The 2015-16 NBA Season

If Dirk can get either Jason Terry or Shawn Marion to have a stellar offensive game to compliment Dirk's offense. Dallas could very well pull off a series win. I just really hate how Miami has not won either of their games in dominating fashion, yet are being heralded as the chosen team-as if this championship is their God given right. It's 2-2. Each victory with the exception of game 1 has been decided by three points or fewer. Dallas is just as capable to win as Miami. And if Miami goes on to win, I wouldn't want to hear any discredit to the Mavs. They are making Miami work for the title, just as Dallas is not experience a cake walk themselves. I guess the biggest frustration out of all of this is no one will acknowledge that this is an evenly matched battle. If Dallas goes on to win, everyone will say it was a fluke and that Miami should've won. This is the way I personally feel about any playoff series....Best team always wins. ALWAYS. You don't by chance win four out of seven games. And if Miami loses, it won't be because LeBron didn't show up, it won't be because of the lack of chemistry...it's just that of two evenly matched teams, one of them rose a little higher to the occasion. -

If there is any team that is in the league right now I'd want to win this title, (other than L.A. of course) is Dallas. Mark Cuban can be an ass at times, but he is as passionate a fan of the game as a dedicated owner. It's just really irratating to me that despite the fact that this series is tied at a game a piece, everyone's talking like the series was over before it started, and that the Mavs had no chance. Well my hopes that Miami loses this series goes far beyond me not wanting LeBron to win a title. It's more along the lines of wanting to see the better team win. Dirk Nowitzki is probably the most deserving candidate for winning it all in this series. He played his whole career in Dallas, even when they sucked. And through various roster changes, he has always come through to be the Mavs' elite player. However, I can understand why it's very important for Miami to win this year. I think they really have to. The arguement that LeBron's legacy shouldn't be tarnished because he left his team is flawed. Most sports analysts would argue that LeBron is right to leave and if he goes on to win a championship (or ships) is because of the collective of a great ensemble of players around him. But here's the flaw. Couldn't the same be said of any player? If Pau Gasol showed up in L.A. two years earlier, would Kobe have 7 rings? If Allen Iverson had a better cast, could he have beaten the Lakers in 2001? Normally I'm not a big fan of "what if" scenarios, but the reason why it's such a factor in this series, is because where do you draw the line between "LeBron is a great player that won a title" and "this was a great team that won a title"? Why does this mean Miami have to win this title? Two reasons. We've seen LeBron didn't get one by himself. If this team around him can't get it this year, a "dream team" built to win this championship, the talks of him being so great might take a turn for the worse. Second, there are three players on this team that by themselves can be "franchise" players (personally, I don't this Chris Bosh is that great ) There was a lot of "ego" that had to take a backseat to make this team work. If all those sacrifices were for anything short of a banner, things may not sit well and team chemistry may adversly be affected. All in all, I would really love Dallas to win this series. I like Dwayne Wade. He single handedly won that championship series in 2006. In fact, it was the lack of superstar help on that roster that can help you make the arguement that Dwayne Wade is far more a superior player...dare I say winner than LeBron is. However, this Dallas team has worked a lot harder over a longer period of time to be where they are. And I think fundamentally, they deserve to win more (even though I would've loved to see the Lakers win no. 17). -

Well I'm not a band wagoner by any stretch of the imagination, but I'd much rather see Dirk get a ring than LeBron... -

Prototype-OutKast -
It did win a butt-load of grammy's back in 2004, but The Love Below was an amazing album. It propelled Outkast into this area of music that had been tried before, but they were the first to really perfect it. R&B, funk, hip-hop...it all blended together so well... This album deserved all the hype it got and then some.

Raphael Saadiq-Stone Rollin' 8/10 I really like this album...but the only thing keeping me from giving this album a solid 10, is the fact that all of his albums exhibit some type of sound that distinguishes one from another. Stone Rollin (5/10/11) sounds too much like The Way I See It. (2008) Now I love both albums, for their explicit homage to 60's and 70's soul music, but for someone to have a different and unique sound for each album, to have the last one sound like a continuation of its prior, seems like it lacked effort. That aside, Stone Rollin' is a fantastic R&B album. Saadiq is showing the R&B world that youngsters have a lot to learn fron the gospeldelic soul singer.
