  1. The amount of detail that can be seen in the photos is amazing.
  2. Great TR, nice photos. As a Columbus native and resident, always nice to see my hometown show up in a TR. I agree completely. I do not mind paying a little more at a park, as long as the food is decent. CP's walk up burger and dog stands are, in my opinion, horrible. If really hungry I go to Midway Market, where quantity is a good thing. The pulled pork is good at the saloons. Or to the Marina for Famous Dave's. Going to CP tomorrow, will try Pink's.
  3. Not so much what I did today, but yesterday, seeing as the world was going to end, I told my boss off. Monday may be a little awkward
  4. I have been to opening day for the last several years. From the looks of this trip report, glad I did not go. It is almost as if opening day snuck up on Cedar Point.
  5. Well said Robb. Ah the usual "I have not ridden it yet, but it is crap" stuff. Happens every time a new ride opens. With CP as my home park, I read a lot about the "awful" rides there. But I keep going back because the rides and coasters are fun. Yes, Magnum is not the fastest, smoothest, highest coaster, but I still ride it because it is fun. Once you know how to ride Mantis, it can be fun as well. One of my faves is Wicked Twister, not the highest, fastest, most forceful. but it is a ton of fun, at least to me. I even ride Mean Streak once a year, whether my spine likes it or not. Cheetah looks fun, isn't that what it is supposed to be? I guess Intamin will read this and say "S^%t, gotta tear it down and do it all over, some people of great importance on TPR said it is not fast enough"
  6. My review of the 25th Anniversary touring production of Les Miserables. If never seen, there be spoilers here....... Saw this last night at the Ohio Theater, which is a beautiful place to see a show. I spent a little extra on the tickets to get in the Loge as the seats are more comfy and best seats in the house. There are some changes made most notably the absence of the "turntable". I always thought this made the show flow very well. You can hear some scenery getting moved around in a few places, I remember this most when Fantine dies. After thinking about this I think the stage and scenery is actually better than the original in some ways. There are beautiful backdrops that are paintings by Victor Hugo which they do really cool things with to simulate movement such as through the sewers. The barricades are not "driven" onto the stage which was always an impressive moment in the show. The talent was top notch. Was very impressed, one of the strongest voices in the cast was Enjorlas. (sp). Highlights were On My Own (the person singing Eponine was AWESOME, I even told her on the way out that Lea Salonga had nothing on her) and Bring Him Home. Javert was very good as well and Stars was great. Goosebumps and the desire to stand up and sing along with One Day More and the Finale. Overall, a SPECTACULAR edition of Les Mis. If this comes near you, go see it. I am actually getting ready to go see this again today with my daughter.
  7. Why you young kids with you fancy schmancy browsers and broadband internet... (start crotchety old man voice) Why when I was a kid, we did not have broadband internet. We had dial up. And we liked it! And we did not have have instantly streaming porn, we had to download dirty .gif pictures that took 20 minutes to download. And we liked it! And we did not have a browsers that could load a page in a few seconds.... we had Mosaic, which took forever to load anything, if ever. And we liked it!
  8. ^ Yes, show is great. I am a complete Les Mis geek. In fact, I am seeing it on Sunday night at 8, and then again on Sunday afternoon at 1. Yes, I have a problem. Date on sat. night, then taking my daughter on Sunday.
  9. Yes! Loge tickets for Les Mis in March at the Ohio Theater. I have heard good things about this 25th Anniversary production.
  10. This last report had everything. Food. Lube. Booze.Predator. Pipe shaped like a penis. Ball in a Cup. Swedish instructor. And what could possibly top the bacon cupcake, honestly? Ok, no coasters, but pretty darn everything else you need to live a happy life. No matter how many pictures I see of the ship, I get the sense that in order to appreciate the immense size of it, you have to see it in person. (TWSS)
  11. Awesome photos and reports! RCCL should pay you. I am washing my eyes out after watching the Lady Gaga dance class.
  12. Great TR, love the photos. You always have good trip reports.
  13. I now feel like taking a trip to see this in person, not too far from me. The TR was very cool and interesting.
  14. I heart water marks. Well at least the ones that Chroniq did. Those are hilarious.
  15. Yes! That is the Big Man! Big Mike met Dee Snider of Twisted Sister fame that day. Perhaps he can share that pic.
  16. Ah the world has returned to normal. Welcome back Big Mike! Can I share some photos of the Big Man? My daughter and I had a the pleasure of hanging out with the Big Man in NYC. The Big Man and Kayla in Times Square! The Big Man and Kayla on Top of the Rock! The Big Man ran into some hotties from Germany while up here. I am pretty sure they remembered him from his recent trip to Oktoberfest. At Central Park, I think across from The Plaza. No law breakers here.
