Please don´t get me wrong, when I say I support this show. You can see Restaurant-openings everyday and everywhere. There are people opening their own restaurants without having any Ideas of how to do their business, they don´t know how to prepare a meal, how to serve guest the right way and how to run a company. They never had a culinary or hospitality education or a entrepreneurial training. Most of those restaurants go out of business two or three months later because the run out of money, leaving desillusionated employes and former "entrepreneurs". But one thing which is much more worse is, they destroy the good image of the honest and industrious Gastronomes. Running a restaurant is much more than just sitting around, drinking wine or champagne with guests and just making the big money. It´s mostly 16-18 hours of work a day, sometimes 7 days a week, you can´t plan from one hour to another because some bullshit always happens, you have to be innovative, you bear the responsibility for your guests and your employes, .... Believe me, I had a lot of sleepless nights when I opened my first restaurant, asking myself "Am I doing the right thing?", "Why was there so less business, tonight?","Can I pay the wages this week?"... . I spent nearly the whole day and the whole night at the company to get it running, I neglected my wife and my daughter (we were just married for 2 years and our first child was half a year old.) and my marriage was nearly about to fail. Those 4 months were really a hard time. I lost lots of "friends", but the good thing about this was, the friends I kept as friends and that helped me mastering those days, I know now that they are real friends you can count on EVERYTIME!!! Now, I make good money, but that means a lot of work, a real big amount of work and responsibility every day. There are days, I see my kids only when I bring them to the Kindergarten in the morning and there are days when I´m totally burned out but I know I HAVE to work!!! Gordon Ramsay and FOX help with this show to destroy the Illusion that running a restaurant is earning money without hard work and without any culinary education. And for this, I´m very, very thankful

Oh yes, an R8 would be a real nice rental, the only problem is, I needed a waggon or a SUV, because we use that car for the company and when something went out, you have to go to the grocery-wholesale or you have to obtain other stuff like flowers or that. ...and the second reason for a car with a huge trunk: My wife needs really much space in the car when she and her sister go shopping (Those women won´t believe me that shopping isn´t any kind of high performance sport, where you can win a gold medal when you come home with tons of stuffed shopping bags and a 6 feet long credit card statement... ).

Hey, I really enjoyed your website. The lay out is very clear and the dark blue calms and doesn´t distract from the real content like bright colors would do, so, in my opinion, don´t change that colour. About the itinary:It´s easy to navigate (with the month-by-month tabs on the right side.) and the pictures are really great, they make your stories come out much more visually. So all in all, a really great job. Gerd

^ + ^^ Thanks for your replies, guys! Yes, luckily no one was severely hurt. Just came back from the Audi-Dealer, because he gave us a Rental Car as long as it takes until the new one is delivered, and man, that car really kicks a$$: An Audi RS6 5.0 TFSI quattro. Will make a pic and post it later that day.

"Ride on Time" hit the charts in October ´89 here in Germany, that was the time when I started to visit Clubs and Discotheques (here in Germany you can go to Clubs at the Age of 16, accompanied by an adult, in my case that was my elder sister!) and that´s one of that songs that makes me remind of great times I had back in those days!

That´s why I hate Mondays: This Monday, my wife and me were on the way to the company in my wife´s car. After we dropped off the kids at the Kindergarten, I had to stop at the traffic lights. All of a sudden, a Toyota Corolla, who had to stop at the lights too, began to accelerate, hit a VW Passat first and crashed then frontal in our car. Thanks to god nobody was seriously injured, the Corolla-driver has some broken ribs, as much as I know, the woman in the Passat was just shocked, but not injured, my wife got a light catapult trauma, I only sprained my wrist. Imagine, the Driver in the Corolla (a 19 Year old Student from the local university) was totally drunken, and that at 8.30 a.m.. ... the Riceburner and the Passat were totally scrap. Our car didn´t look very damaged at all for me , it looked like that the only things we need are new lights, a new front-bumper and mudguards, a new bonnet and a little bit of refinishing. To create a report for the insurance-company, the ADAC (comparable to the AAA) towed the car to my Audi-Dealer. ...and then, today, the shock in the morning: Audi gave me a phone-call to tell me that the car is totally scrap: Damaged frame! So, in the picture below you can see a 3 month old piece of expensive scrap. I ordered a new one today, same engine, same equipment but other rims (22 inch with tyres 275/45 R20) and other colours (outside white, inside dark-brown). When I bought the now crashed Q7 last November, I payed about 3200,- Euros ( 4200,- U$) more than I´ll have to pay for the new one (FOR THE SAME CAR!!!!!!), the prices for new cars are falling and falling! The only bad thing is: We´ll have to wait about 5 weeks for delivery... ...very expensive piece of scrap!

Six Flags New Park Map For 2009 Season
gerd.muller replied to jps294's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I just compared the SFGAM Park-map from ´92 with the actuall one, .....difference like day and night! Really like the new design and the organized look, I think it´s much easier to find the way to a SF-Park this season. -
