  1. Hmm, I think she is 24 years old and her english was not bad at all. I mean my portuguese is worse. So, for any other info I need to charge you a fee. (Hmm, it looks like I could make money with connecting american singles with brasilian girls...) --Soren
  2. Haha, I can tell you that she has no boy friend at all, right now! Shari, we only told our family and near friends that we got engaged, but thanks for the congrats. I am happy to have her in my life and enjoy every day we can spend together. The ghetto Small World ride was really scary and the song was even worse. --Soren
  3. Pssst, I got the info from RCDB, but don´t tell anyone else! --Soren
  4. I don´t know if it is the King Kobra, but Katapul originally opened at Kings Dominion in 1977. Then the coaster went to the Jolly Roger Amusement Park for 2 years from 1987 to 1989. After that the coaster went to Alton Towers till it came to Hopi Hari in 1999. --Soren
  5. Yes, Katapul (or do you want to call it: Thunderlooper or King Kobra) really made it around the world in the last 30 years. Actually I am not a big fan of these shuttle loop coasters, so for me it was not bad at all. I have no idea if the coaster is better or worse then it was as "Thunderlooper" at Alton Towers!? But hey, it looks like you have been on the coaster as well, at Alton Towers, right? --Soren
  6. Photo-TR: Hopi Hari + Wet´t Wild in Sao Paulo, Brazil My First Theme Park In Brazil (+ I Burned My Neck) - Part 1 Hey everyone, I can not really remember when I posted my last PTR from a theme park visit? It feels like years. But finally I had the chance to visit a theme park here in brazil. My fiance (it is still strange to say that) and I left Sao Paulo for the christmas days to relax without any bad traffic and any smog at all. We were driving to a nice city (Campinas) around 2 hours away. The good thing, there was a Wet´n Wild water park and the Hopi Hari theme park near by the hotel. We could use a free shuttle to visit both parks and I finally could ride some coasters in brasil, which was even better. Part 1 - Hopi Hari: After spending a long time at Disney, isn´t it very easy anymore to not compare every other theme park with a Disney park. But since I have not been to a theme park for a long time, was everything fine. The park was kind of empty, which was great for us. The overall theming was nice and the park was clean. We right made our way to the first and biggest attraction, a wooden coaster. There we were staying nearly 1 hour in the sun, to finally ride the coaster. They were only running 1 train, which was the reason for the long waiting time. The ride itself was not feeling very good. My lapbar was not really closing and I was holding on to it the whole time, to stay in the seat. I really thought Gwazi at Bush Gardens was the worst wooden coaster I have been to, but this one was worse. Anyway, after that horrible ride we got 3 more coaster, a shuttle loop, a kiddie powered coaster and a indoor spinning coaster. Except the wooden coaster was everything okay. We also spend some time on the river rapids to cool down for a while. So, in total I got some new credits and burned my neck, what a great day! --Soren Thanks for reading, more is coming, soon! and here? Yes, where is everyone? After all that we made our way back to the entry, but what is missing here? Yes, with a dancing german couple! ugh Outdoor part... Will the ride ever end? ... with a horrible song! Yes, it was worse than the origianal. ... in a very scary and cheap version... ... It´s a small world after all, it´s a small world after all... Hmm, this really looks like... Alerta! Please stand up while riding and throw your glasses and cameras into the water. Thanks! Ahhh, Kastel Di Lendas... What? Boats in a canal? Hmm, what is that? Which was closed for the lunch break of the employee...!? Never had that before at a park. Anyway, we come back later. Next Billi Billi There they had a nice dancing show. A Saloon, let´s check it out. was kind of empty today. The Wild West... ... Yes, we enjoyed the ride. ha ha ... ... Rio Bravo, to cool down. Sesam street fountin. up there and back. through the loop. Katapul. The loading station. The ride was not bad at all, up to the next one. Uhh, someone needs to cut his nails. Vurang. Okay, here is the next one... 1 Million question: Who finds the sponsor of the park in this picture? Nice theming here. After that horrible ride we made our way to the next coaster. I think it looks better, than it actually was. The train in action. Lifthill shot The loading station. Ahh, there is the coaster and a long line, waiting for it. They are also still happy and looking forward. That is what I am looking forward to. (I was thinking that at this point) rondom photo point. Park Map. No, La Tour Eiffel. Tower of Terror? The main street. Hmm, looks more european style here. A friend of Alessandra visited the park with us. There we are, the entrance. and Hopi Hari. Next morning and the view to both parks / Wet´n Wild and Hopi Hari. Anywhere there is the water park... Our hotel for the next couple nights.
  7. ^ Rick, the Scuba Diving thing is awesome, I also made it 2 times. It is funny to see all the other guest waving at you. John, thanks for sharing the pictures with us. I have been there a few times at the VIP room and it brings back some good old memories to see the pictures. --Soren
  8. The cake looks great, I would take a piece. I really enjoyed this PTR, good job, Jahan and thanks for posting. --Soren
  9. (Music) Nick Pitera / fake or real? You decide... Some girls would pay a lot to have a voice like that. Hey guys, I found these 2 videos on youtube. This guy, Nick Pitera is singing 2 Disney songs, which he send to the "Give Us Your Voice Contest". Since he is a guy he never really had a chance. Anyway, he is singing in really high ranges and it sounds not bad at all. I am sure some girls would pay a lot to have a voice like him. In the Aladdin video he is singing the male and the femal part of "A Whole New World". The first time I saw the video I thought he is faking the whole thing, but now I am pretty sure it is really his voice. However, decide by yourself if he is good or not... A Whole New World - Aladdin Part Of Your World - The Little Mermaid --Soren
  10. This really sucks. I hope your son is doing fine and you all will have a blast at WDW. Maybe I should come over and tell the kids who have been so bad with your son, how real Mickey is... After that they will never again say any bad word about Disney! --Soren
  11. You are right, John. I also saw a lot in the 15 month I have been working there. So, Disney would not do that, if there is not a good reason. --Soren
  12. What an awesome Photo-TR in the typically "Wes" style. It includes a picture from Epcot´s Germany and with that one you made my day. Also thanks for that entertaining video, I was laughing a lot. --Soren
  13. Great pictures. There is a lot of stuff going on in the past 2 years and it looks like I have to go back, soon. Thanks for posting. --Soren
  14. Today is the time to light up the second candle for the 2nd Advent. Normally I am not that religious, but this advent thing is something that I kept from my childhood. For me it fits perfectly with the cold christmas time. Right now it is not really that cold here in brazil, but I am still trying to keep the tradition alive. I am sure later when my fiance is back, then we will have a nice "2nd advent" dinner to finish the day. Time to light up the 2nd candle --Soren
  15. ^ There is the Stephan King movie "1408". People who are staying in that room are dying. I just saw the movie a few days ago and then they put us in room 1408. That was the joke. However, the hotel itself was really scary and no matter what room they would give us, we would leave again. It was just funny that we got that room. --Soren
  16. Hey Maureen, first of I have to say congrats to your new baby. Enjoy each moment, since the time is running so damn fast. We really had a great time in Rio and the visit at the Christ statue was one of the best moments. We are engaged since oct. 14th and I am happy we made that step. --Soren
  17. I am having a really good time here. It is totally different from every country I have visited before, but it is good to be here with my fiance. Haha, you are so right, Chrissie. I know a lot of couples from my time there. It is so easy to meet people from all over the world and even easier to get a BF/GF. I just went there to do the IP program, but what I found was so much better - I found my fiance. So far I would say it was the best I have ever done in my life. So, after all the promotion for the Disney Program, Disney should send the money to my account! --Soren
  18. Hey Joe, is the sausage in a baguette bread? At the chrismas market in Bremen they are selling since a few years these 1 Meter Bratwurst in a baguette bread. I love it and miss it so much... --Soren
  19. Aww, she is so cute. The picture with Santa is very nice. Last night we went to a mall near by and there also was a Santa. Nearly every kid started to cry and the photographer had a real hard time with that! Anyway, thanks for sharing, Elissa. --Soren
  20. 1st Advent What are you going to do? Today is the first advent and only 22 days left till christmas. I hope everyone has some time to enjoy this day with the family. Normally at this time of the year it is cold outside and I enjoy these days with some hot chocolate or a Glühwein (German wine, served hot like tea, with some christmas spices) and some of Grandmom´s selfmade cookies. But this year I am sitting here in shirt and shorts and when I take a look out of the window, then I can see it is very warm outside. Uhh, the summer here just started. So, totally different and kind of strange, but also interesting. Time for the first candle --Soren
  21. ^Uhh... Brent, I should send you some of the tasty German pens! --Soren
  22. No. Do you use hairpray?
  23. That would be nice. Just a few days ago I have seen that I have been to appr. 30 countries so far. I like to travel and see different countries and people. --Soren
  24. Yeha, I found Marzipan in a store near by! Now, after eating all, my stomach hurts!
  25. Just one thing: A new job I like!
