  1. ^^I think 2 years in a row they used the Kong building as a haunt, the one year it was a big foam party that you had to work your way to thru all the scaracters and stuff. Earthquake was also used another year where you actually rode Earthquake and it dropped you off elsewhere where you experienced the survivors of the earthquake. Mainly everything else was all in the adjoining soundstages, behind Beetlejuice, behind Nick Studios, etc. They also had cool scare zones between ET and T2, and all of Amity (home of the Lake from nowhere!). I'll agree that I always liked it better just at the Studios, it made for more of a complete day. Do IOA during the day, haul over to the Studios so you're there for the extra hour. Maybe a Sunday would work, I may end up getting a cold on a Monday this October
  2. ^Thanks for the info, we'll keep that in mind when we're out there over Labor Day. It shouldn't take me too long to attack the coasters in and around San Diego, leaving plenty of time for beer!
  3. Inspired by Heath finally updating his California BACT Attack, I've decided to drink nothing but California Shorties tonight. First up, the Pyramid Amber Weizen. Good stuff, nice flavor Its unfiltered, and its amber
  4. Wow, thousands of obnoxious high school grads who now think the world owes them something all in 1 place for an evening. Seeing those pictures makes me glad I opted to not go to our grad night down at WDW and hung out at Downtown Disney instead. Thanks for sharing the pictures and report, Jahan. You made lots of us realize exactly why we hated high school so much and exactly why we were all so glad to get out.
  5. I wasn't planning on going down this year (lack of vacation days and the luck of always bringing hurricanes to attack me), but if the theme is really cool, I just may have to do it for a weekend. I just hope the Express Passes aren't too much money!
  6. Sweet, looks like you guys had fun. Now you're the expert on SeaBreeze so you get to pop my cherry there later this year. Paul, you can come too. Figured I'd tell you now so you can get a move on, you pokey Canadian!
  7. Sorry, you'd be wrong. Turns out it was none other than Crazy Jake's middle finger up in the air. Stupid carbonation and my stomach don't mix. Burped up stuff on Saturday, and I've been burping ever since, for no good reason! I feel like Bender that time he made his own beer in his stomach.
  8. "You want it all"- Silvertide
  9. ^Sweet dude! You'll need to let us know how it is once you finally pop the top. I didn't see any Weiss Ass stuff at Shangy's, hopefully that'll change soon! I hope you've got lemons!
  10. Steel Force, backseat on Saturday. and no one got injured
  11. "The Dolphin's Cry"- Live
  12. 1. Travel with other friends to help cut down the costs. 2. Buy Season Passes if you're planning on going to more than 1 park in the same chain 3. Look for airfare deals, etc.
  13. Yes, have fun everyone who is going on the trip! Any guys trying to get a certain 2 credits will get a severe @ss kicking when I see you! Wait, the site is going to be DOWN the entire time you guys are away!? Are you serious!?! In that case, maybe I should just go with on the trip.
  14. If a SOB catches on fire, and everyone is around to watch it, is the only sounds heard clapping and cheering? Note to self: get bigger magnifying glass for the next time I'm up in the Eiffel Tower.
  15. Sunday we did some new breweries in nearby New Hope and Lambertville. I took it a bit easy, but the beer wasn't really that amazing to begin with. and Tom enjoys the Tripple, since they ran out of the Summer Blonde Heath doublefists the Belgian Frostbite and we got to just walk around the whole brewery You've gotta pay $1 to sample, but you get 4 of them, and generous portions. I enjoy the Hop Hazard IPA Then it was over to River Horse for some sampling The Hefeweizen was the best thing there I went and got the sampler, but only found 2 that I really cared for, the Hefe and the Honey Wheat Heath went with the Bengal Gold IPA, which had a really weird hop taste to it At Triumph, Tom had a Honey Wheat, an award winner. It wasn't too too bad
  16. Saturday, from what I can remember: and then passed out But I turned into a lush Heath enjoyed his first tasting of Lindemann's Lambic Framboise Hoegaarten was on tap for the summer At Tom's (!*) we opened up the growler of Du Claw Serum *yes, I was shocked to see Tom alive and well too! and Heath enjoyed a Chain Link Pilsner I had a Black Forest Wheat Heath then went with the Cranberry Imperial Lambic And Heath enjoyed a Rockwell Red Ale At BrewWorks I had a Maibock And then went with the Rogue's Dead Guy Ale I start out with a Stone Arrogant Bastard At Which Brew, Heath has a Wailing Wench from Middle Ages Heath likes the new Hops Infusion Tasting the eyedropper sample of Double Simcoe at Weyerbacher
  17. Well, hopefully this comes true. With this news, I think I'm going to put my Oklahoma trip on hold for a few more years...
  18. Since we were in the area, we decided to check up on Tom. Not having seen him for quite a while, I was worried he died or something. But we're not really good brewers, or patient, so we just went back to the bar for more beer We found the good stuff! The bottling machine. Too bad there weren't bottles going thru, nor did we have any gloves 4 samplings for $1 and a free self guided tour Finally we headed across the bridge to River Horse in Jersey And a cool looking bar. Too bad the beer wasn't that good Very posh place And a balsamic chicken sandwich! I had the beer sampler Cool location in an old train station The next afternoon we headed to New Hope to check out Triumph Brewing And then I fell asleep and off my barstool Even Crazy Jake showed up! But I may have had a little too much to drink Still great stuff on tap Lots of good times down there Turns out he was just hiding out down at his bar (or just got back from Hawaii)
  19. After Dorney we hit several breweries and brewpubs in the area to kill some time. And I got a not yet dead filet mignon cheese steak Heath tried the new lobster salad sandwich One of the coolest things (besides good food and great beer) is in the bathroom Crantastic! Heath had a pimp goblet of Imperial Lambic. How was it? Then it was onward to Bethlehem Brew Works to visit my mug And I had cinnamon Kim went with mint chocolate chip Then we headed into Bethlehem. First stop, Heavenly Hedgehog for some ice cream. Heath had Strawberry Chocolate Chip Turns out Shangy's really was the authority on beer Whoa! I didn't know Jeff Johnson had his own beer! And Russian coaster beer They've even got some Belgians Victory is ours! And Three Floyds Nice selection of Avery goods And beer to the right Beer to the left This is what I'm hoping the afterlife is like Heath kinda looks like a local hanging out here. This ain't the Quik Stop dude, buy something! Next we stopped at Shangy's to see if they were really the beer authority Too bad Carrabbas wasn't opened yet And we drank some beers too! Of course, we all went for the spent grain pizza And we shared the beer soaked fries served with a Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot barleywine mayonnaise I had the gazpacho Any place with this logo is fine by me Next was a stop at Weyerbacher's sister restaurant on the other side of town. And then we bought an assorted case We went to sample some of their new stuff, like the Double Simcoe IPA First up, Weyerbacher in Easton
  20. Continuing with riding every week of the season, this week I originally has set aside for going to SFGAd. Of course, with El Toro still not opened, I decided to not even bother and decided Dorney would be a good alternative. I hadn't used my pass yet this year and it doesn't look like I'll get back there for quite some time. Fellow BACT members Heath and Kim decided to come along. Once we were done with Dorney (in 2 hours) we decided to do some breweries in the area. The day started off with rain, but it ended shortly after getting to the park. It wasn't exactly warm though, so the waterpark wasn't busy yet. Basically we rode the coasters each once and then left. Ooooh, finally Talon patches surface at the park Talon: The Grip of Beer This puzzle is Derek Approved Sadly, Laser was closed. Probably because it has too many vertical loops and has forces We managed to survive Steel Force, I guess there were no Valleyfair maintenance workers in the park today Kim and Heath practice their Heathfaces for later while I work on my confused Derek Of course, we HAD to jeopardize our lives and ride in the back car Notice how the back car is still on the track Another exclusive shot This marks Thunderhawk as a classic ride, therefore expect Cedar Fair to take it out fairly soon and replace it with some trash cans and cement So here's the new for 2006 Subway that required knocking down the oldest building in Dorney Park. Cedar Fair, masters of removing heritage, charm, and uniqueness and replacing it with concrete, trash cans, and genericness Forceless snapless cobra roll What every coaster needs, a JoJo roll. Can you imagine how awesome Voyage would have been if it had a JoJo roll instead of 3 90 degree turns!? Only a year old and it still has no line. The curse of Hercules lives on Exclusive shot Hydra: The Nap Formerly the Red Garter Saloon, now its some sports bar Some people were still not wet enough so they went on the water rides Dorney was doing something really stupid and not letting people ride in the front row during the rain. Quite odd Hooray for rain! First coaster of the day was Talon. Still pretty forceless, but check out that loop baby! So here's Dorney. Not too crowded yet, just like 1 row of cars and like 12 buses in the parking lot
  21. ^Yeah, that's a pretty good ranking there. How, it just occured to me how Florida may be really hot, giant bug ridden, swampy, and hurricane fodder, but its also got some really great coasters! Guess its true, you don't know what you've got until its gone. Great, now I have an urge to listen to Cinderella...stupid polls.
  22. "Ridin'"-Chamillionaire
  23. Tonights Imperial IPA calls for a different kind of PTR: Dogfish Head: best experienced with a DFH opener in a DFH glass Ahhh, the perfect pour Whats up with this? Does this make you horny? (it shouldn't!) Behold! The belt buckle of beer goodness! Somehow this cap must be removed, but exactly how? This as you may recognize is a Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA
  24. Its another IPA night for me! Starting off with one I haven't had in a while, the Smuttynose Brewing Company's IPA. Cold and bitter, just the way I like my beer (on Fridays) It took a LOT of effort to get this into the glass, as it was pretty much frozen from its 2 hours in the freezer
  25. "Between Angels and Insects"- Papa Roach
