Id be pretty disappoint if its a top spin. I mean Im all for a new flat but unless they put some kind of "new spin" (no pun intended) on the top spin, Id really rather see something "newer" or at least more unique. Plus Im not a big fan of top spins in the first place lol.

Based on those "Higher, Faster" comments my first guess would have been an Intimidator-style Intamin or B&M but they just got Behemoth like 2 years ago so why would they get another hyper/giga so soon?

Can anyone please give me an idea how crowded it will be on June 8th (a Tuesday)? Ive never gone this early in the year, I usually go like the last week of August when pretty much everything except the "major" coasters is a walk-on…I know it’s not supposed to be too crowded early on in the season but I didn’t know if a weekday in early June is early enough to miss the huge crowds…

I do think they should move away from Intamin, but far more from a variety standpoint than an "Intamin has problems" standpoint....

Holy crap at this rate I wouldn't be surprised to see a soft opening by the end of May...they don't need that long to test do they, only like 2 weeks right? They'll almost certainly be 100% done with circuit construction by the end of next week...

Were just getting a coaster now at Kennywood but I would LOVE to see a custom terrain Mega-Lite put in the ravine behind the Racer a few years down the road

As long as Sky Rocket doesn't open on opening day Im fine with it. Normally I wouldn't say that but this is going to be the first opening day I can't go to because my AP Bio test is scheduled that morning...and I want to be there for the grand opening of Sky Rocket so Id be a little mad if they opened it while I was taking that test

If the first drop and turn are that intense already, how insane would it be if the lift DIDN'T slow down?

Ya, I see where some of you are coming from if you're talking about the zero car as a whole and saying 305's looks better because it "flows" with the rest of the train and isn't just sticking out there like the one at Carowinds, but if you're merely talking about the stickers and saying the stickers look better on 305's I really see NO difference whatsoever between the two, they are equally as good/bad...

That's not bad news at all to me, I was gonna be pissed if it had a "cliffhanger-reverse-chain-pause" brake thing, that works on B&M Dive Machines but I think it would be pretty lame on this, not just because of the lack of height but also I think it would be really stupid to launch only to come to a complete stop at the top of the hill...

(no offense to anyone) but the advertisement on the GASM trains certainly doesn't help the case of New Jersians who claim that New Jersey isn't anything like what you see on Jersey Shore lol

First of all, I just want to say that although I would have much preferred those shoulder straps, I really don't think these will ruin the ride experience or anything, Maverick (despite that I find the restraint rather annoying) is still one of my favorite coasters. But for the record, Intamin has been using these "new" restraints since at least Fahrenheit (see for Farhenheit's OTSR) and I really didn't notice any improvement over the Storm Runner/Maverick "thicker" restraints. Again, Im not trying to say "OMG THIS RIDE WILL SUCK NOW" or anything but to those of you who seem to think these will be significantly better than Maverick's restraints, you might want to lower your expectations a bit.

I am going to the Pens-Sabres game on Tuesday, first Pens game back from the Olympics. I am a Pens fan, but for the first time when Sidney Crosby steps on the ice, I will boo him. I am actually that mad.

As long as its the straps and not the Maverick-esque OTSRs I dont think it should make much of a difference. Ive never ridden a coaster with those straps but they dont look like you should really even be able to feel that theyre there...
