Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

2 out of the 3 webcams are out. The main midway cam is working. Looks like they may have partial power in the front of the park, as the water splash area is working(along with the webcam). None of the coasters or food stands are open. -

Looking forward to riding all of the new attractions. What even makes it better, is that I live right down the street from this place. -

Looks like the park is adding 3 new atteactions! They are adding a spinning coaster and a 130 foot tall drop tower/saddle sling combo tower. Only official info is on Facebook. -

I feel like you need some reassurance here so I wanted to comment on this one. It's not physically possible to screw up your itinerary so much that you spend a homeless night in Sandusky. There is never ever EVER going to be a time in Sandusky where you find yourself with any less than (slight exaggeration) 8 million different hotels with rooms available on any given night. Trust us, we pretty much exclusively go to Cedar Point on holiday weekends and we're pros at reserving hotels on the fly. You'll be fine. There are a million different lodging options in Sandusky. If I walked off of a train in Sandusky at midnight with absolutely nothing booked on the busiest day of the year I would have zero concerns whatsoever that I'd be able to book something and be in a hotel room within 30 minutes (with tons and tons of options to choose from). The exception to that may be bike week. -

I am beyond happy about this announcement! This just gives our family another ride option at the park. I think that lately, parks have put family type attractions on the back burner for the big coaster installations. I always thought if this ride were to return, that it would occupy the old paramount star walk(or whatever it was called) next to the Eiffel tower. It will be interesting to see how they weave it around the racer. -
Yea...the restaurants produced a painful ride. Enough pain to only ride it once with only a 2 train wait. I'm all for safety but when you come off the ride with bruises on your legs and dreading every airtime hill because of the restraint digging into you, it loses a lot of points in my book. I wonder why they felt the need to change the restraints on this intiman, but not the others? Btw...not sure when the blue train went down, but it was running when I was there a month ago.

At six flags over Georgia and great escape, the skip the line passes were for up to 4 people. It was even highlighted on the skip the line slip that it was good for up to 4 people. Being that I got my diamond elite memberships from Georgia, I thought all the parks followed the same guidelines as they did regarding the skip the line passes. I'll check when I get home to see if I have one left over to show you.
