  1. O wow all of your pictures are just...I adore them. The ones of Windseaker at night you have on Picassa are just incredible. Keep it up, they're awesome.
  2. ^Yay Bernese! We have 2 Bernese right now, a almost 2 year old puppy named Amos (pictures are a few pages back when he was really a puppy) and an almost 10 year old name Katie Marie. Best dogs ever
  3. I was comparing them as small, useful, city cars. But yes, I will probably always prefer my MINI.
  4. ^^^There have been a LOT of Fiat 500's around the Metro-Detroit area. They're cool little cars, perfect for city driving. My friends mom actually let me drive hers and I liked it, keeping in mind a normally drive a MINI. Personally I would stick with my MINI, cause it seemed a little bit faster and just felt more...fun. That said the Fiat was a nimble little car, not the fastest to 60 but still could play around in 2nd and 3rd while on some twisty roads. Surprising amount of space too. The front 2 seats are comfortable with leg and head room, plus with the rear "2" seats folded a good bit of trunk space.
  5. Am I the only one who laughed? Anyways, be warned- heat never usually keeps the crowds away at all. Hahaha I realized that immediately after I posted that. I laughed so I kept it. Also it was sarcasm about the crowds staying away, guess I should've put a smiley in there .
  6. ^They need to do SOMETHING with Mean Streak. Honestly, I want Cedar Point to tear it down too, but I know it just wont happen. I wanna be hopeful for a New Texas Giant re-do but I don't really see that happening. I would love to be proven wrong. On a side note, me and 3 friends are heading to the peninsula tomorrow for a VERY hot and sweaty day of fun. Hopefully the near record heat will keep the crowds to a minimum.
  7. X scared me pretty bad the first time I rode it. Recently the ride that scared me the most was Slingshot at Kings Island. First time doing one and man was I nervous, I ended up loving it though.
  8. I highly approve of this trip report. As a fellow MINI driver, very nice! I was never the biggest fan of that yellow (I liked the older, brighter one more but hey) but the black bonnet stripes look fantastic as well as the mirrors! Funnily enough, my 2002 MINI just hit 100,000 miles tonight , when I bought it 3 years ago it had 70,000. Happy Motoring!
  9. I absolutely adore this update, thank you so much for posting it. I always have really wanted to visit Tokyo Disneysea/Disneyland, and I really enjoy the "tour" update. Very in depth, great pictures. Thanks TPR!
  10. QFT. Also that area behind where Demon Drop used to be is just parking lot and could easily be re purposed for a ride of some sort. However...this makes me nervous for a parking lot coaster, especially if its a floor-less. It could be exactly like Scream.
  11. Owl City with Matt Kearney and Unwed Sailor at The Fillmore Detroit last night. 3rd time seeing Owl City and it was a great show, very fun and enjoyable. Both opening acts were good and I adore this venue. Overall extremely enjoyable, but not the best show I've ever been to.
  12. Awesome pictures! Not only did I see the hotel me and my family stayed in, but my apartment complex and of course, The Seas where I worked. I miss the college program . Also I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who loves the Polynesian the most out of all the Disney hotels. Its just...I love it .
  13. I believe right after each semester starts in school. Spring applications usually start around October or maybe late September, and Spring applications around February (not positive on this).
  14. Well...I did it my second semester of college, and I'm gonna make up for it over the next few summers. Honestly, and I really do mean this, it was definitely one of the best experiences of my life, and I don't regret falling behind in my schooling at ALL to do it. Take that however you will but I would seriously consider giving up another semester of school to go back.
  15. This is when they stopped training College Program people as pilots. According to my friend who used to work as a monorail pilot the requisite to even get trained as one now is ridiculous. Something like six months experience in transportation plus a super long training program. I don't remember the exact requirements but I remember thinking they were a LOT. ^You will not automatically be placed into something you don't pick, but that doesn't mean they wont offer it to you. To start, I HIGHLY recommend that you pick as many roles as you're willing to do. For me I wasn't willing to do custodial so I didn't pick it, but the more you pick the better chance you have. Also on the phone interview they tend to ask what your preferred role would be, so be sure to mention it then. In regards to your question, if you only picked attractions and merch, and they didn't have room left in either of those positions (they're the two most popular on the college program), they would decline you, but most likely offer you a different position if they like you enough from your interview. Also quick service food and beverage is really not a bad job at Disney, compared to custodial or even merch sometimes it can be better in a lot of cases, but every job has its positives and negatives. For example, merch usually has a pretty easy job (air-conditioned, not overly stressful) but usually gets the worst hours due to stocking and re-shelving. ALSO: if anyone has more questions about the College Program feel free to PM me and I will help you as much as I possibly can.
  16. Colossu's Loop at Nicolandia Center Park?
  17. Is it in Russia? I just want that clarified...
  18. Great Russian Mountain at Wonder Island *EDIT* 900th post!
  19. Is it an indoor or outdoor roller coaster?
  20. ^That makes me want to say Dragon Mountain but I know that goes upside down.
