^They were probably the best, DEFINITELY the scariest. Those things terrified me but I loved them. -
Idk about anyone else, but 0-60 in 3.5 seconds is not even close to being considered slow by me.

^They had a "temporary" bridge there for Halloweekends to get to one of the scare zones, I feel like this one is probably more permanent though. -
I 100% agree. I'm incredibly jealous.

Funny story, I actually was pretty close friends with at The Seas went to temple! I believe I remember her saying the same thing about the gen ed courses, I feel like your GPA is plenty high enough for the program though. -

I will say that your GPA does matter, it is taken into consideration when you apply. That said they are very flexible with what they allow. With all your experience as a lifeguard you have a good shot at getting a lifeguard position (one of the better positions on the program I may add!). Hope that helps! -
Updated to the iPhone 4S as my Xmas present to myself. I love it, and Siri is pretty sweet but doesn't work quite as well as I would've hoped but nevertheless, still awesome.

The Official TPR Bag of Crap Thread!
cprocks22 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My bag of crap is here! Thanks TPR for the awesome crap, I really appreciate it! Now, onto the pictures. I wonder whats in here?! (Yes I already opened it so yes I already know, but play along) O look! Crap! My first guess of what was on this unmarked CD I really shouldn't say on TPR, but turns out I was wrong and its Coaster Expeditions Volume 9! TPR Mints...yumm... Took me a minute to figure out what this was, it's a luggage tag/handle! More crap! All the park maps, I'm particularly thankful for the Disney Sea one! An overview of all the Crap I got. Thanks again to TPR for doing this! Such a cool thing to do for your members. -

^The run in I had with Crush was cause of this little boy. Story time everyone! He had come to Turtle Talk a bunch of times, and this was the last time his family could make it before their trip the next year. He REALLY wanted to talk to Crush but he was very shy and didn't raise his hand till the end of the show each time. His parents asked me before hand if there was any way I could help him talk to Crush, and I gave my usual answer that Crush is busy surfing and I can't get a hold of him before each show. So they sit down in the theater, and as per usual the little boy doesn't raise his hand till the end and as such, doesn't get to talk to Crush. I feel terrible for this boy who is now crying cause his sister got to talk to him and he didn't. I told the family I would try Crush's "shell phone" which only could be used in special circumstances (I was pretty proud of myself for coming up with that on the spot). Crush didn't hear this and just takes this as me calling and ruining the magic, however he does come back and talks to the little boy. The guy that was friends with Crush got upset that I "ruined the magic" by calling, even though it made that little boys and families vacation. However this was really the only problem I had with a friend of Crush, most of the time they're great and a blast to work with. -
Phenomenal pictures! It's really rare to get such high quality pictures of water parks, but these are fantastic! I really enjoyed Aquatica, even though the slides weren't as thrilling as some water parks, the whole atmosphere was wonderful. I wish I could've done Discovery Cove but the price kept me away..some day though.

^ and ^^ FW East represent on TPR! I can see how it would be different at Great Movie ride, I talked to someone that worked there and they said some of the actors were exactly like you said, divas. I only had one small problem with one of the guys that was "friends with Crush", since they're classified under face entertainment, some of them can be rude occasionally. The one situation I had helped out a family, so I was ok with upsetting him in the end. -

^That entirely depends on where you work. At The Seas there were many older full timers that were completely fine with the CP's and they were even some of my favorite people to work with. In all honesty the only person that didn't like me because I was a CP was someone who had just graduated college and was part time there. It all depends. -

I vaguely remember having to sign one when we went but I can't remember for sure, anyone care to confirm/correct me? Nice pictures, this is an awesome place, definitely one of those "never in America" places I wish we had one this side of the pond! Dave If I remember correctly there was a small waiver you had to sign before getting in. Nothing huge, but I do remember signing something. -

I'M EXCITED! My parents just let me know that while I've been away at school I got a package from TPR. My Bag-o-crap has arrived! Next time I'm home I'll be sure to take pictures of it and post it on here! -
Hi all! I recently saw on here that the founder of the City Museum passed away (RIP) and as such I remembered that I had a bunch of pictures to share from when I made a stop back in April. I'll keep this short cause no one reads it anyway: While on the Disney College Program in Florida, the robotics team I was a part of in high school made it to the world championships in St. Louis, so I decided to pay a visit. After the 3 day competition I had a late flight back on Sunday so I decided to kill sometime at the famous City Museum. Unfortunately cause it was April the rooftop section was closed, but honestly that's just an excuse for me to go back. This place is AMAZING, and I don't use that term lightly. It really is just incredible. It's really difficult to describe in words if you've never heard of it, and pictures aren't much better cause they don't offer much justice. I spent around 3-4 hours inside the museum and I didn't even get close to crawling through every little space and hidden passage the place has to offer. I hope to go back to St. Louis again soon, and a big part of that is so I can visit this museum again. If you're ever close, go. Just do it. Unfortunately I didn't take a ton of pictures (none of the upstairs floors ) because I was too busy having too much fun. Definitely a must do for any kids/kids at heart. Yay I made it! Let's get going! Naturally since it was nice out, I went straight for the outdoor section. That's a strange place for someone to park their airplane... A look back down one of the many tubes you had to climb up to get to the planes. This is the high bridge outside, kinda scary looking straight down around 50 ft as this thing sways. A view from said bridge. Sorry for the poor picture, this is looking straight down from the bridge. Yes that is a giant ball pit down there. Looking back up at the airplanes. I didn't try to fit in the bottom part of this bridge...the opening to get in was VERY small. Alright now back inside, this is almost immediately after you walk in. I guess this would be the aquarium area. Another view of this section. No big deal, just some kids climbing above me and the turtle tank. Hmm whats back here... This picture and the next one aren't good pictures, but it gives you some idea of what a lot of the passages are like. This is one of the smaller passages leading to...something. Like I said, but this one is a passage that leads to again...something. Now back in the cave area, this is the home of their 100ft slide that used to be a shoe conveyor. Yes I did it, yes it made me incredibly dizzy. One of many crawl spaces in the cave system. These were the hardest for me cause it was dark and hard to fit. This is the last picture I took as I was heading out. Thanks for reading!

^The battery life is REALLY whats drawing me towards an iPhone, compared to my HTC Incredible right now (which I do like quite a bit) , its a LOT longer.

^I'm due for an upgrade in early January, and I'm leaning towards the 4S, but the price drop on the 4 is extremely tempting...

Price? Space requirements? The fact that almost all of Cedar Point's major rides in the last 11 years have been Intamin? -
Just got back from We The Kings / The Summer Set / Hot Chelle Ray and 2 other bands in Pontiac. It was my second time seeing We The Kings and I'm amazed at how good a show thy put on, so much fun.

^No guarantees...but its my absolute favorite time to go. You still get the nice weather, and when my friend and I went 2 years ago the Wednesday before labor day, we waited the longest for Maverick at a whopping 25 minutes. We managed to get on Dragster 2 times in a row with a 15 minute wait, and Millennium 3 times with a 10 minute wait. Best Cedar Point trip I've ever had.
