  1. Not necessarily wanting a super long coaster, but something with a decent ride time would be nice, something along the lines of Scream, Montu, Kumba, that sort of thing. I have been taking a closer look at the plans for this, just a few bits to note.... The colour of the track will be RAL 7005 The colour of the supports will be RAL 7022 The original MTDP that was submitted has never actually been approved, this has been submitted hoping that it will speed up the process of the original MTDP, so there is still a possibility this may not happen. Looking at the plans at 400% zoom, the track cross section is standard B&M track, so unless they are keeping something hidden or it is a hidden system, I think this will be a static wingrider and not a 4th Dimension.
  2. In the far left hand front seats that is going to be one hell of a leg chopper effect!!! The themeing on this looks utterly gorgeous, I can only hope Merlin put the same effort into the Thorpe Wingrider!
  3. I believe the infilling for this new island was started last year, maybe someone has some photos?
  4. [sarcasm]Doesn't look like there will be much AirTime[/sarcasm] On a serious note, that layout looks nuts!!!! That first drop/inversion looks insane, nice one B&M for coming up with a layout that is completely different to anything ever seen before.... downside.....yet again the UK gets another short coaster.....what more can we do to ask for a decent length of coaster!?! So we have 4 inversions...... 1\ First Drop 2\ Zero G Roll 3\ Corkscrew/Barrel Roll 4\ In Line Twist just before brake run And the height is 126.64ft (small?) Can't wait till 2012 though, I'll be there to ride this beast! The Themeing looks amazing too!! lets just hope Merlin can pull it off again like they did with the Saw attractions.
  5. Last April I did a round trip of the UK, starting in London, did the big 3 (legoland, chessington and thorpe), heading along the M4 into wales for a stop off at Oakwood (it really is worth the drive, best park in the UK as far as I'm concerned!), headed up the coast of Wales back into the UK to do Camelot and Blackpool in one day (only wanted Camelot for Knightmare! awesome coaster) headed across country to the North East for Lightwater Valley (did Flamingoland at the end of 2009 so not in a major rush for it at that point!) then headed down to Fantasy Island, then finished up at Drayton Manor. Take a look if you like and maybe take something from it for your own trip... http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=54414
  6. They are two new trains as the old ones were not in the best state. They are only getting two which rules out any chances of 3 train operation now. They are/have been built in house due to the last time they bought trains from another company. Also the pay booths from the ride have been removed and the ride has been repainted. Hope that clears a few things up!! It would be a start if they actually ran 2 train operation!!!! Everytime I have been there in the last few years during busy periods I have had to suffer stupid 1 train operation with waits of 45 minutes every time, it is ridiculous!!!
  7. Exactly what is this based on? For all we know the B&M Wingrider Train has full suspension giving a glass smooth ride no matter what speed! From one very small webcam image, nothing can be drawn, we at least need a POV before we can judge how it rides (airtime etc...)
  8. Order placed, can you just verify I have done this correctly, I selected Overseas, so the total came to $35.88 including Paypal Fees... Thanks Robb The total in the store is $35, but I said I needed an ADDITIONAL $10 to ship them internationally. That's $10 IN ADDITION to what the store charges. Look, I'm just going to refund your money. This is exactly the kind of hassle I DID NOT want to have to deal with when I said I wouldn't ship them internationally to begin with. Really, sorry. --Robb Fair enough, sorry about that Robb, thanks for sorting it though..... ....will purchase some Tee's when you next get some on the site.
  9. Order placed, can you just verify I have done this correctly, I selected Overseas, so the total came to $35.88 including Paypal Fees... Thanks Robb
  10. Is there anyway this can be extended to overseas? I am itching at the bit to get hold of a few different T-Shirts for my Sweden trip this summer!!!!!!
  11. Great Trip Report, did you successfully ride Anaconda? You don't hear much about this one, I believe it was made by Giovanola if I am not mistaken, I remember reading a construction report about it in First Drop years ago. Lovely looking park, I kinda regret not visiting it when I was in SA 2 years ago (but then again, I was only in J'burg for about 1 hour!
  12. Not bad at all, if I had any criticism at all, it would be the following..... Lower the height of the Lift Hill and lower the angle of the hill, too steep and too tall!! The first turn off the lift is also angled down too steeply, make the angle more of a shallow angle. The turnaround off the loop, the track leading into it has almost no banking on your model, look at a few POV's of Nemesis, it has more banking than that. Apart from these small bits, it is looking great!!
  13. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=57605
  14. If it all falls through and no buyer can be found Bernie Ecclestone should buy it and change the name to the F1 Theme Park, not loads of retheming to do so could be done fairly quickly........well apart from the gigantic Ferrari Logo!
  15. Only when they trip over Awesome update, the support work on this is some of the sexiest I have ever seen!!!!
  16. The Parks.it boards have been quiet lately, not sure if X-Raptor is being discussed anywhere else online, be nice to see some updated pictures though!
  17. Looking at the pic more closely, it looks like they have essentially taken the top restraint from their flyer and attached it to the side of the carriage, I think this is definitely a sneak peek of a wingrider car
  18. Yes, it is running until 4th January 10am till 10pm every day.... http://www.hydeparkwinterwonderland.com/
  19. Rage was GREAT! So if that's the case, I'm looking forward to this! Agrees, Rage is an awesome little coaster, the right elements in the correct order. If it tracks as well as Rage this will be a great addition for Canobie....as long as they run more cars than Adventure Island seem to (just to add, the 2 times I have ridden Rage, they have only run 1 car, so this is from personal experience!)
  20. Show me another B&M that looks the same as this one............ B&M have done a great job so far, the trains will be the interesting thing, cannot wait for more photos!
  21. Sorry what was that? http://www.chilis.com/EN/locations/Pages/locationslisting.aspx Going off the official Chili's website.........
  22. There are no Chili's in Australia, so that can be ruled out
  23. The adaptor in the picture has large round pins.......Europe uses a pin system, but a smaller pin. My wife was in the UAE in April, I just checked her travel adaptor, it is identical to the one in the photo. P.S. Having said that, the last time this game was played all the clues at the start pointed to being international travel, however it was only a short flight to Canada. You have got to think what attractions other than Disney are still open at this time of the year?
  24. Abu Dhabi For Ferrari World....working out below In the photo of Elissa by the ticketing machines, it looks like there could be a Prancing Horse on her bag The Travel Adapter in the photo is one of the units to convert power for the United Arab Emirates Other than that, I think everything else is to put us off the scent...I remember the last Where in the world, loads of things to put us all off!!!!!
  25. This thing looks more awesome every time I see new photos, The question now is that as it is a straight first drop rather than the classic twisty drop, what element is going to come next?! Maybe an Immelman? Can't wait to see this thing finished!
