  1. I thought the loose article bins were mesmerizing and ingenious...until someone put a full soda in it and it dumped on my girlfriend while we were parked in the station.
  2. I believe that the Premier Rides rumor started with that leaked presentation, it showed the rough concept layout with cars that were set up 6 seats, 3 cars, leading to a three-car Premier Sky Rocket train. Personally, the "immediate sideways transfer out of the station" makes me think that it's a Mack coaster, considering that's exactly what happens on Star Trek Operation Enterprise at Movie Park Germany. S&S has done it before with PowderKeg too so I wouldn't rule them out either especially with them entering back into the US coaster market.
  3. ^ I thought Batwing was the worst of the Dutchmen. It was quite rattly last year when I rode it in April. Firehawk was the slowest but it was the smoothest.
  4. Great report! I'm looking forward to trying this in a few weeks. The queue looks fantastic. I love when parks take a simple flat and go the extra mile to put it inside and add lights. Just look at all the indoor scramblers in the Northeast. Those are easily some of the best flats at their respective parks.
  5. Yeah it was flying! That was the reason I came to Holiwood Nights and it didn't disappoint. That speed with the darkness was completely out-of-control. And the trim was off for my ride earlier today as well. I’ll do it! Maybe I can get my significant other to join as well. Didn’t know there were teams. Which coaster is it? I was Queen of the 2010 TPR water cup challenge on Medusa, but I’ve never tried one on a wooden coaster. I signed up a team for 10 pm. It's on Legend so those lats will be killer with a water cup.
  6. ^ Yes it should be for the back row of Skull Mountain.
  7. ^ Maybe they'll get the vests like SFNE's SLC. That'll make it a ridable and enjoyable coaster.
  8. Would the other TPR members here want to make a water cup challenge team? I have 3 spots left for Team 9 at 10 pm tomorrow. I fully expect it to be a disaster on a ride with this many laterals, but it'll be a fun disaster.
  9. ^ The one time I did Splashin' Safari was a cool and rainy day. The single rider line was a walk-on all day under those conditions.
  10. If you want to do the big water slides, ride them as soon as Splashin' Safari opens. Raven gets its worst wait when the park opens due to its location. If you aren't at the front of the pack, just move onto Legend, Voyage, and Thunderbird.
  11. I sort of liked the super openness for front row rides, but aesthetically this looks way better.
  12. I guess they thought the V style seating was confusing, but it never slowed down loading that much.
  13. ^ I will take Goliath over Flashback, but I only really ride either if I'm with someone else who wants to.
  14. Twister looks tall and is lap bar only as well, but you can staple yourself to be secure.
  15. I know it can't run below a certain temperature (I think it's 50-60 degrees but someone else may know exactly), which is a problem in New England. And then it has a whole litany of mechanical problems.
  16. The ride also builds up with each one getting progressively wilder.
  17. Last Friday, only the red side was running. I thought that was odd since the ride actually had a line for once (granted it looked to be only 15 minutes).
  18. ^ It's a no tolerance policy. They have an employee at the entrance who asks if your pockets are empty, so it's done on the honor system. And without fail I always see someone angrily kicked out of line for trying to get around it.
  19. Every seat on Phoenix has ridiculous airtime. I guess the middle would have a bit less, but you'll still get launched a foot into the lap bar.
  20. They were on opening day. Also Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro have the same policy.
  21. Kennywood and Hersheypark are great, but Knoebels is the holy ground. I'm glad to be a preacher.
  22. The Beast night ride when we could see lightning in the distance.
