What if Jurassic Park was real?

No credits, forget about it. Maybe if they had coupon days... -
An example of horrible parenting skills

I have, Idiocracy so true it's scary, each generation overall seems more stupid than the one before it. Damn, I'm out of Gatorade, I won't be able to water the garden. -

The scary part is all the dumbasses are having children, and lots of them, I don't know where they all sleep in the trailer. As a little kid I conned my way onto rides where maybe I was a little too short. One such time was the Zipper at Luna Park Sydney, I bounced around that compartment like a tennis ball - I didn't ride a zipper again for twenty years. -
A Credit that may just not be worth it..

I'd ride them - you've got to die sometime, it beats expiring while you lie in your own faeces in a nursing home. That chinese coaster looks bizarre, like an arrow had a drunken one night stand with a chance taboggan. -
Tivoli Gardens Discussion Thread

Damn, we went to Tivoli a year too early. The lady shaking hands with the gaint furball is Princess Mary of Denmark, who is actually Australian. Prince Frederick picked her up at a bar in Sydney called the Slip Inn (no kidding). Oh wow, now my Friday night plans are sorted. -

^That would be freaky especially since I'm 6'3", remind me to bring a helmet if I ever get to South Korea. Also I apologise if I was creating the impression that Scandanavian rides aren't safe - in fact they're awesome. -

^My comment about clearance envelopes in Scandanavia was mostly tongue in cheek but I did notice quite a few rides were cutting it fine with clearances. -
Knott's Scart Farm Part 6 - Lust, Bobo and Lameness Bloodlust: probably Knott's most professional looking show, part comedy, part serious vampire themed musical episodes. Not bad. Professor Freaks Silly and simple play involving TV Ratings, studio politics, zombies and vampires. Worth it just for the proliferation of corny double entendres. Mazes in this update: Bobo's Clown Maze: Offbeat clown themed maze a few good scares but more humorous. Day Of The Dead: unfortunately not based on the Romero zombie classic. Mexican themed 3D maze, very bright but pretty dead. Alien Annihilation: worst maze there, a shooting maze but it just made you want to shoot yourself. Think the Disaster Transport queue except even more boring. I don't think this 3D masterpiece inspired James Cameron to create avatar. Maybe they can have a district 9 themed alien maze next year - "Prawn Uprising". The dummies were more lively than the scare actors. The maze was called "Day of the Dead" but when I hear that title I want flesh eating zombies and lines like "They're f**king dead and you want to teach them tricks?" A bit of a contrast. Also I think the scare actors were getting into the Mexican theme of the maze by having a late siesta. Only ten more shifts and I can afford breast implants and maybe also buy soap for Professor Freak’s mouth. Professor Freak was truly the master of the double entendre, though rather disturbed by the deep voiced Vampirella. As if the mazes weren’t traumatizing enough, Ghostrider was doing brisk business – for the Buena Vista Health Services Industry. “You die Happy Gilmore!” Adam Sandler was seen running down Beach Blvd with a wet patch in his crotch. Maintenance must have run out of red nose paint. Bobo’s maze seemed focused on bodily emissions, fortunately not including reproductive ones. Dick Kinzel’s policy of one trash can for every two guests provided plenty of cover for scare actors. In a cynical alliance with the nuclear waste disposal industry, unwanted nuclear material was being disposed of in souvineer balloons. At this stage I was praying for Wesley Snipes to make an appearance as Blade. Far worse than Chucky, little four eyes goes for potty time on people’s heads. What would you do if I sang out of key? You’d just keep looking at really hot me Dude: “Why do I always get the redhead?” Redhead: “Maybe if I close my eyes, he’ll go away”. Blonde: “Not this guy again”. Brunette: “No wait, an Aussie tourist walked in, yeah him instead”.

I get the impression Scandanavia hasn't heard of clearance envelopes, watch out for that headchopper! Which gets to my point, are there safety regulations in some regions that require a pull through and clearance envelope tests to be passed as legally safe? -
Mitch Hawker's Coaster Poll 2009!

Steel - 160 Wood - 234 I think mine shows that a lot of the top rated wood coasters are in the US. -
If you could tear down one coaster
downunder replied to coasterfreaksrttd's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^I rode Ghostrider in 2005 in September and it was fine, jerky but not punishing and it was the same every time before that. Then August 2007, it was so bad it was it moved into the the "please make it stop" category and in October last year it was still bad. It used to be fun and I've marathoned GR many times but not anymore. I guess because I ride infrequently I really notice if the ride has changed. Get rid of boomerand at Knotts, and make a nice big space for some Intamin hyper goodness. -

^I'd be jumping for joy if that was the case. Knowing our luck they'll bring back the SFNE SROS leg irons. -

Front on Ghostrider was much better than the rest of the train. Iron Wolf should be torn down, but we might get our wish there. -

The trains have arrived, how awesome. Now we can start complaining about the OTSRs again. -

^^I rode it October at night and I'm very fit too, and I started getting a back spasm in the mid back. Maybe I need the extra padding an ACEr has - to absorb the impact. -

^Ghostrider is super painful, but I believe it's a cynical ploy by Knott's to increase wheelchair rentals but local Chiropractors are offering discounts if you show you Knott's ticket. Intrimidator 305 - it's got trim brakes, tear it down now! I think the Wild Mouse at Quassy will tear itself down, luckily I have the credit so that won't happen when I'm on it. -

That trim looks like the one they use to stop the train on Kingda Ka except it's on the uphill bit. What I'm worried about is that they might seriously slow the ride down for the rest of the course. -

^Good call, you never know until you ride but my cause for optimism has been reduced by the sight of those trims. I didn't know Expedition GeForce had trims, I'll find out in person in June / July whenever we get there. -

Compare the savage stapling you get on El Toro to the generous amount of room Liseberg gives you on Balder ON EVERY CYCLE and I think it's safe to say that America hates airtime. It's not all bad, Phoenix still has a buzz bars, I like my coaster rides to be near death experiences. Balder that was like El Toro times three without stapling. -

I can see the KD PR teams spin on this: We have installed motion control devices at various points on the ride to give you more time to savour the ride experience. -
I think a cage match would be an ideal way to settle this. BTW Conan rules Leno drools.

In breaking news from Kings Dominion's PR department, their new coaster for 2010 has been renamed InTRIMidator 305.
