Chase’s 2019 Coaster Adventures

4500 rides on Superman? You must live right by the park to do that. Superman is one of my most ridden coasters and I think I'm only around 120-125 rides. -

Wow that must have been quite the sight to see walking into the park. -

^ Was there an accident that occurred on a S&S tower that I missed to prompt these changes? I can't recall one. -

^ Thanks! I was surprised to see all the single rider lines at this park, but I'm probably going to go the Fast Lane route next month so I can pick my seat (assuming they let you). -

I am at the park today and can confirm it is on Fast Lane. Thanks! Unlimited or single shot only? -

^ They're great for parks with height limitations like Canobie and Galaxyland, but then again I'd prefer one of those smaller Larson towers. -

I'm surprised this didn't get more attention, but Waldameer's new-for-2019 inverting frisbee, Chaos, got stuck in the upside down position for 2 minutes this past Friday. From the article, it sounds like it was a programming error. Until the software engineer arrives and corrects the issue, the ride will be running a non-inverting cycle. Link to GoErie Article -

Glad to hear Untamed is open and great! Did you happen to see if it was on their Fast Lane skip the line pass? I haven't seen it on their website, but I'm guessing it may just not be updated. -

^ Oh I may have been on the second to last train then. I thought they made everyone fill in the available rows. I think it was the blue train I was on. I thought I had enough buffer to comfortably make it, but that 15 minute breakdown almost got me. -

Nice report! I was there last night for the final half hour on the way home from Lake George and narrowly got the last front row ride of the night on Superman. That's my preferred seat without question on Superman. -

^ The seatbelts have seemingly been added to all S&S drop towers this year. The ones at SFNE, Canobie, Lake Compounce, and Galaxyland all had them. -

The above post has most things covered. I also recommend Frightful Falls. It's a good flume. For food, I recommend the Plymouth Rock Cafe. The turkey is delicious. Lastly it's worth noting they can close the lines off for the coasters early. -
The Comet is a great classic woodie. I was disappointed by my first ride in the red train, but it was really running slow. The blue train was way faster. The difference was night and day. The red train had barely any air but the blue train had plenty of it. As for the Bobsled, I didn't get there until it closed at 6 (noise rules) but saw them cycling the remaining guests in line. The biggest difference with Great Escape's bobsled over the one in Texas is the cars. I much prefer the 2 across design on Alpine Bobsled since you don't smack your legs against the side of the vehicle like La Vibora.

I agree those lap bars are amazing. My dream is for SFNE's Superman to get those restraints if it ever gets a new train. -
Thanks! I did see someone else with a TPR item on (forget if it was a shirt or a lanyard). My first ride on Outlaw Run was in complete darkness and I thought the same thing. The Voyage reminds me of Boulder Dash where it just picks up an insane amount of speed for the finale. It's so easy to miss during the Voyage that the entire first half goes uphill, which explains why the second half builds up so much speed.

Great report! I agree El Toro had some bumps, but unless it got way rougher than it was opening day, it's still smoother than 90% of wooden coasters out there and I had no problem marathoning it. I really wonder how bad Colossos got to need a full rail replacement. -
Yeah they started doing that because on opening weekend they allowed line skippers to pick a seat and it basically made waiting in line for the front seat useless because you’d never actually be able to get on. So now they pick middle seats and alternate which ones each time. Makes sense, especially with one train ops.

Ah ok thanks! Wasn't sure with the same manufacturer from the same chain.
