  1. ^You'll be waiting a while for Falkon, we didn't go there on the add-on. But we did go to Thundercoaster, and it was great!
  2. Sushi rocks! I could so eat some right now! But here's what I ended up doing today, with some down time in London. Miss you, baby! Since I'm running out of room in my luggage, and Nicole is gone ='(, I guess I'll drink her Bacardi But hey, you do what you gotta for Pride At the hotel, I realized my belt buckle bottle opener was left in my other luggage in storage. I had to resort to this Now this is a good early lunch! I love how the pubs here serve all the stuff in the authentic glasses I believe I'll have a London Pride, hand pumped 11am, lets hit the pub!
  3. Since Knoebels is one of my favorite parks ANYWHERE in the world, I'm going to say its probably my favorite in PA. Now if only I had time to actually go there this year!
  4. Yeah, a few of us are still hanging on over in England, but its definitely a different type of mood now that the group trip is over. I miss the back of the bus crew, especially one person in particular
  5. No drinking on Monday because we were too busy in Norway, but Tuesday I woke up to a dream, a dream called Liseberg! No beer, but we enjoyed some vodka drinks...served in a glass made of ice, of course! Nicole and I enjoyed the ice sofa and table Everything was made of ice, the walls, the bar, the tables. This even had functioning shelves and a coaster-like ice slide This is why its called an ice bar, its made of ice. Good thing for those jackets! Even Robb had to check it out, complete with Liseberg winter jacket Liseberg also had an Ice bar opened for the summer, awesome! And I got some Balder to take home too! I woke up excited to ride Balder. I didn't know I'd have to drink FREE beer inside of Balder before being allowed to ride! Carlsberg Export, hello!
  6. Then on Sunday at Thorpe Park, we all managed to ride everything fast thanks to the express passes, so we had some time to relax. Fortunately, the park had a bar! We all enjoy the break from the heat Non-German Tom treated us to drinks. I got the John Smith's Extra Smooth. I must be getting used to not so bitter bitter beer The big dome contains a bar!
  7. Earlier in the day, Nicole found some Absinthe at a grocery store we stopped at, so of course she had to pick some up. After the cafe for dinner, it was back to the hotel for some Absinthe. Really was disgusting, but perhaps that's because we were ill-equipped for proper drinking. EVeryone enjoyed the little party though Ted tried to make it better with fire, but he was unsuccessful We didn't get too wasted, but we were happy It kinda tasted like bad nyquil And then pour some ice water over the sugar packets we had in the room I pour the green stuff into the bathroom glasses Yup, its real Absinthe Our lovely model with the green fairy
  8. Its great to see Wally back posting what he drinks. Its been a while since I've posted, but we were busy country hopping for coaster credits. Back on Saturday, Nicole and I broke off from the group to try another restaurant for dinner. Watched some World Cup action and drank. Then the fun really began! And it went well with our hidden Mickey nachos It was pretty good stuff, for English Had a Boddingtons finally
  9. From our last night in Blackpool I wanted to finally finish off all the stuff I had with me. Loads of drinking that night! Even Nicole drank some, and she don't do beer It was smooth and decent to drink Badger's Tasty Foot was really odd Marston's Pedigree was pretty tasty Discovery wasn't too bad either Fuller's Organic Honey Dew wasn't too bad Tastes like spitting fire alright! Spitfire, some weird beer
  10. More English stuff from last night after the posting: The London Pride wasn't too bad, probably the best thing I've had here so far. Errrr, it tasted just like the Fullers IPA, also not very hoppy. Is it time to go home and have a HopDevil yet? Next up, Fuller's Chiswick Bitter, supposedly very hoppy according to the label First up, Old Speckled Hen, which tasted pretty much like it sounds!
  11. More bottled goodness enjoyed in hotel rooms the last couple of evenings. While I tried the Fuller's IPA. This one was sort of smokey, but not hoppy. More like a nut brown than an IPA James enjoys some of my London Pride, while Tommy eyes his crackers It ain't beer, but its cold, and its free As a welcome to Big Blue gift, we got free wine with our dinner reception The other night I tried the Duchar's IPA. Again, not that great.
  12. On one of the first nights, we hit a pub down the street. And when in Britain, you've gotta have a Guiness on tap, this time Extra Cold! Still, not very hoppy. British versions of bitters are in no way SoCal Hand pumped Greene King IPA
  13. I stopped off at a grocery store and picked up some goods for the trip that I may enjoy. Sadly, a lot of the time I had neither time nor cooling conditions to get my beer to the temperature that I like it. Its been a bit rough so far... Not too bad of a taste though. Certainly not a great IPA though, very little hops Smells like skunk! Luckily I packed my belt buckle! But crap, I left my bottle opener with my keys....back in America! Our lovely model shows off one of the IPAs I picked up, Marston's Old Empire IPA
  14. Glad to see everyone is doing well and still drinking in spite of me not posting. Its not that I haven't been drinking, its that I decided paying for Internet or 3 beers, I'll choose the beers! Here's a little rundown of what I've done so far: Ted enjoyed some Hoegaarden too, but he stank at the Derek Self Portraint stylings Just chilling in the lounge were some other TPRers Even Nicole drank, though she went with cranBARRY and Vodka And it was tasty! At the Holiday Inn by the Airport, it was time for the BACT UK Attack. Hoegaarden on tap, served in the glass, Tom would be pleased
  15. What? You didn't think that just because I was flying to the UK that I would either not drink tonight or keep my faithful followers in suspense, did you? Tonight found me at the Philly Airport and therefore a quick stop at Independence Brew Pub, between B and C terminals. followed by a Yard's Saison. good stuff before I go to "the Land of Warm Beer" later all! first choice will be the Hop Hog IPA look at the selection on tap tonight! Well worth the walk from A west to B-C
  16. Well of course! The carry-on cooler will be coming with to bring home some goodies. San Diego, host city of the September BACT Attack
  17. Best Toboggan ever! I liked my ride on it last year that the car I was in wouldn't engage the lift with my massive 125lbs in the car. Sent it on its way after I rolled back twice, then stuck me in the next car, which actually would engage the lift.
  18. I've never been to that video store. I feel like I shouldn't post here anymore
  19. ^Yes, I don't really care for the whole idea at IOA because you can only do so many different things with the existing theme. Mutant dinos, supervillian takeover, wacky cartoon, lost animals, etc. And then they always end up using the sound stages anyway, and the walk to it from the park is unthemed, go figure.
  20. Sounds like some good quality TV for me to watch at night. Hopefully the hotels are equipped with cable!
  21. "Beverly Hills"- Weezer
  22. Yeah, there's a LOT of brew places to hit in the SoCal area. The big ones we want to hit are Stone, AleSmith, and the Pizza Ports. I know there's a bunch of other stuff too, probably won't have time to do them all, but we'll try!
  23. ^Nope, good old fashioned flywheel just like Schwarzkopf used to make. Looks like a fun AND comfortable ride. Hopefully there'll be some of these popping up soon.
  24. To finish off the night of California Shorties, one of my favorites, another Pyramid. And with that, I'm off to the UK! Next update, from a London Pub! Good stuff, but it tastes a little off, I think its been sitting at Shangy's a little too long...2 months past the Enjoy By date Das es Thunderhead!
  25. Next brew, The Lost Coast IPA, Indica. Eh, its ok. Nice citrus taste at first mixed with some alcohol taste. Kinda watery finish though Unfiltered IPA with controversial label
