  1. I'm still not so sure about Shapiro being the right guy. There was tons of bashing him with decisions like removing flats, those god-awful highlighter shirts (Knott's has the best uniforms in the chain...don't f%$# with them!) the Dark Knight fiasco, A barbershop. I mean...I wouldn't want to see him leading Cedar Fair.
  2. ^Yea, but his (Shapiro's) "let's speed up before we hit the ground" mentality didn't help.
  3. Smart money (out of the two you mentioned) would be placed on OKC. New Orleans just doesn't have a roster to make a deep run into the playoffs. Basketball is a game of size, and when your best guy is 6'3'', you're not going anywhere.
  4. ^I'm sure tons of ladies would rather ride that guy...
  5. I think the Lakers lock up the west. I see them being very aluggish to start off and getting more and more into championship form as each round comes. I think the only team that might eff them over is Boston, who is the only team with any real desire to crush L.A. Yea, other eastern teams may want to WIN, but Boston has to make a statement. It would be like the talks about when the Lakers won in 2009. Everyone was saying "yea, they won, but they didn't win it against the team they wanted to". That's not to take anything away from Orlando, but as cliche as it is, the Lakers-Celtics rivalry is storied to say the least/
  6. Well at least it's getting done. Yes the ride may have been down for three weeks, and on the surface it may have seemed like an ideal to paint it. I'm sure however that most people (including a bulk of us enthused coaster peeps) would have liked to see a three week rehab with a spotty paint job than a two month rehab and a nice looking bird perch.
  7. ^Then it should've been dubbed "Escape from the Matrix"
  8. "The Rat Pack was a cool group of Black men that inspired five white guys called the Jacksons"
  9. EDIT: I will be moonlighting as a Ride Op at Knott's once again. It's only going to be a weekend gig for me. It's cool and I'm stoked to get paid for a hobby.
  10. Nice to hear that Deja Vu is back open...I have to make it back out there to ride it. Other than WCB, I haven't been to the park since '09...There are some rides I've missed riding.
  11. ^Yea, Everything except P90X is pretty much at full swing...One of Bullet's train's might see a small rehab before summer, but it's looking nice at this point
  12. I rode Revenge of the Mummy at USH three times as the only rider. Awesomeness
  13. Guess Who's Back-Scarface
  14. Tatsu with 1 train....ooh...tough to bear. Hope all three are ready to at least tackle the Memorial Day crowd.
  15. As of today the front of the park right under Bullet's cobra roll is ripped up. Probably running some Electrical pipes. Very interesting to see though.
  16. Till I Get There-Lupe Fiasco
  17. Windseeker should at least be open before Road Runner Express...
  18. ^It was supposed to be up and running yesterday. So if not today, definately Monday.
  19. Well if they ain't talkin' 'bout you, you must be doing something right. I remember that "off" day Robb did a PTR that spawned into like 6-7 pages of complaints. But if everything's going well, no one compliments. I guess this is a case of silence being golden...
  20. ^I don't think it's fair to criticize CF for closing GL. That was bound to happen no matter wh owned it. CF just took it off life support. However I will agree it seems like some unethical things have gone on behind closed doors, and it would appear Q wants to bring those going-ons to light.
  21. ^It may suck now, but it's what's going to allow those two rides to be able to run at two/three train operation respectively during peak. It's just part of the business for a year round pak.
  22. I work for LACMTA...I operate the 33 line out of Venice.
