Im hoping for a ride similar to nitro as well. No MCBR is going to keep the ride intense!! The only thing I was kind of hoping for was for the first drop to be more similar to AC with the dip and straight track. It seemed like we took the first drop much faster compared to Nitro because of the way ACs first drop was designed.

Yeah, there really isnt any consistancy, especially between the different companies. Isnt Hyper just the way Arrow classifies their tall non-loopers? B&M and Intamin both seem to classify their 200ft+ (in intamins case 200-299ft) inversionless coasters as 'Mega.' Alot of the elements between companies are the same, just different names for them. I guess there really isnt a major need for more consistancy, but it would be nice. Hyper is just the easiest way to describe a tall non looping coaster no matter what the company. EDIT: And before someone says it, No, Sheikra isnt a Hyper.. Its a Dive Machine.

First drop is 170ft? Much shorter than everyone speculated, but still rocks. Cant wait to see the video (at work now, cannot watch it) but the pictures look nice!! CANT WAIT!!!! -Imhotep

I just saw on the news.. over 5 dollars in ATL for the CHEAP stuff!! That gas station had to be by the airport or something, usually gas is more expensive by airports.

Im probably going to be trading in my gas hog this week, Im sure going to miss it though . gas prices are rediculous!! $44 dollars got me just under 3/4 of a tank!! Granted I have to use 93 octane, but thats still rediculous.

I saw this on fox news last night too.. actually, I saw a snippet of it on A Current Affair. The shot with the boomerang and batmans loop visible was the shot I saw. Very sad. elissa: Sorry your VeComas werent destroyed.

I just caught a glimpse of SFNO on the show A Current Affair.. They showed Batman and the Zydeco Scream boomerang, and it was a crazy site.. everything is flooded, the buildings in front of the coasters are submerged. there is 0 visible land in the shot I saw. I feel so bad for everyone that has gone through Katrina. We thought we had it bad in FL... This is insane.

^agreed. I applaud them, especially since they arent closing the park due to poor attendance. Sometimes you got to just move on, and Im glad to see they were able to keep their family establishment open for so long, especially in the competative tourism market central FL has.

Last night I got the hankerin for some MK action also, except my hankerin was for Mortal Kombat II . Must have played it forever last night!! anyway, back on topic.. Glad to see theres other people out there that visit a park right before it closes! I did that once, went to IOA just to ride DD about 45 min before the park closed. It was kind of weird going there so late!

You havent seen it?? What are you doing? whatever it is, stop doing it, and go rent the movie now! Its so good. The dialouge between the main characters can be a tad cheesy at times, but overall the whole movie, premise, storyline is amazingly creepy!

I would assume as long as you are 48" tall, you can ride no problem.

alot of things are possible in the movie.. keep in mind whatever they decided to to will probably be very far fetched and blown way out of proportion.. With that in mind, it sucks to say but I think a rollercoaster is an excellent 'killer' . It will definately be effective on the GP, whom most of the time are glad they are still alive after riding a big coaster for the first time. a little off topic, but I am really looking forward to this movie the most.

Alright. So I stopped and got myself a bottle of Pitch Black II, and like alot of movies, the original was way better than the sequel. Its funny, I havent had pitch black in a while of course.. But the second I opened the bottle, I remembered exactly what it tasted like, which I thought was odd.. but anyway.. How dissappointed was I when the 'Kick of Sour' kicked my taste buds in the effing face. The aftertaste of the sour lingered in the back of my throat for about an hour, an aftertaste so strong not even Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper could cure it. I figured, maybe if I give it a few more sips Ill be ok. But I was wrong. I only hope they dont taint Code Red with this sour crap. Grape Grog is pretty good stuff, definately the best Sobe flavor IMO, but for some reason it gives me a stomach ache when I drink it. Actually, pretty much all Sobe gives me a stomach ache. I dont know why.

If you guys end up having time, let me know, We want to try to go to both this year (never been to HOS). Theres a big red beemer calling your names.. you should listen! Maybe I should look into MNSSHP instead? Considering the little one that might be fun for him. Probably pretty expensive. What did you like most about it when you went? well, coasters are kind of like transportation, except they dont take you anywhere. I see what you are saying though.

My hero was Neil Peart... probably the same as any other drummer. I remember listening to Rush records when I was a kid, and all I wanted to do was learn how to play drums like that. I also used to think 'man, that old lady has a great voice!' It wasnt until I was about 12 that I leared that Geddy Lee wasnt an old woman!
