  1. Glad you arrived save and sound, my buddy! I can see you had a great time in Paris, and you visited place Trocadero! I'm so proud Nice updates with lovely pics from tourist stuff and all the little parcs, looking forward to all the next updates! See you on Tuesday
  2. 2:20 am and still working on that fµ$ù@*ing thesis... I sure hope this effort results in a nice diploma! Thank god the dog is quiet now. The frogs on the other hand, they keep going!
  3. Bobbaan at Efteling. Some rough moves but also good fun!
  4. The frogs in my neighbor's pond make too much noise... And my other neighbor's dog keeps barking for more than ten minutes when there is nothing to bark at... No thieves, no mailman, nothing! So STFU, stupid dog! I'm trying to work on my thesis! Sorry, I had to let it out...
  5. ^ is completely wrong < broke the continuity v is afraid of thunderstorms
  6. ^Heheheheheh Maybe you will get the chance to taste some good Belgian beers at the parks, like Stella Artois and Jupiler?! And maybe they will change the name to "Stella Gardens"! Much better! Seriously though, I also find it kinda sad. I feel sorry for the residents that they may be losing their hometown attraction to some big greedy company. InBev is known for cutting jobs and expense accounts so I really hope everything turns out just fine if InBev purchases Anheuser-Busch... (sorry for being off topic)
  7. Ah, KD looks very nice! But apparently not much good coasters?! Good thing the crowds were light then... Love the aerial views, especially the one of Anaconda. I really love the Arrow lay outs, although I've never seen one in real life. Anyway, keep the pictures coming and have fun over there!
  8. Love the music! Kronos Quartet makes everything better... The park itself looks stunning! Nice slides and beautiful theming, what more can we ask for?! Thanks for posting all these images and videos!
  9. Nice pics! Tripsdrill loos like a beautiful park with lovely sights. Mammut sure looks good and the trains have a really funky design on the sides! But I have a little suggestion for you: maybe you can write in English again next time... I understand your text (yes, some Belgians know a little German ) but I think most of the peeps here don't know a single word! Nevertheless, thanks for sharing!
  10. Best: the two Creeks at Phantasialand (making a tidal wave with 4 persons crammed in one boat is always fun)! Worst: none so far! So I have to choose Flash Back at Walibi Belgium without working effects, with dirty water and dirty theming... But the double down hill provides some "airtime", so it's also a good one! I just hope they cleaned it for this season, so that becomes a really good one again!
  11. Monaco line-up for tomorrow! 12. Did you know that Efteling security once found a man swimming around in the Fata Morgana (boat dark ride) at night? He said he wanted to enjoy the ride at night, since it was so beautiful! After some questions, he admitted that he was searching for valuable items in the displays and money that visitors had thrown in the water...
  13. Hi guys! What a great trip and report so far! I'm really enjoying it! I love it that you both also included some 'random' pics like the skylines, roads and waterfalls. Lovely to see! Have fun over there and snap away!
  14. ^Agreed! I really love this TR with jelly, he makes me smile! And I had a good laugh seeing him with you guys on ToT! Great onride pic Nice work and thanks for sharing!
  15. I repeat myself: great TR with very nice pictures! But I would love to see some pics of you guys too! It almost looks like your cameras are on a trip by themselves CP really looks like roller coaster heaven! Good thing the crowds were ok. I can't imagine what the lines must look like during vacation... And I think that being nervous for TTD is totally normal. I guess everyone who rides it for the first time is nervous. I know I would be very very nervous! Btw, Ishtar nor Hind made it to the finals of EuroVision... That was to be expected!
  16. ^I also hope the ride gets fixed... C'mon Van Damme! Although most people say it's nothing amazing, I still want to ride it! I think it's a unique experience. But on the other side I think it's a pain in the eye (is that a correct expression?!). The supports are so damn ugly and you see them everywhere! And it took over the lovely island where my first true love stood (Tornado)... Hmpf!
  17. Nice pictures, guys! I hope you *are* having fun over there, in spite of the sloooooow ops at SFKK Good thing those at KI were better! I love the pictures of Son of Beast, that coaster and especially the helices look beautiful! Btw, those White Castle burgers may look cute but they also look a bit disgusting... Were they any good?! Keep up the good work and have fun!
  18. ^Hee hee, you inspired me! Hi Yah! Van Damme saves the day!
  19. I just read this on a Belgian newssite: "Scarcely two months after it has been officially taken in use and two weeks after the festive inauguration, the amusement park Walibi Belgium had to close Vertigo already. During a check-up, it was discovered that the revolutionary coaster is already suffering wear. The management can't say when Vertigo will be open again. The incident is in advance way out in the calculations of Walibi. The complete publicity campaign for this season had been built around the Vertigo. Together with the coaster, the management has now also stopped the campaign." I sure hope it will be open again real soon. I was going to visit the park in June, and so is the TPR Europe Trip!
  20. Thanks for the comments! It's always good to know that your pictures are appreciated... Look harder next visit! I'm already looking forward to your pictures of the Efteling! Unlike you, I'm not good at self-promotion
  21. WOW! All these pictures are amazing! I always love close ups, especially from coasters and yours are truly incredibly good! That picture of Pompeii is just perfect, IMO! I sure hope I can visit BGE one day... Good work! No, perfect work!
  22. Alright! How nice that you guys are doing a trip together! I will check this thread every day to see how my compatriots and northern neighbours are doing over there! Cool pics so far! The Voyage looks really sweet and so high! Yikes! I thought Troy was high... Keep up the good work and I'm really looking forward to the rest!
  23. Ah, the Efteling... Such a beautiful park! I'm really in love with it and everytime I visit it, I'm stunned by it's beauty. Even though the weather wasn't great (rain in the morning) we still had a day packed with fun! The lines were OK so we rode all the coasters (some of them twice), did some flat rides, had some good snacks, blah blah blah! I'm not good at words so I'll let the pics speak for themselves. Enjoy! And I leave you with this view of the Pagode! Giant fake bird and tiny real bird make a cute couple! The themed entrance of Bird Rok (too bad that's almost the only themeing the rollercoaster got) Little baby ducks are cute! The Fata Morgana building: nice and quiet on the outside, terrible creatures on the inside! Looking back to Heralds Place This beautiful signs leads you to the fairy tale of the Indian Water-lilies. The Gold-A$$! Donkey-quota double fulfilled! A funky pink pigeon! Some lovely buildings with fairy tales inside. The beautiful Heralds Place. And finally the sun came out! Liesbeth imitating the gnome Little Message. That sure seems an uncomfortable pose to me! But she can make it snow if you call her! Wheeee! Here is Mother Hulda. Nothing special at first sight... I am!!! "Nibble, nibble, little mouse, who is gnawing at my house?" The beautiful house where the seven little goats live. I love the carved face! There's that ugly costumer! But it seems that he dressed up for the occasion! Rodent-quota fulfilled! Mother Goat strolling around in the forest. Little does she know that there's an ugly costumer at her door! Yo mister! You might want to do something about the smell of your breath! Ah, the Little Mermaid! Another caption could be "BOOBS!" Annemie listening to the music that the gnomes make in their little houses. The Troll King! He talks nonsense but he's made by the creators of "Spitting Image" so he's cool! The witch with the drop of mucus dangling from her nose welcomes us! A lovely entrance sign for the Fairy Tale Forest Everything is themed at the Efteling! And again going in... Corky coming OUT of the trees! Corky (that's the name of this train, the other one is called Loopy) doing that loop-da-loop thing A train full of happy people! Going down... Here comes the Python! It's a Vekoma with good loopings, the corkscrews are just OK. Loekie and Guusje dance the hula! Donkey-quota fulfilled! The drums of Africa! Black Mamba! Oh, wait, that's another theme park Poor Loekie! He's freezing his a$$ off! Guusje is too cute! Everything in this ride makes me smile! Taaa ta ta taaa ta ta tatadaaaah! Carnaval Festival has the most contagious theme song ever! Laaf with evil smile thinks "Hee hee, I going to mix some old leftovers in this paste... Nobody will notice!" Hmmmmm... Laaf-made pastry... The camera made this pic on his own with the self-timer and we thought it turned out great! The jump house! Liesbeth is jumping but Annemie is all "Meh, whatever..." We also checked out the houses by foot. It's really fun to discover what's inside (although this one was totally empty) Hey! Stop following us!! Liesbeth enjoying the snail-monorail. You even go through the houses! You get to see the houses from the People of Laaf at close quarters. The snails go through the trees and over the water. Let's ride around in the snail-monorail! Lady, I would appreciate it if you make them stop puking water all over the place! Liesbeth and Nelle having fun on the pirate ship. They sat in the second row (pussies!) while Annemie and I were in the top row. It was my first time on a pirate ship and boy, this one goes very high! Wheeeee! The Carrousel Palace (inside is also the Diorama) Just a lovely sight! A train climbing the lift hill of Pegasus. A cute coaster but we rode it only once and that was enough! A bit painful in the back seat... A Flying Dutchman boat with Pegasus (Intamin junior woodie) in the background SKLOOOSH! That's the reward you get when you escaped... Another boat trying to escape the curse of the Ghost Ship! This is the lovely view you get when you're going back to the harbour. Liesbeth and I having fun on the Flying Dutchman! Going down! My very first attempt making onride pics and only one came out good... This is the queue area. The pic is a bit dark but I think it perfectly shows the atmosphere. It really feels like you're waiting in a harbour from the Golden Age! Time to ride the Flying Dutchman! This is the über-themed entrance building. Liesbeth checks the map to see where we go next. Hm, I hope she knows what she's doing... Here's Hugo, the owner of the place, warning us that his house is cursed! Down is up and up is down! Next stop: Villa Volta! (a.k.a. Vekoma-in-a-box) A tiny troll in the bushes and some elves sitting in a tree... (this is the only pic of Dream Flight that came out good) We immediately went to Dream Flight since the lines can be very long. Liesbeth and Annemie are very excited to meet elves, trolls and other riff-raff! Yay! We arrived unscathed! A coach full of blurry but happy people! On our way to the Efteling! Nelle is having a carrot, I will have a Efteling-DVD. Much better! (yes, I have new braces... woo hoo)
