awesome, even tho the place was a "dump", it's still beautiful.

  11. i certainly will return with a trip report. no pictures since i'm not going with coaster buffs and just friends who would probably get annoyed by me snapping photos every 5 seconds. I'll be sure to take some notes on the rides tho
  12. what everyone is trying to get at is that you would have a much better time at Hershey then SFA. And why would you drive all the way up to SFNE and then return to Hershey? Thats like 100$ in gas wasted. I dont see why you cant go SFGADV-Hershey-KD-BGE. Roar is mediocre, you can ride a JJ Clone that's better and well maintaned at KD, Batwing is meh, no thrill really, you'll have much more fun on Superman Ultimate Flight at SFGADV, and SROS is awful compared to Nitro and Apollo's Chariot. Wild One is the only respectable ride at SFA, and it's only that way if you're a fan of the old out and back rides. Plus you might get stabbed at SFA, so it's really not worth going
  13. just took a print screen picture of it for you're enjoyment and disclaimer; the folder in the top left is only covered when i have the dock open, and it's a jpeg image so it's not as clear or as high of quality as the desktop is in real life
  14. there new stuff is awful. I really liked the Page Avenue album. I just can not get into their new stuff on the last two albums at all. I thought the last one was bad, but this new one they put out got even worse.
  15. 4/5 of my friends have said that it's better. The other said that they are even. I'll let you guys know later this week which is better in my opinion . I also have Storm Runner as my favorite steel ride, but again it is over in 20 seconds, but again that's the best 20 seconds of you're life. We'll just wait and see how this stacks up. I've also heard Stormie has a case of the Intamin rattle this year, which will suck if that's true.
  16. Phillies Eagles Flyers Sixers NCAA FB - Penn State NCAA BB - Villinova
  17. I'm speechless, that's amazing! Major props, I'd love to have that hanging in my living room some day
  18. Here is what i think you're best experience would be (and i live right there) Six Flags Great Adventure Dorney Park or Hershey Park or even better, BOTH! then Kings Dominion Busch Gardens Europe. It's about 1.5 hours from SFGADV to Dorney, and about 1.25 hours from Dorney to Hershey. Then it's about 5-6 hours (traffic pending) to KD and another hour from KD to BGE. That's what id do personally. I think you could squeeze all five parks in no problem. If you are only looking for coasters dorney isn't more then a half a day's stay. Knoebels is i think too far out of the way, they have two world class woodies, but i would wait for flying turns to open up and hit it up on another east coast tour. Word is Fahrenheit is much better then Storm Runner, and possibly the best Intamin out there (i've heard it from major coaster buffs) and i haven't heard much argument against it being the best Intamin that goes upside down (as in second to SROS at SFNE). SFNE would be way to far out of you're way tho. I would not drive that far for the park unless you are already in the area. Actually, here is my real question. Do you like Steel Coasters or Wood Coasters better? I'd have a much better plan for you if you were a wood buff. If you like wood i would say go SFGADV-Knoebels-Hershey-Lakemont Park-Waldameer-Cedar Point-Kings Island. That's a pretty nice looking row of parks, and you could always skip lakemont and waldameer if you aren't as interested in those two.
  19. I have had 3 different friends hit up hershey this week, they all have told me that the ride has a decent amount of downtime, but it's not extended, and the ride is only closed for maybe 15-20 mins. They all also agree that it is the best ride in the park, and a better coaster then Storm Runner. I'm going Wednesday, I'm pumped!!!
  20. i personally think kings dominion and BGE is you're best choice. SFA and SFNE both are not as good of parks as KD. Out of those two i'd pick SFA, and it's only a 3 hr drive from SFA to BGE.
  21. Ha, I love getting in line and saying stupid stuff out-loud. The good old "Did you see the video of the accident on this ride, i'm surprised they opened it back up." here's some that i can remember "I Love Storm Runners side loops" "I heard Comet sinks in the lake I mean, how do they keep the wood from not sinking in the mud" riding on storm runner, kid starts freaking out "Dude, OMG, If the ride doesn't make it over the hill we're going to go flying back into the station and crash, then he starts shouting some foul words" I've alsoheard tons of stuff on the fascinating inverted coasters. and my favorite HersheyPark Quote: Wow, Wildcat was smoother then this ride (guy leaving Lightning Racer)
  22. Then i don't see a point at all for them to release this unless they are actually building one or one is planned for a park as we speak. Only thing i can get out of it is some company taking the idea, tweaking it just a little and making it their own. Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to keep the idea a secret until you announce you're building one at a park? Makes more seance to me
  23. ^haiderodes you have a good point, but i personally believe a company like S&S needs to prove themselves as a great roller coaster manufacture before they go out and try to make 20 different styles. I personally have not ridden a single S&S ride that I got off of and was like "Wow, I loved that." I believe as a business they are in no position to do what there doing with all these new designs. It has to hurt them financially. I wish they would just take the X 4d design and perfect it, make the trains and track smoother and maybe expand on that a little instead of coming out with all new designs. Just think how many new track styles or designs Intamin and B&M have came up with in the last say 5 years, as compared to S&S. Now look at which companies have made the best rides in the last 5 years. All ideas came up through Intamin and B&M have been well researched and well thought through, Launched Coasters, Flying Coasters, and Dive Machines. They haven't came up with bad concepts as S&S has.
  24. I really just yawned watching that video. The ride doesn't look like it'd be worth going through all the trouble to design, and another S&S Fail like said abouve. And when that thing gets rough like every other S&S, owch.
