  1. Sounds good, I'll be done with grad school.
  2. Agreed. It ran well this season, for the first time in about 25 years.
  3. I completely forget about the possibility of this park, but it looks like Merlin is ready to break ground shortly. Legoland Korea Gangwon Province Korea's Legoland to open in 2016 The popular chain of Legoland theme parks spans across five countries and six cities from the United Kingdom to Malaysia. Each international park is filled with rides and attractions made from more than 50 million Lego blocks. Korea has now been chosen to be the first country in East Asia to host a Lego-themed amusement park. Legoland Korea will be built on Jungdo Island in the city of Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. The 1.3 million square-meter park is expected to cost about 470 million U.S. dollars, with the British theme park company Merlin Entertainments agreeing to chip in 94 million dollars to fund the project. "It sits in the middle of this beautiful body of water, surrounded by mountains and clean fresh air. It's ultimately beautiful. It's one of, if not the most beautiful Legoland park that we have." However, the local city government and civic groups say the current contract to establish the theme park is unfair and poses considerable financial risks. Under the agreed terms, Gangwon Province would be leasing the park's land to Merlin free of charge over the next century, while covering the construction costs for bridges and other infrastructure. "It won't become a large-scale investment. Since the Merlin firm is making a direct investment, our government will also come up with measures to attract foreign investment." Construction for Legoland Korea is set to begin next month with an opening scheduled for mid-2016 Once completed, the theme park is expected to bring in up to 2 million tourists per year. 4. Someone find Barry Hom, it looks like there is a paddle wheel from the Lady Gay listed on Page 2 of the photos.
  5. Those pants You misspelled the word breasts.
  6. The dark ride is more intriguing to me than if the park had chosen to add another similar 300ft coaster.
  7. And there's a shooting element to it, also? That's a lot to roll into one attraction, sounds like fun. Interested to see the full description.
  8. I wouldn't say very SF as SFGAdv has done an incredible job of maintaining thier restrooms for the past 8-9 years. 95% percent of the time there is an attendant doing real work.
  9. I might try this place one today. I usually head in the other directions towards Route 9 and have stopped to meet friends at Escondido's in Freehold for food and drinks. https://www.facebook.com/EscondidoNJ
  10. I'm still wondering if the Winter Olympics will survive being hosted in a city known as a warm weather destination. Yes, I realize many events will be held in the surroundings moutainous region, but I still expect there to be huge problems.
  11. I'm hoping to ride some of the RMC creations in 2014. Unfortunately, my first year without a TPR Tour since they have started.
  12. ^I'm just surprised that SFGAdv didn't try this, also.
  13. I'm a slow reader also, so I was expecting to hate the video version, but really enjoyed it. I think only two captions were too lengthy to read the first go around.

  16. On Facebook, Oakwood has announced that this quirky dark ride has only a few days remaining and "something new and exciting" will be replacing this attraction.
  17. I received an e-mail from the park today. They have extended their season to include this weekend. Hmmm, I might be able to make it.
  18. It's been mentioned specifically by a few people.
  19. ^and getting into a bidding war that brings economic chaos upon your company is a bad decision.
  20. The latest news on an old project. http://www.kentonline.co.uk/thanet_extra/news/dream-come-true-as-gates-8070 Dreamland theme park in Margate to reopen on November 16 for the first time since 2006 by Mary Louis People of Thanet, the time has come to take back Dreamland as the gates reopen on November 16. This message comes from The Dreamland Trust which is opening the park gates to the public for the first time since 2006. The day will be followed by a glitzy high profile celebrity auction and champagne reception in the old Dreamland cinema. It is a huge and exciting step forward in the amusement park’s high profile regeneration. The trust say it is an opportunity for the people of Thanet to take back their park and to be part of its return. It is the first time the general public have been allowed on site since the park closed to the public in 2006. During the summer, the trust has been in discussion with potential park operating companies and park managers. A final short list of candidates has been drawn up and an appointment will be made by the end of 2013. The trust will shortly be releasing briefs to tender for concessions and leases for the park’s cafes, restaurants, retail units, kiosks and sideshows. Jan Leandro, heritage and engagement manager of The Dreamland Trust, said: “For many generations Dreamland thrilled and delighted visitors to Margate and sustained her community. “This community campaigned hard for a number of years to save the park from redevelopment and it will be this community spirit and support that will again help reinstate Dreamland as a world-class visitor attraction.” Visitors on the day can sign up to The Big Clear – an event with a date to be announced for volunteers, supporters and partners to and tackle weeds and rubbish on site
  21. In my opinion time passed him by and he was close minded regarding ideas that could grow the company. i.e.: reluctance to implement a skip the line system. Horrible business decision regarding to the price Cedar Fair paid for the Paramount Parks. He was in favor of just giving up on the company (selling to Apollo Group) when Cedar Fair was so close to turning the business around. Many people think he treated the Cleveland market unfairly with Geauga Lake. Personally, I had no problem with him favoring Cedar Point since it is clearly the flagship park of the chain, but others did not like that attitude.
  22. The stock was at $6 during parts of 2009 and 2010 when Dick Kinzel had his head up his arse and Apollo Group wanted to steal the company through a very undervalued buyout.
