Just thoguht I'd find out how long you've guys have waited for a ride only to have it close before you got on it. Me and my girlfreind were at Thorpe park on saturday and we'd got collosuss and nemisis inferno out of the way and decdied to go for Stealth. We entered the queue at 2:30 come 5:30 we were still waiting. Come 6:00 we get told the ride was closing due to techincal difficulties. Despite the fact that they then gave us a fasttrack ticket to any ride in the park (which we used for Colosuss again) becasue of all he queing we didnt even get to go on the ride and missed the halloween attractions becasue the queues for them were way to long and we had to be back in London for the ice bar at 12:30. So yer pretty annoying despite the fact that we got the fasttrack pass. So yer whats the longest you've waited in line to be told the ride has closed? Cheers 89James89

^Correct me if I'm wrong but I/m pretty sure thats just a green pepper not a jalepeno lol. Your park looks nice and is developing well and I liek the reaslsitic approach to it with the liek of not introducing massive new rides each year and just tweaking the small park till it can affrod new stuff. Looks amazing robbie. I love the look of the area but agree with some of the comments over at NE (I'm TwistedHelix over there) that the theme was a bit confusing at first. Confusing themes aside the actual exacution looks amazing. I love the use of bobsled track as canopies and the realisticness of the station itself though I reckon form a practical pov it could use a covering of some sort. The actual square is also amazing. The sheer amount of detail in it without making it overbearing and still practical from a realistic and peep usuable pov is amazing. The foiliage is what got me at first when I saw that you were using both normal foliage (as in like Pines and Cedars) and then having Temperate (in the form of Palm trees and shrubs and the such) I thought it wouldnt look good at all together and would clash horribly but I was wrong and the more I look at it the more the theme park feel is present as you've managed to literally take us into another world and still shown us where we are by the normal foliage. All in all my favourtie piece of work at NE and here atm and am very much looking forward to you continuing and completing this. Cheers 89James89 -
Replies: DBru: Thanks Steffen_DK: Thanks and yer I actually dont mind the cookie building or the in game donuts stand. KPWoCkAxX: Thanks and I dont visit a lot of aprks either (like 1 or 2 a year) but pcitures on internet help and I tend to do a lot of research for the realism content wheil building. Not much to show you here just the company logo which a few of you may have seen before but I was wondering what the rest of you think. Cheers 89James89 EDIT: Just realsied the image is ona white background. I will rectify that as soon as possbile so its blends in with the forum background (in other words turn the white to grey).

Well yer I've been working ont this park for the last week or so but its been going slowly. Uncle Freds Fun Park is being put on hold for a bit because I've always wanted to trya a plain amusement park and I have tried many times but could never get the right feel unitl now. So anyway yer this is the new park. So far we'll have to make do with the press release below but expect more soon. Oh and I'm not sure wether to do it in phases or seasons but oh well we'll figure that out later. Press Release: A newly formed company running under the name of Happy Times Park Group (HTPG) is happy to announce today that construction on their premier park is going well and they would liek to share some of the initial looks with you. This new park named Small Oaks Amusement Park will hopefully be the first steps in this company becoming a well known name here in the UK and the director is keen for its success. The park has confirmed it will be opening with two rollercoasters but as to what they are or look like is being kept secret for the time being. What we do have to show you however are these pictures of the entrance and ticket booths. So enjoy and comment and we'll see you soon. Ticket booths: From the carpark: And a entrance area overview. Please note this is still WIP and the merry go round has yet to be painted: So there we go hope you enjoy the first looks. Cheers 89James89 (NOTE: Like most of my parks this is no cs)

Replies: upside down: Thanks Season 5 off season update. Well we visited my Cousin around christmas this time and the park seems to be in full swing with construction. The area around Timber Terror is the focal area for this with amssive foundations signifying something big. These are the photos I got for you, firstly of the cranes you see as you enter the park. Moving closer you can see lots of foundations as these two pictures show. Well thats all the expansion looks like its going to be really cool but we'll have to wait to see what it is. Till next time. Jeremy Pelen. (OOC: There ya go massive foundations. Cheers 89James89)

Season 5 end of season trip report Well here we are and tiem for this season to come to a end with our last visit. I've decided to end the trip reports this year with a small coaster technicals speacil but lets get some normal photos out of the way first. Ladybird looking good as usual. So is the Cage. Now onto the coaster shots. Firstly the station and train shot. Then a look at the maintenance buildings and yes I do have permission to be back here. And the last photo of this operating season the transfer track. There you go hope you enjoyed the photos this year and I hope some of you visited the park. Till next time. Jeremy Pelen (OOC: There ya go and I've decidied to let you do any trip reports you may want to (still try to keep the pciture count down in them) till season 7. Cheers 89James89)

Replies: DBru: Thanks so much for doing the trip report for me even though it dosent have pictures I still like it and am glad you did it. I think you got the conversion rate form $ - £ wrong though if it was originally $3m then that would be about £2m (probaly less) with conversion rates. I think it came to abotu £2.5m overall though. CloneCaptian38: Thanks. About the tracks if you mean a couple of updates back then it was pathing foundations. If you mean in the preivew update then the only ones that looked like supports in the ground would be the brakrun photo which would be the transfer track system. Thelegendarymatthew: Nope you were wrong with the coaster manufacturer its Intamin AG and a smaller version based on Elf. I also dont see what was wrong with his trip report I didnt demand photos. I said it would be preferable but he didnt have to and I'm happy with it. Season 5 mid season update (OOC: and aprk file realesed) Well we visited today for the second time this season and this time I made sure I got all of the stuff that I missed in the first couple of trip reports. Firstly heres the ticket prices for this season. Now going into the park some random photos starting with a shot of the mainstreet. This area is always pretty busy. (oh and yes it did rain all day long though not enough to close the rides) A picture of the main rides area with yes you guessed it Rocky Falls in the background. A shot from acroos the lake of Timber Terror descending the first drop. And finally this season map. Well thats all for now join me next time. Till next time. Jeremy Pelen (OOC: Well heres what you've been waitng for the download link. http://www.savefile.com/files/1768487 To extract just use any unzipping program (I use 7-zip its free and easy just yahoo or google it to get the rpogram). The billbaords are included so should work but if not you have the folder so just link them to it in the game as normal. I'd love for you to do trip reports but I'd prefer it if you could keep the photos to 3 each at maximum. Other than that enjoy and any problems pm me. Cheers 89James89)

Replies: Thelegendarymatthew: Thanks and why suprised? Preview day and first visit trip reports. Well I've just returned form the first full day visitng the park on full opening hours and it was great. I also got to go to the preview day but as the internet has been down for a bit where I live the update for the preview day has had to wait for now. Anyway onto the preivew day update. Well it was great fun being able to ride then reride the parks best ride by far and only serious rollercoaster was great. Heres the pcitures I got for you all. Firstly this is the new entrance to the area with Timber Terror. The queue entrance were gettign closer to the first ride now. Finally for all you lift hill enthusiasts. Going down the first drop this was actually quite intense. And back around. And finally the break run back into the station. The ride itslef was brilliant and I'm sure will help to get this park off its feet and into a more thrilling era but onto the second part of this update. First visit trip report. Well we couldnt make it for the opening day again this year but as I'd been tot he preview it wasn't a big deal. The first thing you notice when you arrive is the entrance buidling. Being quite small this was pretty busy at opening time as you can see. Movign into the park no changes to the mainstreet this season so I decided to have a look around and get some random photos for you all. Firstly the obligatory Rocky Falls photo. And the ever present ladybird with huge queues as usual photo. (Yes this park does have a lot of families). Lots of people over by the animals today. Most of the rest of the rides can be seen from here. Word has it that the reliablility of some of these rides is beginning to show though. Well hope you liked them both. The park will be open for the rest of the season so why not pop in and have a look. Till next time. Jeremy Pelen (OOC: There ya go the first trip report of seaosn 5. Next update will hopefully be after the trip report by the preview day ticket holder has been doen so the park file link can be realeased. Cheers 89James89)

End of Season report Well this season has been the most successful yet what with the construction of the new rollercoaster bringing people in just to see how the progress is going. We hope however that the nexty season will ber a lot more busier and as such have decided to make the park one price instead of pay pr ride next year. Well this is what my Cousin sent me. Looks like next seasons additions are set to really change the park for the better and I cant wait. Till next time. Jeremy Pelen. (OOC: Well thats it for this update. I've decided to let the preview ticket requests continue till I've posted the off season update. Cheers 89James89)

Replies: Team Thriller: Thanks and I'm really glad you like the coaster and the park so much. I'm not sure why you cant use downloads on Vista I have Vista ultimate and I can download fine. Strange. DBru: Thanks and your application is noted. CloneCaptian38: Thanks and I'm sure your wooden coaster is just as good. I checked out your park for you and left you a comment and I'm sure it'll be a good as mine soon. Season 4 Late Season trip report Well Jeremy here for another trip report. Looks pretty nice that coaster looks epic. I however really dont like the bottom half of the walls on the buildings they look way to flimsy to me and I reckon just using the in game walls would be fine (the ones you've used for the top of the buildings). Can't wait to see whats next though if possible could you turn the graphic settigns up top make your pictures better quality. Cheers 89James89 -
Replies: SFJunkie2010: Thanks and you dont have to wait much longer now. KPWoCkAxX: Thanks and I'm from Devon in England. doublex98: Thanks. Season 4 update: Brilliant News Well I can now say I'm really looking forward to next season. This morning I recieved a e-mail form my Cousin contianing some very exciting information and cool pictures. This information is regarding the construction sight you may remember from the last update. Well I can now officially announce that a new Wooden coaster is coming to Uncle Freds Fun Park. 'From the proposed public announcment for the ride' Timber Terror is set to become the tallest ride in the park. Designed by the same people as Rocky Falls, Intamin AG this new ride which is based around a compact and less expensive version of thier Elf coaster at Hirakata park in Japan will be the parks single biggest investment to date but will surely be worth it. I also recieved these two concpet art pictures and this construction site photo in the e-mail. And the construction site photo. Now for some more good news. I have recieved 5 tickets forthe preview day for Timber Terror in season 5. Now Iwill be keeping 2 of these for my brother and myself which means 3 are left up for grabs. As this blog is posted on 3 different sites then it measn 1 person from each site will be able to attend this preview day and be the first to ride the new Timber Terror ride as well as the rest of the parks rides. All you have to do to be in with a chance of gettign this ticket is be willing to do a trip report and post it here. To help me choose pplease post here if your interested and the ticket will be given based on several things such as input into the blog so far, wether I reckon you will do the trip report etc. So get posting your request now I'll be taking them up until this tiem tommorrow where the decision will be made and a pm will be sent. Till next time. Jeremy Pelen (OOC: There ya go hope you like the looks of this. Regarding the tickets please oinly ask if your genuinly up for doing a trip report and if after you've recieved the download link for any reason you can't do it let me know as soon as possible. (alternatively if you'd rather I e-amiled you the file pm me your e-mail address and I'll do it that way). Also as this is a no cs park anyone with BOTH WILD AND SOAKED EXPANSION PACKS will be able to run the park to full effect. For everyone who dosent make it dont worry to much the park is going up for download next season after the preview day anyway I just wont be needing the trip reports. Cheers 89James89)

Replies: cinciDAWGS12: Thanks and a wooden coaster you say hmmm. KPWoCkAxX: Yer I love the round up raides we have one at the fair here where I live every year. In fact I'll probaly be on one tonight as its Carnival night and the fair is in town anyway. Alcohol and fairground rides. This should be fun. Kalepi_Konei: Dont worry I've called the mem in white caots I swear there comign to take you to a park full of aquatrax honest.. Season 4 Mid Season Update. Right I'm back from the park today with really excitingb and puzzling news. I could let you now what the news is now but first I'll get the photos that I took out of the way. We arrived quite late and it wasn't soon till it started to get dark so I took the time to get some night time shots which I haven't done in a while for you all starting with the oldest rides in the park. This place really does look nice at night. The racing slides also looks really nice at night heres a pov photo. This is the newest additions to the park in one night filled shot looking really cool if you ask me. And finally I took this one while leaving the park. Look at all the guests! Now anyway onto the news. While wandering around the park I noticed the path next to the horses that usually leads to a field was all fenced off. Now I asked my Cousin about it and he told me it was a secret and that he couldnt tell me about it so it must be something speacil. He didn't however say that I couldnt take a look my own way so I climbed the wooden fence for the horses and leaned over the fences to see this. Wonder whats going on. It looks fun though. Anyway heres a season 4 map which defenitely shows the above observations. Well till next time. Jeremy Pelen. (OOC: There you go now theres something else for you all to speculate over. Cheers 89James89)
