Great Saturday for football! Buckeyes beat Miami, Florida State loses, big, and Notre Dame loses. Does not get much better than that!

Great trip report, great pics. I usually keep my daughter a day out of school in the spring to go to CP, but perhaps I should do that one of the days in the fall before labor day. went.

Let the trash talking begin. Bleeding Scarlet and Gray here in Columbus. Feels like a title year for the Bucks. Almost sad that my three most hated teams... Michigan, duh, (although not much of a game in recent years) notre dame, (I really hate those guys) and USC (such a clean program) all appear to be headed towards not so great seasons. Give shout outs to your teams!

There is a coupon in the Entertainment book for 10.00 off platinum passes. At least there was last year, would assume it would be back this year. I think it was good for up to 6 passes. Using this last year for my daughter and I just about paid for the Entertainment book. Just an idea.

I agree, that will make it so much fun. I always like riding Magnum and WT at night for this reason.

I never understand the complaining right when the new ride is announced. Happened with Maverick as well, which I think turned out to be quite a great coaster. I notice this more with Cedar Fair than other companies. Never understand the hate towards Dick Kinzel either. Had a long conversation with him at Coastermania, at which he always stops by, very nice guy. He even commented on my Club TPR shirt one day this summer. So props to you Robb. Maybe a new rule for TPR? No complaining about a ride until you have ridden it. Or at least until it is built. I liken the complaining about a ride that has yet to be built to my daughter refusing to eat something she has never tried. I personally think the location of this, overlooking the lake, will be AWESOME.

Good question and as a person living in Columbus Ohio (Go Bucks!), I was kind of hoping that each park would get something new.... but different new rides. I am not a complainer though, new is good.

People will whine and complain. Guaranteed. Cedar Point could build a LIM launched, 500 foot inverted coaster with 5 minutes of airtime and 15 inversions and complaints would still be heard.

Great TR, nice to CP gets some love. I go there frequently so perhaps I get jaded. I do not know if I suggested Famous Dave's to you, I may have as I LOVE eating there. I would have told you to avoid MOST food in the park, exceptions are Happy Friar and the nachos and BBQ pork you can get at Red Garter and Last Chance Saloon, and of course any thing related to ice cream and funnel cakes. Other than those I eat at Famous Dave's.

Checked out the photos on the TPR:TM. Great photos of SD and Beast. I must admit I really liked the park better back then, perhaps it was because I was a kid, but I have such good memories of the park then. I remember climbing those stairs to ride SD. The queue for Beast was much better with the pond, which now I can show to my daughter rather than try to describe. These pics brought back some great memories. Anyone remember the way the park was themed in Oktoberfest? The food was tasty too.....

Not sure what your budget is or what you standards are... I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn at 6 and Rye Beach Road, right next to Sawmill Resort. Very nice place and when i stayed it was 53.00 with AAA discount. I also stayed once on 250, Americas Best Value Inn, in front of the Wal Mart, clean rooms and it was like 50-60.00. I have also stayed at the Budget hotel right at the intersection of Cedar Point road and 6. Would not recommend this place.

I think you can be on that show "I Should Not Be Alive...." Not a huge fan of Mantis, but glad it gets some love.
