PKI Opening day
verticalzero replied to coasterguy59's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I wish I could go to PKI Opening Day, but I live over 3,000 miles away. I'll be straight on the Beast and it's Son. -
Which gives more feelings?
verticalzero replied to Superdasher's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Drops: esp when it is angled up to 70% and you think your gonna come out of your seat and hit the ground. I can't get enough of Camel back hills. Not keen of strong launches as this makes me go "dizzy". -
Nearly all the coasters at Thorpe Park and Alton Towers are unique. Nemesis will make your headspin and Oblivion will give you an instant rush.. I'm going to Thorpe Park for my Birthday on the 30th March but won't be riding Stealth as it's not my kind of coaster. I'm sure it's amazing to ride. I should be able to visit Alton Towers sometime this year as I have not been for 3 years, not sure about Rita as I don't like LIM'ed starts much. I'm on a "Rail-tour" of the South Coast of England on the 1st April. This is one of my other hobbies which I have.

I have not heard "Shockwave" make any noise apart from it's "Roar" when going through the vertical loop. Anyone else ridden this Stand-Up "facing Backwards", its awesome, i wonder what "Mantis" would be like. I have heard "Colossus" at Thorpe Park making a grinding noise when going through it's "Cobra Roll". Why not try different trains and wheels..? Why can't the wheels and track be greased more to stop this..? It looks like it may "Valley" as it slows down so much. You will be able to see why when you visit the park this year on your tour of the UK

Coaster Motion
verticalzero replied to Superdasher's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have not had a dream about coasters, but I do miss them when the season comes to a close each year. I get depressed and can't wait till the parks open again, after i have been on a coaster I feel good for the rest of the day. The only bad thing which has happened to me while riding "MF" at Cedar Point, I became "dizzy" when going over the 2nd hill, (Anyone else had this feeling) and had to shake my head to get my eyes back in focus. -
Below are links for Jan and Feb of "Cobra" going though it's final testing before opening on the 18th March. I'll be there to try this coaster out, looks great fun, shame it's not longer with more camel hills and tunnels http://www.cobraride.co.uk/diary_january06.html http://www.cobraride.co.uk/diary_feb06.html

What Was the Last Beer You Drank?
verticalzero replied to robbalvey's topic in Random, Random, Random
Hey - PhishyBrewer: I only buy bottles of "Stella" and "Becks" from the local Tesco/Supermarket, less than £2 a bottle. I would not pay pub prices of £2.75 even £3 a bottle, not worth it as I don't drink much -
I hate people who drive so close to my car in the fast lane doing 90mph and put their lights on full so they can overtake cos they can't be bothered to wait. I don't like today's youth ( between 10 and 21 years ) as most of them do not have manners and are rude to everyone. People driving while on their mobile phone are annoying and dangerous, I some times take a photo of them if I'm not driving. People who kill other people and get "life" sentance, The judge goes all soft on them and they only get 20 years and let out to society to commit again, they should stay in prison for the rest of their lives. All the "TAX" I have to pay in the UK, A right RIP OFF, can't wait to leave the country for Spain or Portugal

That's so awful for something like that to happen to anyone. I hope the 4 men have their "nuts" cut off or put between 2 bricks. Make sure you carry some "pepper spray" in your handbag ladies -
Trip Planning help needed for UK
verticalzero replied to dubaidave's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Visit Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures. They have changed so much and you will enjoy the different types of coasters at both parks. Stealth should be open at Thorpe Park, hope to see a "roll-back" in action. You could go to Paulton's Park and try their new "Cobra" Bobsled coaster. Oakwood is a "must" park to visit, esp for "Megaphobia", wonderful coaster with massive " standing up Airtime" in the back seat down the 1st drop. Alton Towers and Drayton Manor Park are worth a visit as well. "Blackpool" is a Coasters heaven with so many to choose from, Wild Mouse and Grand National are the best.. Pepsi Max sux's with its rubbish layout and does get boring after the 1st drop.
