One word.......fake, I cannot see Atari taking the Rollercoaster Tycoon franchise any further, at the moment you still need a pretty top spec PC in order to run RCT3 and all the add-ons with a large park, there is no way they would release or be working on a new version with more intensive graphics, the requirements would rule so many people out of getting this game. If you do a google image search for RCT4 you find a few mock ups that look pretty realistic and genuine, but I truly believe it isn't gonna happen. Just my 2p (cents, I suppose!) Andrew

I have only been to M&D's once, it was a few years back now, but when I got there the damn place was closed, I don't make a habbit of doing this, I was up in Glasgow for a week for work and had a spare few hours whilst there so thought I would grab some credits......haven't been back since, but from what I have heard, you need a back brace and a neck brace to ride Tornado! After riding Inferno at Terra Mitica, I have to say that This doesn't look as intense! I understand that Inferno is a lot smaller so does not need to have block sections however the speed that Inferno goes round its first drop is higher than the same drop on Insane. Maybe it is just being run in at the moment, but honestly when you are on the outward facing seat, that first drop is immense! Will have to wait and see I think Andrew.

I have to say I was blown away by her performance also, and what a cracking song to pick and sing, always been a fan of Les Miserables, she certainly did the song justice! Andrew

In the current exchange rate £40 works out as $59.19 Rollercoaster I believe has ran once or twice since the beginning of the year, but is officially SBNO currently and its future is uncertain. Andrew

The Rollercoaster at PBB has closed, there is no information at this time as to it reopening at all. £40 is very cheap, but it wasn't particularily well advertised that it was going for sale, guess the people that won this got lucky! Andrew

I remember going to Metroland every year when my parents decided they wanted to go clothes shopping........when there is a small Theme Park at the opposite end of the Shopping Centre I just couldn't say no!!! Always had good fun, the All New Rollercoaster was pretty fun in the back row, always found a nice bump of AirTime on the first drop, which I put down to the incredibly long trains that they used to run! My Last ever visit was 2007, it is a shame it has closed, however, I was at the stage where riding the coaster was becoming a tad uncomfortable, those Zierer cars certainly arent designed with adults in mind! The first rollercoaster I can remember riding was The Ladybird at Pleasurewood Hills (which later became The Rattlesnake, then Snake in the Grass (does that count as 3 credits as I have ridden it in each guise? My First Looping Coaster though was going to be Corkscrew at Alton in 1992 however I chickened out as I was only 10 at the time and going from the Ladybird to Corkscrew was pretty major! So the next year when on a School trip to the Netherlands I took the opertunity to ride Python! So my first Looper wasn't even in my own country, oh well! Andrew

Did anyone on here actually ride Lightnin' Loops before the unfotunate accident?? The reason I ask, did they always launch simultaneously? Or was it just luck occasionally? If it was always simulataneously, this is how dueling/racing coasters should still be run today, it is part of the draw and thrill of the ride!!! Andrew

Unfortunatly, I did not get any photos of the Runaway Mine Train, looks like a great little kiddies ride though, I should check the Park Index before I go to any other Theme Parks in future!

All the footers were layed, there wasn't any sign of track or supports though, although I am guessing this is probably a fairly straightforward ride to construct, aparently it is opening in the summer some time, so still a month or two to go, completely forgot to get Footer Porn photos though.

I do believe it was opened last year... ...I know exactly what you mean, my last visit was when Magnum and Bullet were operating side by side and the park seemed very spread out, now everything seems so close together and packed, good fun all the same. Andrew

Well, not 1 month has passed since my last park visit in the UK, and finally I get to go back to one of my favourite small parks (although its a shame it is minus the schwarzkopfs of a few years ago)! Every Easter bank holiday I make the 300 mile trip up to the North East of england to visit my relatives, normally we have things planned for the whole weekend, which cuts out any park time.....but I made sure this year that I would get a day at a park, I was torn between Lightwater Valley and Flamingo Land, but after weighing up all the options (ie. what exactly is new at Lightwater Valley since I visited about 8 years ago?!?!) We settled on Flamingo Land. Bonus, the wife loves Animals (so do I, but I love coasters more ) So I knew she would be happy with the Zoo arrangement. The weather forecast wasn't looking particularily amazing, but as we are british and are used to the disappointment our weather gives us on national holidays, we thought "why not!" (I am so glad the UK Parks don't have the wet weather policy of quite a few American Parks......if we had that policy, the parks would never open!!!) Let me give you a brief rundown of my day, I shall follow with some photos. Parking in the overflow car park (for car park read muddy field) we were expecting massive queues considering the parks size, I was very impressed though with the layout of the park, even though everything major is crammed in within a 5 minute walk max, the longest wait was 20 minutes all day (beats my all time record of 3 hours for Oblivion opening weekend 1998!!!) Velocity - My first "Booster Bike", I was amazed, such a fun ride, the wife even enjoyed it (which is a first), really enjoyed the launch, no where near as powerful as some, but strong enough to give a little kick. Wild Mouse - Well, hasn't changed since I was here a few years ago, although this was my wifes first "Mouse" and she certainly got a surprise at the speed of the corners.....lets just say she wasn't a massive fan (really should have bought the on ride dvd......priceless!) Kumali - After only riding 1 SLC (Terra Mitica) I was expecting this to be a Ride Once and log it ride.........boy was I wrong, If I had never ridden Nemesis (good nemesis, not bad nemesis) this would have gone right in at my No 1 UK ride, so much speed carried out from the first drop, nice amount of G's one the first turn, smooth as glass.......Definately a re-rider, my only complaint would be the length, so much speed is carried into the final helix and brakes, looking at the scale of the ride, I think there could have at least been 1 or 2 more inversions, it just seems it is getting good pace when the end appears. Corkscrew - What can I say about this.......good to be able to ride as Altons one is no more, but my god, could it do with a lick of paint and some maintenance, I made sure I rode it once and in the front car, but still had quite a few nasty bumps during the course, I just hope that Kumali and Velocity don't go the same way in years to come. I'll let the photos show the rest of the park for you as I am too tired to be making more comments! Most definately not! Could it be here? Warning taken, will be on the lookout for acceptable wetness. And the award for most random name of a Theme Park ride goes too.....................Flip Flop. Typical Fun Disko, I found it interesting that they have this and then a Frisbee Style ride opposite, surely they are similar experiences? New for 2009, Spongebob 4D Through the Trees Ahhh, good mouse Two words, Maintenance Needed. Bet no-one has ever taken these photos before One word caption..........Smooth. Velocityyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.......... Back to the rides.....Kumali, feet shot! Think someone took too long setting up the auto focus in order to get my face on the ride, not just my shoes. I always want to take them home with me, I am fairly certain this one wanted to come with me also. This is what I came for! Meerkats, love em! I am fairly certain Lynx's are not normally this fat! The wif*ahem* sorry, wrong caption. The wife doing something she wanted to do..................sit down. Kumali from the Zoo, looking good! I don't think they think it is! Is this an acceptable amount of wetness?? Back to earth Right hand Seat.....love Space Shots, but they do get boring after the initial launch. Time for blast off What this I Spy?? My darling wife and myself are going to Holland for our wedding anniversary this year, gonna finally get to hop into Walibi World for the day, been wanting to go since Six Flags Holland was the name, Is Goliath the only ride really worth riding?? Have to say, this was an awesome intro to a dvd, I really must order myself one of your dvd's soon, I keep meaning too, just keep forgetting!!! Why was Lou wet then? Without a doubt My 2 worst coasters tied are Ultimate at Lightwater Valley.....congratulations on being so damn long.....but it doesn't add anything to the ride, it is just long for longs sake. Joint last has to be Magnus Collosus at Terra Mitica, Benidorm......Pain Pain Pain, I have never literally wanted to get off a coaster half way round every, I was almost crying in pain, I am never ever riding that again in the back seat!!!!!!! (I was the only one to get off the train in the station, everyone else went round again!) Andrew

I believe that the whole "cause" of the movie was a tarot machine, not a coaster. My mind is rusty on BIG, but I believe the only thing you see coming close to a rollercoaster is a Ring of Fire at the beginning (called Super Loop I think) and later on Dragon Coaster Haven't watched it in a year or two, so I could be wrong. Andrew Wasn't it filmed at Playland? Interesting piece of knowledge for you, I understand the "Zoltar" machine from the film is still there? can anyone confirm or deny this?

Beverly Hills Cop 3 - was filmed at Great America I believe. Also "Rollercoaster" (can't remember where that was filmed). At the moment Channel 4 in the UK are using some on ride footage of Acelerator from Knotts in an advert.

Nice photos, haven't been since 2002, nice to see the updates, would have been a better trip back then had they had ToT and Crush! May have to take another trip across the channel! Andrew

Looking pretty impressive, it is just a shame you don't enter the land by going "through" a train station mockup..... Should be incredibly themed though.

Pretty good actually, my first ride was done without queuing, good knowing people who work at the park, but the 2nd ride I queue'd, Really enjoyed it, shame it isn't the real Jigsaws voice, but still very good!
