I'm reading House of Cards by Michael Dobbs. It's about the most corrupt Chief Whip ever (his job is to prevent all the political sandal in Westmister hitting the press) and how he'll stop at nothing to get where he wants to be - including poisoning his PR guy by switching his coke for rat poison and throwing the journalist he's been secretly giving info to off the top of the Houses of Parliament. It sounds really boring but it's quite good - it was made into a TV series at the start of the 90s and the guy playing Francis Urquhart did an amazing job!

Theme Park Review's "Halloween in Orlando" 2009

Thank you so very very much for a fabulous week! I had a blast, even if you couldn't understand what I was saying most of the time It was fab to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. -
Using mobiles is an endorsable offence here in the UK and I know people who have got penalty points for using their phone while behind the wheel. Although I have been driving for years, I do not use my phone while driving (perhaps very occasionally hands free) and would not even consider texting whilst driving. Maybe I'm guilty of putting lipgloss on (only with the handbrake on at traffic lights when I'm running late in the mornings - sorry Elissa) while I'm driving, I wouldn't show such disregard to other road users as to use my mobile while driving. This PSA is pretty graphic and I first saw it after a friend posted it on FB... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYTXjD_YOPk Em

I love Jupiter too. One year I would love to go to the last night of the proms. I love this as well and I hope the link works as I am not very clever, but it's Elgar - Nimrod. Fantastic.

I am so boring I could send a can of Red Bull to sleep. Here goes... 1. I am terrified of snakes, can't look at pictures of them, get goosebumps and have to get my feet off the floor if there's a snake on the telly just in case there's one under the seat. And I always check the toilet pan in case there's a snake there. I know it's stupid and irrational but I have to! 2. I am a big loser and can lip synch perfectly to Touch Me by Samantha Fox and If I Could Turn Back Time by Cher. 3. I hate my stupid Plymouth accent and have had elocution lessons for the last two years to get rid of it. 4. I had to take my driving theory test twice (the first one ran out!) and my practical four times. 5. I have wanted to join the Royal Navy for about three years and am hoping to apply next year. Told you I was boring!

New Sears Tower Skydeck "Ledge" Opens this week

Wow! I want to go and see Sears Tower and would definitely have a shot at that! -
I know, I am indeed a lucky lucky lady. Although I was disappointed not to see Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes singing 'A View to a Kill' I had to serenade Alexis with it several times before proposing to her at the summit!!!

What have you been hit in the head with?
emily>piers replied to zaneymon's topic in Random, Random, Random
A concrete lintel in my cellar when I've been wearing my heels (I'm 5'5" and can normally walk under it.). Normally I bum about the house bare foot or in flip flops. Someone's fist and it was a mistake!! I was walking across a nightclub dancefloor and a fight broke out between 2 fellas, one took a swipe at the other, missed and cracked me square on the forehead. I spent the rest of the night crying in the toilet with my friend holding an icepack on my head! The obligatory getting out of my car! And a patio door in Orlando -

Touch Me by Samantha Fox. It's so tacky it's good. I feel no shame admitting it anymore either. My Ipod is full of 80s nightmares; Spagna Taylor Dayne Sabrina Salerno

I went to see Girls Aloud last Saturday (May 30th) at Glasgow SECC. My sisters, nephew and I were block AA row A. It was camper than Christmas and the girls were super thin and in desperate need of a fish supper but it was fun! I do think that Glasgow may have sold out of fake tan and nylon hair extensions last weekend though Sumfink kinda ooh!
