I agree with Sir Chinksalot. The 170ft lift is misleading. The height is measured from the apex of the lift to the bottom of the midway in Rapids Camp crossing, not the apex of the lift from the station, which is in reality only 115ft. with the 124ft pretzel loop, as Sir Chinksalot has mentioned, is the only point of the ride that deviates from the rest of the ride circuit. Not trying to beat a dead horse (unnecessarily mind you) But Tatsu's elevation change (and the numbers being off) has always irked me. But I digress, I would really like to see the land between X and Viper developed into something more than just tumbleweeds and air. The park owns enough of the land back there to extend a circuit all the way back to Cyclone Bay. If a Giga or Mega Lite is in the works, I'd much rather see an out-and-back type ride in that land rather than the condensed space Log Jammer's spot would offer

Hmmm. There's A.Behind/over Bigfoot Rapids B.South Parking lot (Supreme Scream lot;Hotel parking) C.North end service road (Camp Snoopy up to Boardwalk) D.Kingdom of the Dinosaurs building E.Screamin' Swing midway And these are just five areas off the top of my head that would require little to no removal of existing structures. Modifications? Maybe. But removals? And we haven't even begun to get into an attraction interacting around preexisting enviroments...

I'm sure that there will be plenty to share during whatever Q&A session they put together. I'm in the same boat as most of you. You look at Bullet as the last aggressive thrill attraction back in 2004* (essentially 2005); going into 2012, we're looking at 7-8 years without a contribution to the park's high thrill category. I'm sure something's in store for the park, but I as well hope that the timeline for whatever the park will get is in the beginging of the 2012 fiscal year.

Movies, Movies, Movies.....

I saw "In Time". There will be SPOILER ALERTS so if you intend on seeing the movie, read no further. Okay, the idea of using time as currency was a really great idea, because the main underlying theme of the movie was "how much is your life worth?" However, what I think was a great concept, was ruined by bad delivery, not enough exposition of main characters, a bad cast ensemble, and cheesy effects. It did have two redeeming qualities in the sense that some parts are so bad that they're funny, and you get to see Timberlake shirtless.....twice. -
There are absolutely no airtime coasters on the west coast*, so anything would be welcome. And if Knott's decides to build a B&M, I'd embrace it with open arms. And if there is any truth to Magic Mountain's rumour of an Intamin giga, we'd be looking at going from nothing, to two (I'm sure will be) world class airtime machines in the same market within the next 2-4 years. If that's not something to shout about, I don't know what would be. *Please, PLEASE for the love of God no one mention Goliath, it was omitted for good reason.

^I respectfully disagree. I understand that the park has made tremendous strides in improving the ambiance of the park. However I don't think anyone; (amusement park, person, sports franchise etc.) should be immuned to criticism. The most effective way to improve anything is to criticize it. Now whether the criticism received is constructive or not can be questioned. In recent months of reading this particular thread, The general theme has been civil, constructive, and positive criticism. Of course there have been a few exceptions, but "park bashing" I think we can all agree is as much a thing of the past as rude employees and trash fluttered midways. Now is the park in it's current state anywhere near what it was in say....2003? Fudge no. But is it operating anywhere near the potential we know it could? I'd also have to say no. With that said, I would have to say that very little of Tatsu is in Sammuri Summit. In fact, the only part that is I believe is the overbanked turn. X doesn't really have a definitive theme, so it's placement in Baja Ridge isn't exactly a sore thumb, but there are things like the Panda Express in the Latin themed area, and the Pizzeria in the Asian themed area, and so on. My point being...if the effort is going to be made to have themes, do it the best you can.

^If there is a demand for "BBW" and "Granny" genres in the adult film biz, I'm sure li'l ol' lady Lohan can find a niche... -
