  1. I had no idea what to do, I told the friend that was with us to get some water for her because we had noticed that they were handing out water, but other than that I was clueless as what to do. And yes of course I made sure she was perfectly fine before getting on a Vekoma. Most people were indeed in the waterpark... Yes it is true that at Carowinds the staff seem much nicer than at any Six Flags park, and I am thankful that they were so nice. Wow, thats awesome, we sure could have met up, we had a great time though. We saw some guy there filming Top Gun, they had a Camp Pinewood Staff shirt on, the reason we noticed that is that we saw a bunch of people with Camp Pinewood shirts on a couple of weeks ago at Frankie's Fun Park in Greenville, and we thought that they were following us.
  2. Ok so Monday me and my girlfriend headed up towards Charlotte for a day at Carowinds. We arrived at the ticket booth at around 10:15 a.m., and it looked to be pretty crowded. After going through security and the gates we got into the Park Promenade where it was indeed crowded for a Monday. The first thing we did was rent a locker for $8. And then we headed off to the Carolina Cyclone for the first ride of the day. We walked on the ride and got in the front seat. You could tell the grease hadn't loosened up any and was pretty slow. After the Carolina Cyclone, we walked to the opposite end of the park to meet up with our friend. We waited and waited, and waited, it turned out her and her family had already ridden Top Gun twice. So when she came, we got in line and rode Top Gun in the front, one of the greatest coasters ever. After Top Gun we headed over to Thunder Road and rode the backwards side in the very back (or front, if the train was turned around), for it being morning, the coaster moved on pretty fast. After that, we rode Frenzoid, the Swinging Inverter Ship, and it HURT, the OTSRs curve into your stomach and are nothing but pain, so anyway after that we got some frozen lemonade, and sat down. We then decided to try to get in line for Borg. We headed over to Borg and I asked the guy standing out front how long the wait was, and he replied "30 minutes" Well we thought, "Hey thats not bad, we can do that" So we got in line, and waited and waited and waited. At the hour mark the ops announced that they would be putting it on one train operation for whatever reason. Well that took 30 minutes more, and after that they were still running 2 trains, ok whatever. Well they start running the trains again and we were right at the station steps and I notice my girlfriend starting to act like she was dizzy, well I said "Tasha, hey are you ok???" and down she goes, so Im like ok don't know what to do, and everybody is staring at her, and I'm like "IDK what to do..." So some guy is like you want me to help you bring her up there? And Im like "Sure I guess" So we bring her up to the station platform, and the ride ops there were really nice to us, trying to make her laugh, getting her water, etc. He told us that she was the 6th person so far that day to pass out in line for the Borg, this was at like noon, so 6 people had passed out in 2 hours already. So when she came back around the guy told us that we could get in line for the front. So we got in line for the front and rode. Overall Borg is a really good ride, but the themeing adds so much to it. After riding the Borg, we went and got something to eat, and then went and rode Drop Zone, which was pretty much my first drop ride, even though its not the biggest, I thought it was pretty intense, anyway after that we rode The Hurler which was running pretty rough. Then we went and rode Ricochet, a pretty normal wild mouse. After Ricochet, we headed to the "nut cruncher," a.k.a. Vortex, not as rough as some said, and overall pretty fun for a stand-up, which I am usually not too fond of. After riding those, we headed over to the Goldrusher for a spin, I was pretty un-impressed, Dahlonega is a much better mine train than this. We headed over to Top Gun for another ride after Goldrusher and this time rode in the middle. I can't get over how great a ride Top Gun is... Anyway after that, we headed over to the kid section and rode The Ghoster... err, The Fairly Odd Coaster, too bad its not any longer, because for a kiddie coaster its pretty fun. Then we rode the flyers, and I was the only one who was snapping, at the end, my tub was still rocking back and forth, and the ride op had to come out and stop it, and everyone was looking at me, and saying things like "OMG his is still rocking, what did he do?" LOL snapping baby!!, anyway we then went for a ride on the Runaway Reptar, which hurts like heck, oh wait, nevermind its a Vekoma, but wait, Vekoma can make a complicated flying coaster, but in the same park have a sucky kiddy coaster?? Oh well, after that we went back to Thunder Road and rode the forwards side, which is rougher than the backwards side, and took a final spin on Top Gun, then it was time to head home. Overall, it was a fun day, but extremely hot. The park wasn't as crowded as we figured it was going to be, which was great. Borg is a good ride and so is Top Gun. And we recommend not going to Carowinds on a hot day as they don't do a good job to keep you cool. In the Borg line they have two sets of water fountains, which one works but only trickles out and you would have to put your mouth over it to get any water, and the other didn't work at all. They also have mist fans in line, but don't even reach the people in line! But again, we had fun and will probably be back next year.
  3. Wow, sounds like a great time, except for the ride op., but you will usually run into those. What kind of ride is Time Warp? Is it a Swinging Inverter Ship? If so I know what you are talking about, but again, great trip report.
  4. Yummmm Burgerman... http://www.supersizeme.com/burgerman.htm
  5. HAHAHA thats great, lol!
  6. The thing that surprised me when I first rode Drop Zone, is that I thought that the drop would be more of a butterfly-in-your-stomach type of thing, but it turns out it was an overwhelming, intense, jump-into-33*-water intense feeling, and it was great!! Daniel "Just thought I'd share that" Gravely
  7. Thats too bad, I have some great memories from the Great Gasp, at one time it and the Dahlonega Mine Train were the only things I would set foot on.
  8. I am so sorry for your loss, I too miss my Great-Grandparents, as well my Grand-mother who I loved dearly. She was the best cook ever.
  9. Great TR, It looks like a lot of fun. OMG Rescue 911, was like my favorite show, we always used to watch it during dinner, I remember the episode of the girl who got her hand caught in the washing machine, the one who got shot in the playhouse, and the one who sat her baby in scalding hot water and made its skin fall off or something. What a great show lol.
  10. LMAO^ My thoughts exactly!!!! HAHA, Killing cops, stealing cars, and running around with guns, hmmm Johnny will love this!!, OH wait, OMG sex scenes!?!?!?!?!?!
  11. I will stick to the McDonalds, even though what is in their meat might be worse than Fugu poison
  12. Great RTR I am like'n these more and more, once again great trip report!
  13. To me Coke's taste is better, its more crisp, and refreshing, but Pepsi is good when it comes as a fountain drink. Either way though, I think Coke is better, but will drink Pepsi if I have to.
  14. Seeing as this was a case of homicide, then he should be put in jail for at least 20 years. There was no reason that woman should have fell out of the ride. Yea I'm sure he will lose the suit, but he won't pay for it much.
  15. Top Gun at Carowinds, yellow train...
  16. You have to be f**king kidding me, faster then a bloody elevator... amazing. HAHA lol, I was referring to the Sling Shot, as it falls very slowly, haha.
  17. LOL Meister Proper.... wow, YAY I was the only one that I saw today at Carowinds who could snap, when the ride stopped everyone was looking at me because my bucket was still swinging back and forth. I heard someone say "OMG he's still swinging..." Haha like I've done something bad, anyway TOP GUN RULES!!!
  18. Seeing as I've only been on two drop rides, Sling Shot at Family Kingdom in Myrtle Beach, and Drop Zone at Carowinds, I would have to say Drop Zone cause it actually goes faster than an elevator. It's supposedly 174' tall, but only has a 100' drop.
  19. LMAO hahaha 'yield to diaphragms' hahahaha, thats great.
  20. I have never had a meat filled pie, other than chicken pot pie, beef pot pie, etc. sweet ones are by far the most popular in the US, pies are known as desserts, and I guess yall's pies are more of a meal.
  21. Apple Key Lime Strawberry and Banana Creme
  22. Great trip report, do you think the line for DeJa Vu is always that long, or do you think they exaggerate it some? Because everytime its been open they always have the 2 hour long sign out. Oh well, sounds like you had a great time.
  23. Wow, looks like you had a great trip, The Grand Prix is extremely expendsive, I don't know how they have been in business for these what 6 or 7 years now. The Top Star Tour is a fun ride, you just go all the way to the top of your OTSRs and its a little uncomfortable, but other than that a fun ride.
  24. A pirate with a steering wheel attached to his crotch, walked into a bar. The bartender says "Hey pirate, what are you doing with that steering wheel on your crotch?" The pirate replies "I don't know, but it's driving me nuts!"
