  1. Good thinking Batman! I'm amazed your student loan lasted so long! Mine used to last about a week, hence 3 jobs while I was at uni! My nickname was Becky Bloomwood. My student loan is now being deducted from my salary at the princely sum of £14 per month!
  2. ^ no no I'll spare you the two-stepping. Three weeks of term left? Best start eating that tin of kidney beans at the back of the cupboard and the fish-fingers frozen to the bottom of the freezer!

  4. I got booted out Girl Guides for being a rebel, my best friend and I just used to muck about. I also wore my DMs with the uniform and apparently that wasn't the look they were going for. It was the early 90s, I wore my high tops with everything
  5. I collect tacky magnets, the tackier the better. Although my favourite one isn't actually tacky, it's David Hasselfhoff giving it the bird with 'F***Hoff' under it. A M AZING!!
  6. Helly Hansen fleece - £15 6 months Road Fund Tax - £66
  7. I know but I'm sick of looking like a barrel on legs and want to get some nice clothes instead of Demis Roussos' cast offs However, I ate properly at the weekend for the first time since 02 Jan and now have an evil abscess on my gum and am off my work sick. Perhaps I should just give it up!!
  8. All your recipes look amazing but the Tiramisu looks immense. As soon as I finish my diet, I am going to make it. Lush.
  9. It's fine, I haven't taken it as a personal attack, I'm quite resilient. Hey, I get shouted at at work everyday (not by colleagues, by service users with axes to grind). I just wanted to point out that not all the opinions expressed are subjective and it is always going to be a difficult subject which will raise strong opinions for both sides of the argument.
  10. ^cheers Joe. No those are the things I learnt while I was studying too!!
  11. Granted this is a website for coaster enthusiasts and perhaps not necessarily the place for a discussion on capital punishment, not all the statements made are from misinformed people. My bachelors degree is actually in Criminal Justice Studies.
  12. This is always going to be a contentious issue and will always provoke a response. I can understand arguments for both sides of the debate, however, you can not have a blanket policy for capital punishment. Every case should be judged on it's individual merit or lack thereof and proportionality used when deciding the punishment.
  13. A plant for my living room and a bunch of roses for the spare room; my sis is coming down to stay so it needs to look nice! £6.20

  18. Same! I miss you terribly too! And if it wasn't for this evil diet I would have devoured that whole box of chocs by now! I will treat myself to a couple at the weekend whilst reading 'Excel for Thick Shits'! E xxx
  19. I love it Dave! Your trip report had my sides aching with laughter. I don't think I'm hiding from anything, I think I was shielding you all from the monstrosity that is that godawful stripy top. Seriously, I think when I go shopping sometimes I get so overwhelmed by the smell of hairspray, fake tan and nylon it affects my ability to choose nice clothes! It is going in the bucket!
  20. Ha ha ha, good memories! Your pics are fab!
  21. Bigmouth Strikes Again - Placebo
