  1. Also losses are the people now without jobs...
  2. No Chang opened for the 1997 season and they didn't sell the park to Premier till after the 1997 season was over.
  3. Well Six Flags did promise a water park expansion in exchange for removing Chang. So if the rides do belong to the board and if they put the deal in writing than it will only help the board.
  4. Tig'rr at Indiana Beach after watching the ride tear it's self apart from on top of the lift before an E-Break grabbed us and we sat up there for about 20 mins before finishing the ride at a very slow pace...
  5. ^ Not to mention the many people who no longer have jobs in an already tough economy in Louisville...
  6. It only says it was Ed Hart's "10 year plan" it could be possible for Six Flags to take over on finishing the plans because it would not make sense in investing on a buissness you don't own.
  7. I don't see any where that says Ed Hart added any rides after selling the park in late 1997.
  8. Where can I find more info on this at? Good points Reality15 but alot of it will come down to how the lease was set up.
  9. I agree with you but if the rides legally don't belong to Six Flags than they shouldn't be allowed to take them period. But rides like Greesed Lightning, Road Runner Express, and what ever else they put in than I feel they should be allowed to take those. But really all we can do is agree or disagree but there will be no facts unless they better explain the lease agreement.
  10. Agreed that is a big reward, but maybe it could be only good for one ride because that wouldn't be too bad.
  11. He was talking to Steve Matindale about how he became the park's president, not Shapiro. Opps.. Your right.
  12. ^ I thought he was ESPN's CEO before getting the job as Six Flags CEO?
  13. Great Photos! Curious Is that park only open in the winter?
  14. Beverly Hills Cop was filmed at CGA Also The Road at Conneaut Lake Park Final Destination at Vancouver Playland
  15. Here is the follow up artical which explains how the system will work using "Wally points". Also Waldameer will be selling 5000 Season Passes this year! www.goerie.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20100214/NEWS02/302139877
  16. Drunk People + Fire = Bad Idea Glad to see you are ok Robb along with everyone else who was in that building.
  17. Why fix something that works just fine? I doubt Holiday World will get a wood coaster from any other company than Gravity Group after all they did build them the #1 wood coaster.
  18. I doubt Waldameer would limit the number of cycles for POP users considering they want people to stay all day. When I was at Rye Playland they had this system set up for rides and I think food and it was nice not having to stand behind people trying to count their tickets. Just it becomes a slight inconvenience when you wait 30min for a ride only to find out it won't scan.
  19. www.goerie.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20100213/NEWS02/302139877 Sounds like a great move on Waldameers part, got to wonder if other parks may soon be switching to this system for the convenience and information gathering. http://www.goerie.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2010302149891
  20. It is one of the most Beautiful Parks out there. If you get a chance to go to SDC go, trust me you won't regret it. Also don't miss the Marvel Cave tour or Grandfathers Mansion, and if you are into it Happy Frogs easily the most intense kiddie rides out there. Great to see River Blast coming along it will be a nice family addition to the park to make up for the loss of Gyser Gulch.
