My eyes hurt!

^You're posting on an internet forum... My parents don't even know these things exist... Don't play the age card with me. Besides, you're only as old as the girl you feel! *wink wink nudge nudge*

As much as that link was to kindof a cool story, this thread totally didn't live up to the title of "PORN... The Ride!". I was totally expecting something different... :? Probably says a lot about the way my mind works.

Spell Checker on Google Toolbar!
Louise replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ok well Robb, you have a green dot on my screen right now, but Guy's is grey, and according to the main screen you're online and he's not so... I'm thinking my guess was correct? Whoo, gold star for me! Louise "I feel special now!" R. -
I did have over 7500 but I had a ruthless binfest the other day and now I only have 5886. I had so much crap I never listened to so... It went. But now I miss it!

Wow, some people REALLY like ferris wheels... :?

^ I THINK... Maybe... People who are currently online have a green dot, those who aren't have a grey one. Is this right? Can't be bothered going back to the main screen to check my theory. I use a Mac but I don't have this... :? -
^ But look on the bright side, in a mere 8 months and 3 days you'll be riding coasters in the UK! Who needs stupid US coasters?! (just kidding guys)

Universal Florida Help

^ Good story! Don't touch the lima beans though... Ugh! It all comes down to fight or flight. The adrenaline starts pumping in your body and you either get scared half to death or you get excited about the ride. If you feel yourself getting scared, try as hard as you can to turn it into excitement, think about how many thousands of people love the coasters, and hey, how can people as cool as the people on this board be wrong?! If you manage to turn your fear into something positive, you'll have no problem getting onto the ride, then once you're strapped in just sit back and think about how great it's gonna be! Turn it into happy thoughts! As someone else said, try and get on a coaster early when the line is short, it gives you far less time to stand around waiting and letting yourself get all worked up. Get to the park before opening and run straight to the nearest coaster as soon as you get in. You'll be fine, good luck. -

Aero-clouts...!! LMAO! Not sure whether the slang that makes it funny is lost in translation... I'm getting some weird mental imagery that I'm not sure I like! :? -
Why Do You Love Theme Park Review?
Louise replied to PhishyBrewer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wally's having a BUMPFEST!! Most boards have neither great admins or great posters... A few sites have one or the other, but this is one of very few sites I know of that have both. R & E do a great job running the site, and as a general rule everyone here is respectful of each other, gets the banter, and just enjoy being here! Like Soren said however many months ago, there's so much diversity here, different ages and countries... but it works! I think the key to it all is the sense of humour. This site doesn't take itself too seriously. Which is awesome! -
When I was a kid my whole family loved coasters, but my mum has a bad back that's easily jarred now and so hasn't ridden a coaster in at least five or six years. My brother still enjoys them but his girlfriend doesn't so he doesn't ride. Most of my friends enjoy coasters to the extent that they'll go for a day at Alton Towers and rave about Nemesis and Air but they don't understand the need to travel... Alton being our nearest big park, they don't see the point in going any further afield, which is why I haven't visited most UK parks, I don't like to travel alone.

Robb, you crack me up, and I think it's great that you guys can take the piss out of yourselves (and everyone else, of course! ), but I have to ask, what the hell would you do if it turned out that one of the people you'd made comments about started posting on the site?! "Hi, I'm Shamu, I was pictured with Elissa in San Diego in 2005... I am offended by the implication that I consume too many churros and eat small children as between meal snacks..." Eek!! And personally I find the patch-jacket slamming much more offensive than the fat jokes, I think those things are coming back into fashion and should be given the respect they deserve... -
Brian: I'm not the Messiah! Will you please listen? I am not the Messiah, do you understand? Honestly! Girl: Only the true Messiah denies His divinity. Brian: What? Well, what sort of chance does that give me? All right! I am the Messiah! Followers: He is! He is the Messiah! Brian: Now, f*ck off! [silence] Arthur: How shall we f*ck off, O Lord? Also, the whole "we are no longer the knights who say ni, we are now the knights who say eki eki" etc etc scene. And the dead parrot sketch. And everything else!! Sorry!! Can't limit it to one! I'll stop now! :? I love Monty Python!

How many coasters have you been on?
Louise replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm only at about thirty at the moment, most of them ridden several times (always going to the same places!) but if everything goes to plan I may have anything up to 115 by the end of 2006... Busy year coming up. -

^ Lol, the falling in water part is closer to the truth than you can imagine... I'm the clumsiest person who ever lived, on average I trip over/drop things etc about five times a day... I'm a danger to myself! "This is Louise with her foot stuck in a grid", "This is Louise hitting her head on a shelf"... Oh God, I'm not gonna survive the whole ten days. :? But at least you'll be there to keep a record of my injuries! Keep us posted on the construction on your street Soren! -
Does your talent also involve putting a leg behind your head...?! lol!

I'm looking forward to meeting you (and your camera) on the UK trip next year anyway, I can imagine it now: "This is someone cleaning the floor at the airport", "This is my shoes getting wet in a puddle at Thorpe Park"... You can take THOUSANDS of random photos on a ten-day trip, lol! -
Which part?!?!

I'd love to know what your neighbours think of you randomly walking around your street taking construction photos and pictures of your shoes... "Aah, there goes young Soren taking pictures of sand and holes again..." -

Soren, your random photo TRs are never boring, I really look forward to them, especially when they feature food! That meal looks yummy, although maybe not as nice as the desserts you had at your grandmother's (?) a couple of months ago! Your baby cousin's so cute! I notice you're drinking beer out of a HUGE Disneyland glass... Ya big drunk! -
^^ What do you have to write an essay about? The system's somewhat different over here.
