^ Thanks. It all depends on the destination we are flying to. Sometimes it is just a night, but we also have some destinations where we are staying for a week. I think in total I can say it is between 2 and 3 nights per layover. --Soren -

Photo-TR: Soren, The World Traveler. Update 02.03 – Next Stop: Hulhule Island, Maldives Hey everyone, after some very busy months, I am finally able to post some new pictures from my way around the world. This time I have been to the Maldives and even better, I took my brother with me. The crew hotel is right on Hulhule Island, the airport island. Even the hotel is right beside the runway, you can not really hear the plans landing and starting. Overall it is a nice hotel and we had a lot of fun. One day we booked a boat to Bandos Island to relax and for some snorkeling. Okay, onto the pictures: --Sören I am going to end this PTR with this shot, which shows how wonderful the trip has been. Thanks for reading. ... ... There have been so many different fish sorts, swimming around us. Next we went snorkeling. Footprints in the sand, I always wanted to be alone on an island. Everything was so peaceful and nice. Yep, thats where I could spend a couple months. ... And a wonderful beach... A great reef for snorkeling. However, we made it to this wonderful island. ... since the captain jumped overboard and left us alone. Bye bye hotel, we hope to see you again... The other day we took a boat over to Bandos Island. But therefor lots of motor bikes. They are not having lots of cars on the island. Next we saw this race car. I am just curious where they are going to run the car??? ... and the guy who is cutting apart those huge fish in less then 5 minutes. There we found some fish... Next morning we took the boat to Male, which is right beside Hulhule Island. ... and later in the evening, watching the sundown. ... ... A bit snorkeling... Right, a beer at the beach. What could be better then spending some time at the beach? The beach beside the hotel. The harbour right beside the hotel. From there you can take a boat to one of the islands. The pool. The Hotel. Male International Airport. Leaving our B767 aircraft. Hulhule Island, the airport from the Maldives. Actually there isn´t much more then the airport and a hotel. Welcome to the Maldives. My brother was allowed to sit in the cockpit for the start and landing. World Traveler Map: Maldives -

Adam, thanks for the great pictures. Looks like you both had a good time. I am kinda sad, that I never went there to take a look at the sculptures myslf. Anyway, those ice sculptures are looking awesome. --Soren -
1. What are your initial thoughts? I really like the idea of a premium membership. If it gives you these special benefits here and there, whithout cuting back some of the R+E benefits that everyone already got used to, then I guess it will work out. 3. Is this something that interests you? Sure, I would go for it. 5. Any additional feedback you can give us based on the information you see here. I think nearly everything that will support you guys in doing what are you doing for your members and to make TPR even better and better, is a good idea. --Soren

Photo-TR: Finally back at Disneyland (+Las Vegas)!!! Day 3: Disney´s California Adventure. The second day in the Anaheim area, we decided to spend it at Disney´s California Adventure. It was a great day, even with all the construction going on there. We were also able to ride the Toy Story ride for the frst time and loved it. Onto the pictures: --Soren That´s it for today. More is coming, soon. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Then we watched the parade... Great theming here, as well. Yep, I had fun at Toy Story Mania. Paradise Pier looks different from our last visit in 2207. ... ... Next ride of the day... Lots of construction going on here. The lagoon still looks like a mess. First ride of the day, the good old tower. It was kinda bussy, today. We had to take some characters pictures. This will also be gone, soon. Yummy... Yes, it is Halloween time, again. I like this in the middle between both parks. This will soon look totally different and I am so looking forward to it. -

Photo-TR: Finally back at Disneyland (+Las Vegas)!!! Day 2: A full day at Disneyland. This morning we directly went over to Disneyland to spend the whole day with the mouse. The weather was good and the park was packed. But we still could ride every single ride we were looking for. Onto the pictures: --Soren A nice firework at the end of the show. - That is it for now, more is coing, soon. ... The dragon is a great animatronic. How awesome they are using the ships from the Rivers of America for the show. In the evening we could see Fantasmic and I have to say I like this one also more then the one in Florida. The only bad thing is the small space in that area. I think it is a great parade for kids. ...and Daisy on our side. We had Donald and... Lots of characters in the parade. ... ... Later in the evening we were able to be part of the daily parade. That is it, finally...! ... ... ... ... ... ... ... I tried to catch only the Disney characters. Something sounds very wrong in that phrase! Help... I couldn´t resist and had to go to watch some dolls singing an evil song. Looks like he is having fun, too. Great theming underwater, as well. Some huge fish. but after a few meters, the view is getting much better. First of all it is looking like this... Our submarine for the next couple minutes. The theming is awesome. Next was the Nemo Submarine attraction. The Anaheim Toon Town is much better then the Florida one. After BTM we went over to Toon Town. ... ... ... Some onride shots. it is one of our favourite rides in the park. Yes, the Big Thunder Railroad. Then we went over to... Looks like they played until death. ... but I think, I like the Florida version better. Next Critter Country... That´s it from the Haunted Mansion. The ride was stopping at this scene for way to long. Good, I think my name was not on the list. That means I am still looking forward to lots of Xmas gifts. ... This is exactly what I need for my front door. ... I´ve never seen the Holiday makeover and was positive surprised. 000 Days until Xmas??? I don´t think so... Next was the Haunted Mansion. Moree real animals. They are just not moving, because they are afraid of us. Believe me, those elephants are real and yes, they are staying the whole day at the exact same point. Wild monkeys. Yep, we are excited and ready to go. The group is ready to go and we may see them never again. Ready for fishing? First ride of the day = Jungle Cruise. Our first land for today = Adventureland. I love these old cars. Ahh, there it is. Anywhere in the back should be the castle. A huge Mickey head pumpkin at Town Square. uhh, can´t wait to go... Finally back at Disneyland. How cute... Halloween decoration at the entrance to the Disneyland Park. Security Checks, I am glad it is not that full, yet. Only a few more steps and we made it. Celebrate Today... Hmm... Walking over to Disneyland. -
Photo-TR: Finally back at Disneyland (+Las Vegas)!!! Day 1: Arrival + driving down to Disneyland Hey guys, two weeks ago, Condor put me on a flight to Las Vegas. This time my wife Alessandra came with me and we had a great time over there. Since I got a 5 day layover, we were able to drive down to Los Angeles to spend some time at Disneyland, as well as a few days in Vegas. We arrived around noon in LAS and went directly to the Car Rental Center to get our car. After a quick stop at the hotel we started driving down to Los Angeles. Our Hotel was located in the Disneyland Resort area, with only a 10 minutes walk to Disneyland. It was good to be back after 2 years and finally getting the chance to hop on some rides we couldn´t do the last time. The weather was most of the time very good, with just a little bit rain on our day of depature. Vegas itself was really hot and dry for the rest of the time. We were staying at the Renaissance, which is really a nice hotel, only 5 minutes away from the Strip. This time we were also able to do a Show. Okay, onto the pictures: --Soren In Anaheim we checked in our hotel for the next 2 nights. After a while driving you couldn´t see much more then this! Uhh, 75mph... Why the heck do you have speed limits in the USA? And already on our way to Los Angeles. Quick stop at the hotel. Our car for the next couple days. Our big brother "Thomas Cook" from the UK was also there. Landed at the Las Vegas Airport. Uhh, look. There is Vegas and the Strip. Great view... The new Winglets on our B767. Above the clouds on our way to Las Vegas.

Disneyland Resort Guided Tours
Hattuchili replied to Hattuchili's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I´ve done several tours at Walt Disney World and always enjoyed them. Right now I am thinking about the "A Walk in Walt's Footsteps" tour and the "Cruzin' Disney's California Adventure Park" tour. The "Halloween" tour sounds also great, since we are not able to attend "Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party". --Soren -

Photo-TR: Soren, The World Traveler. Update 08.18. – Next Stop: Puerto Plata, Dom. Rep. Hey guys, Time for another update. I am sorry you had to wait so long, but I was way to busy in the last weeks. This time I want to Puerto Plata in the Dom. Rep.! The hotel is a RIU resort, which is in the middle of nowhere. You have to drive appr. 20 minutes to find some restaurants or shops outside of the resort. However, the RIU hotel is an all-inclusive resort, which makes is hard not to get drunk. hehe... Other than that the place is just okay. The food could be better and the rooms are always smelling kinda strange, which I am sure is caused by the humidity there. --Soren Onto the pictures: Let´s finish this report with a nice crew dinner. More is coming, soon. The Caramba bar, open 24/7 !!! The beach seen from a hill at the end of the beach. ... The beach. The pool. Here is the shopping area. Ready for exploring the resort? The view out of my room. Out of the uniform and right away a cold beer. So, your 4 litres alcohole are going to be replaced every 2 days. The mini bar - ready for a drink? Enough space for me. There we are. On the way to my room. Welcome at the RIU Bachata. World Traveler Map: Puerto Plata -

Schedule changing!!! Any recommendations for Vancouver, Canada? Hey guys, the company just informed me that I have to fly to Vancouver, tomorrow. It looks like that I will stay there for just 2 days. I have never been there and I found out there is a theme park, called Playland. Do you guys have been there? Any recommendations about the city and how to spend a couple days would be great. Thanks in advance, --Soren -
A couple days ago I´ve been in Anchorage. It was just a night stop and we din´t have a lot of time. But we went to a T.G.I. Fridays and had a couple beers. I had the Alaskan Amber and I have to say it was a nice one. The food was just okay, cause my steak was way too small... --Soren And some good food, but as I´ve said - the steak was too small. The Alaskan Amber. T.G.I. Fridays in Anchorage.
