  1. ^You're more likely to get an answer if you spell check your posts, and don't use 11 question marks.
  2. I'm not positive, but I think this might've been made without improved friction. Good job, solid coaster.
  3. ^I'd have to disagree with that. They don't seem to hype LR that much, and I don't think most the visitors know it exists.
  4. ^^^^In Roller Coasters by Robert Coker, it shows a picture of a tri-railed track design that clearly had tubular steel track, which supposedly operated in 1956. I'm not sure of the credibility of this, but it makes me think that there was probably some tubular-steel track somewhere. I know that the idea wasn't unthought of before the bobsleds, though.
  5. That takes penny-pinching to a whole new level. If you're one of those people who really can't stand plain water, bring powdered drink mix into the park. I think every park will give you a cup of water for free, and then you can mix up a flavored drink for yourself.
  6. I've had an idea like DenDen's, sort of like a cross between a suspended and 4D coaster that spins on a predetermined vertical axis. Also, although this isn't really a new coaster type, I'd love to see Intamin or B&M try their take on the 4D coaster (not a ball coaster, one that spins at predetermined points). It's always seemed like such a great idea that was poorly done.
  7. S:TE was the first to use LSMs, but Outer Limits: Flight of Fear (KD) was the first with LIMs. Jr. Gemini First roller coaster manufactured by Intamin AG.
  8. One word: wow.
  9. I'm sorry to say, Patriots. I don't like the Giants (Eagles fan), but there are very few teams I hate more than New England. And I do give the Giants a shot, it's just a long one.
  10. Anyone can sing when their voice has been computerized. Sometimes it's literally like listening to a robot. I will say though, she hasn't done anything (except maybe those pictures Elissa posted) really stupid thus far, unlike 50% of the others starlets we've seen recently. I'll give her credit, I don't think she's a complete idiot.
  11. Hmmm.... short, poor design, terrible banking, unexciting. In other words, exactly right.
  12. I absolutely love SFGAdv's Flash Passes, but I definitely see the other side of this argument. I hope that Hershey keeps this relatively cheap if they decide to go through with it. It's just unfair to regulars to make them pay another admission (*cough*GreatAdventure*cough*) in order to get in a good amount of rides.
  13. ^Agreed. For such a fast coaster, it's a shame that they chose a company whose others have been so painful. Hopefully this will be the exception to that rule. And who knows?, this could end great. It's still nice to hear there'll be a new 2nd fastest coaster in the world.
  14. Wow! I've got to say, my opinion on Six Flags (especially MM) just completely changed! It's so nice to see a park that seems to realize what matters, and really be willing to lower profits (temporarily) to make their guests happy. Let's just hope this doesn't fall through, and soon MM will be a park where a whole family can go, and have a really good time. It also makes me wish I lived in California. Looks like a really great time!
  15. I guess I read something wrong. Well, that's a nice surprise! Oh, and I'm liking the new direction the park is taking.
  16. With this news, we've got to all ask ourselves: are our roller coasters safe?
  17. I can tell you put a lot of effort into this! It went a little slow through the first turnaround after the drop (would you call it a hammerhead?), and a little fast through some other parts, but for the most part it was nice. The best part was definitely the tunnel was great, easily the best I've ever seen pulled off using NL. Good job!
  18. The worst coaster I've ever been on is probably Sidewinder (Boomerang) at Hersheypark. It's painful just to be near.
  19. ^^^There's some mention of height requirements on Hershey's site, but I'm not sure what to make of it. It says both 54" to 60" and 60", so my guess would be 54" minimum. Don't quote me though.
  20. Before you finish this park, you should have an update that highlights the history of the park. It makes me sad to know this park is nearing it's end.
  21. I just finished RC in the Raw. It delivers perfectly on it's promise, with a really great mix of coasters. The bonus footage was absolutely hilarious. I'll probably get one of the Coaster Expeditions soon (any recommendations?). Also: the TPR mints and pen are a brilliant touch.
  22. Do you or does anyone know what program they used? Also, yes, WT is the tallest and fastest impulse in the world and the only impulse with 2 twisted spikes. Windows Live Maps. It's like Google Earth, except it doesn't suck. And V2 also has a second twist, on a 45 degree angle.
  23. Oh please. If that's real I'm a monkey. No way is that a real, working, water-running water slide. Ha, you're a monkey.
