  1. matt_g, thanks from me as well. I'll be in London in June so this information was extremely helpful, especially for getting to Alton Towers.
  2. Totally looking forward to the report, I'm itching to know what I305 will be like.
  3. Great night shots, it does look very impressive, I'm looking forward to seeing first riders reactions in a very short time.
  4. ^Yeah it was funny concert, Kim Deal would be going - okay were starting side 2 of Doolittle now. They did Velouria off Bossanova, and Nimrod's Son and Vamos off Come On Pilgrim. I think people were a bit stumped at first because not many people were familiar with their b-sides but we all went crazy when they went into Debaser.
  5. ^That was the bad part, they only did one song off Surfer Rosa, which was the set closing Where Is My Mind? which is a big fave. They opened with 4 b-sides and then played Doolittle straight through, went off and then came back and played Wave Of Mutilation again as a b-side version. Then some stuff off Come On Pilgrim and one off Bossanova before the closer.
  6. It sounds similiar to one I had on Vista called Antivirus Vista. If you do a search on the net you'll find tips to get rid of it. I have Spybot Search & Destroy and that got rid of it after running some code I got off the net but then it came back. I think it can't get past more robust antivirus programs like Nortons (which I can't run on my laptop because it slows it down too much). I don't have a lot of stuff on my laptop, so I just said stuff it and wiped it and re-installed Windows. But like I said do a search, there were plenty of tips on how to deal with Antivirus Vista, so there should be like wise for XP. If you ever come across who came up with Ativirus Vista/XP, kick them in the balls for me.
  7. The Pixies at Hordern Pavillion Sydney - Doolittle 20th Anniversary Tour. Started a bit slow and as soon as they went into Debaser the first track from Doolittle everyone sang every song, even kids who wouldn't have been born when Doolittle came out. Kim Deal is such a sweetheart, and even though Frnak Black (pictured) looks like an ACEr, his music rocks. Who let that ACEr up on stage, wait a minute it's the Godfather of Grunge.
  8. Good to know that I'm not the only one who has heard of Alter Bridge. "Hey" by The Pixies - saw them last Monday night, very good.
  9. No, Apple already controls people's minds, except me, they will just add an iPhone app to interface to people's minds. Do you think (wish) Microsoft will go out of business because someone invents an alternative that would be widely adopted?
  10. ^Kate Winslet in the Titanic nude painting scene made that movie worth seeing. Survival Of The Dead - I'm a big Romero fan, but this still didn't live up to the first 3 dead films, very interesting and at times suspenseful but still lacking the magic of Night, Dawn & Day. Up In The Air - I really liked this and I could relate as a fanatical accumalator of frequent flyer point and commtment phobe. Jason Reitman is bad 3 from 3 for me so far, he has a great feel for his material. Jennifer's Body - second time around, I liked this even more, and not for the obvious reasons, so many interesting themes and an original story.
  11. Luna Park Sydney POV's Wild Mouse day and night & the Tango Train of death, more photos to follow. Wild Mouse Day Wild Mouse Night Tango Train Of Ball Crushing Death
  12. Luna Park Sydney 31st October, 2009 It's Halloween at Luna Park Sydney, let's see the amazing Halloween spectacular at the number 1 amusement park in Sydney. Standing on the most prime piece of real estate in Sydney, this is porno for property developers. It's time to do the clown, welcome to the number 1 amusement park in Sydney. They have a lot of pass options, the "Get Stupid" pass was available at the bar. Barefoot rugby league? As a former professional in the sport, that would be more like the broken foot rugby league. I passed on an annual pass, yes it's what you think, payment involves giving oral pleasure to a pot bellied clown. If I had an annual pass and used it regularly, I'd die of boredom. The cast members obviously didn't get the memo that it was October 31. Cast members were harder to find than salad at an ACE buffet. Time for the number 1 coaster in Sydney, the only coaster in Sydney. I'll just close my eyes and pretend I'm on Superman Ride Of Steel (Bizarro never!) - not working. POV's to follow.
  13. Knott's Part 7 - The Final Sordid Chapter The Hanging show was Knott's answer to Bill and Ted at Universal, by comparison it was about as close as a debate between Rain Man and Good Will Hunting - Universal rules. Though it was still trashy fun. In summation, Knott's is way behind Universal for quality but is still plenty of fun. "Where have you been? You said you'd call, I boiled a bunny rabbit for you". All the clowns at Knott's seemed to look drunk or stoned or confused, they were very happy clowns. Knott's is the poor man's haunt compared to Universal right down to having to settle for Rob Zombie's obese brother Bob. Dumbledore did a big number about being gay backed by the village people. I'm surpised Dumbledore hasn't teached at a private school in Sydney, thank f*** I went public. "I know it's your first lesbian kiss but you're going to like it, lots of tongue". The Titney Beers trailer pulled up at Knott's for some lip synching awesomeness. Blade you're our only hope, no more emo Twilight vampires, please. Once the 17 year old realised she had hooked up with a 138 year old who didn't even have a pulse - revulsion ensued and the statutory rape police followed. James T Kirk gets all the girls his legion Trekkie followers can't, I guess he's living their wet dream. There were two good reasons to enjoy the Hanging show. This number was from Ben Dover The Musical, Dumbledore is credited as the choreographer. Granny Pants the sequel, time to close the back door. The most horrifying thing at Knott's haunt, I'm having the part of my brain that stores that memory removed. They all pledged allegiance to Knott's Scary Farm, until they successfully audition for the Bill and Ted show at Universal. Silver Bullet ran well in the dark, it was almost exciting. Knott's was fun, and I'm a Haunt fanatic now - I'll be back next year.
  14. ^No, it would be - son of a son of a beast. Couldn't resist the Jimmy Buffett reference.
  15. ^^I'm pretty sure Wildcat is on wood blocks (someone please confirm), didn't there used to be a joke at CP, that if they wanted to move it they would just get all the staff - lift and walk. Anyway, token SFMM reference, wow X2 is so cool and rad.
  16. I might try and get up to SFMM at Halloween this year, it will be a pain to get there but it might be fun.
  17. I think this has already been noted, and it would crack me up if they did, what if Cedar Point gets in a dinky little portable coaster for their kid's area this year, just to spite SFMM. That would be so Dick. That might work if the law wasn't put in place in Ohio where parks/fairs are not allowed to operate portable coasters To make it even more ironic Cedar Point could buy the roller skater from Kentucky Kingdom, they could call it Snoopy's World Record Coaster. Out of curiosity (I'm not trying to be smart) but how does Ohio classify a coaster as portable? I mean Wildcat at CP might fit the bill as a portable but obviously it has met some legal criteria.
  18. I think this has already been noted, and it would crack me up if they did, what if Cedar Point gets in a dinky little portable coaster for their kid's area this year, just to spite SFMM. That would be so Dick. Kinzel, that is... On Ninja, does it run significantly better at night like Vortex at Canada's Wonderland does? I've been to SFMM many times but haven't ridden it at night.
  19. I watched a bit of 13 last night, did Bryan's mother have a say on the final cut, it looks like he gets good coverage on this one. Nobody knows how to look quite as demeted as Tony, if he could act he could be the new Crispin Glover. Is there an easter egg for Tyler's puppet show?
  20. ^Isn't it a steel coaster poll? That would be scary Prowler and Voyage in a poll like this, fanboy war.
  21. I've been on 8 of the 10 coasters listed and only 3 of them make my own top ten. What people like in coasters is very subjective, but Bizarro all the way for me - daylight second.
  22. Nice photos, didn't they have two arrow loopers at the same time, albeit very different sizes? Maybe they'll re-ignite the tradition with two stand-ups - though I hope Iron Wolf gets reduced to molten steel.
  23. Congrats to New Orleans. It's not so hard to be a Saint in Miami City.
  24. Go the Prawns! Avatar should win Best Unoriginal Screenplay. Down here we only care about Australians involved, so we'll only care about Best Costume Design & Best Short Film.
