What exactly is an Aquatrax?
RIP Psyclone replied to kraken613's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It really seems to be nothing more than a steel coaster that "kinda goes near water, and maybe makes a splash." Yet somehow it has become its own category of coasters, even though there is only one. The fact that it is on a track the entire time I feel makes it even less noteworthy than the JTA family of rides. -

Phantom's Revenge: When they replaced the original Arrow track of the 2nd drop with Morgan track, what exactly did they do? If you compare pictures they look identical. Was it really worth tearing up Thunderbolt? -

No, but her father is on the trip. So you will really have to use your imagination with those pictures. As Cartman says, "Son of a..." How could he go and not take her? -

SFKK and HW on the same day? Yeah, it's doable. -

Oh, and Tokyo is 16 hours ahead of Los Angeles, so as it's 4:13pm 8/31 here it's 8:13am 9/1 there. -

Yes! This will mean new Hoffman girl pictures. She *IS* on the trip, right? -
Nice pics. Definately off the beaten path of most CP TRs. I wish SFMM still had an Enterprise.

Canobie Lake - Photo TR - 8/22/07
RIP Psyclone replied to Canobie Fan's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Canobie Lake, like Kennywood, seems to be the kind of park that is missing on the west coast. Plus, it has my favorite non-coaster type ride, a skyway! -
^ Oh yes, and I've been to New York New York and even stayed at Sahara, but haven't been on either of the coasters. I've been to the top of the Stratosphere when the High Roller was still open, but whether or not I rode it is a little fuzzy. Definately been on Canyon Blaster and Desperado, though. Go Arrow!

^^ Yes! Non-German Tom in the heezy. However, to truly be a missed credit, you have to have visited the park. I live in So Cal, and since I've never intended to visit Adventure City, as Tom didn't, I don't count the coasters there as missed credits. Same as the Santa Monica pier. Or Legoland (though I might be missing out).

As for me, I have never been on Mulholland Madness at DCA. I don't know why. Also, Deja Vu at SFMM, although I am borderline too tall. However, knowing who works there, I don't think I (or anyone) would have been bounced. Update: 9/11/07: I finally got the Mulholland Madness credit. 10/30/07: I got the Deja Vu credit, but I missed, again, the Canyon Blaster credit.

Do you think the author meant sad as in unhappy or as in pathetic? Heh. -
Flashback Truly Gone?
RIP Psyclone replied to Axman's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Flashback was never my favorite ride at SFMM, but I liked it. I remember my first ride...back then I was shorter, so I couldn't even see over the row in front of me completely. I didn't know it was a relocated ride; I figured it was brand spanking new for MM. Although it has no inversions, my friend tried to sell me on the ride by saying that it appears to be "almost completely upside-down." No, Dave, overbanked turns and curves are NOT inversions, hehe. Anyway, so although I remember my first ride on it, I wish I remembered my last. Had I known it would be, I would have remembered the event. -chris "flashback wasn't all that bad" smirnoff
